  1. I had a chat with a friend who mentioned that PET had a specific policy to not allow white Rhodesians in to Canada. When she tried to immigrate here 20 to get her family away from Mugabe’s terrorism, she was not welcome, even tho she was married to a Canadian.
    I was not aware of that policy, so in my research I came across this discussion of our election (it is from July/15) , including a description of his PET’s admiration for China, and his petty ways.
    We have much to be concerned about with our present Prime Minister who has publicly stated he will follow his fathers ways.

  6. In or about 1989, during Apartheid, I was at a Shell filling station in Saskatoon, Sk. I knew the owner, my Dad had owned a Shell station, we had met her at conventions. She always hired U of S students, very nice lady. A group of protesters were blocking her driveway entrances, and access to the pumps. On my way out, I stopped and got out and tried to reason with the protesters that Shell Canada had nothing to do with South Africa. They wouldn’t reason, so I got into the car, brake stalled it until the rear tires were smoking blue and screaming like a Liberal in hell!! I was driving a 1988 Ford Crown Vic with a trailer towing package. Needless to say, they let me out. On the way ou, one of the protesters hit my car with her placard, so I got out and broke it on the asphalt. Within a minute or so, the cops showed up. (The owner of the station had had phoned it in.)
    The cop told the protester that she was responsible for the damage on my trunk, and he did reprimand me for the ”burnout.” The protesters never did come back to that particular station, and I got a free fill-up later on. The Crown Vic ended up at an auction sale, we never did fix the dent.

  11. Why would anyone buy this? It is a “company: that is politically controlled, being forced to buy “clean energy:” that is very expensive, and prices not set by the market.
    I suspect a lot of Liberal cronies have lined up for a draft of cash, as have the federal liberals – they will go feral

  19. There is talk of Harper filling the vacant Senate seats before before he resigns. What if he were to fill them with current Liberal MP’s? All 22 vacancies.
    Firstly, it would reduce the Libs to a minority. Secondly, it would put Trudeau in an awkward position. Would they be Liberal Senators or independant Senators who belong to the Liberal party.
    The MP’s would have to come from ridings which could be won by Conservatives in the subsequent by-elections.
    Of course it could all backfire, but it would be fun.
