    I was sorely tempted to put up a few Libtard campaign signs in Edmonton’s Central Cemetery as I passed through a week before the election.
    How do we manage to have 25 million plus registered voters in a population of 35 million?
    The demographic is this lopsided?
    There are only 10 million Canadians between new born and 18years old?.
    Friend of mine pointed this out today, 25 million registered voters? How can that be?
    Sadly if those numbers are true Canada has fewer children than long guns.

    The natural gas part was particularly funny. You don’t suppose that it has anything to do with electricity prices in Ontario do you? Wait, didn’t the little Trudeau say he believed in global warming and wants a carbon tax?

  5. StatsCan came out with a report in early October claiming there were more people over 65 than under 15. The number under 15 was claimed to be 5,749,000; if you assume a more or less equal number of children in each annual category, adding 20% should approximate the number under 18 – a total of 7,000,000. That’s a long way from 10 million, so maybe there are more than 25 million voters. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.

    Does Mr. McCabe actually think that those running the show at the Paris get-together are even mildly interested in combatting so-called “climate change” using methods that don’t require extorting millions upon millions of dollars from taxpayers? I think that President McCabe would serve his members better by applying common sense and using his head for better purposes than composing condescending, ass-kissing letters to the new PM.

  7. Ontario agriculture contributes $13.7 billion to the provincial economy, and that contribution has to come from somewhere. How about from taxpayers in the rest of Canada, eh Prime Minister?

  8. The “Holier than thou” carbon tax will burden agriculture, transportation, and the natural resource industries which make up a large part of Canada’s economy.

  11. To be fair to the farmers – they are often seen as a target by Global Warming people. Cows create a lot of greenhouse gas. This seems to me to be a pre-emptive strike against any anti-farmer environmental initiatives, rather than support of the extreme Green postion.

If it didn’t, we as a species would be in a world of hurt, or extinct. -40C in Edmonton in January. Soooo???? +35C in Edmonton in August????? Again, soooo????? Where have all the teachers gone?

What can these hogs possibly want – they already have most agri-commodities under a government regime of supply control pricing via the soviet styled marketing boards – they have 2 levels of government persecuting small producers who are not part of their Agri-monopoly – what more besides captive markets and price fixing do they want – direct transfers??

    These people want to impose a carbon tax and think that they can control the climate by doing so. They propose sustainable green energy within the next twenty years and yet they haven’t and can’t even produce enough crops to sustain the Canadian population over the last 150 years. Where does the green produce come from during a typical Canadian winter and how does it get here? If all their proposals and plans reach fruition Canadians are going to be a lot “leaner and meaner” and that will mean no more fat cats, err… sorry pigs, at the public trough. Like the man said “Be careful of what you wish for …” Mr. McCabe might well find himself working alongside an imported foreign worker pulling weeds by hand in the turnip or sugar beet patch in a few years if the carbon tax is implemented because food stamps are not going to cover the cost of importing food.

  20. OFA has unfortunately compromised its position by cozying up to McGuinty/Wynne Liberals on the Green Energy Act, and specifically championing useless industrial wind turbines plants on prime crop land.
    Rather than protecting irreplaceable crop land they have encouraged members to sign on with wind companies. Looks like they plan more of the same at the federal level.

    Yes, I did enjoy that. Can you imagine the cost of running nat-gas pipe down every side road in Ontario? It would make the windmills look like nothing.
    Interestingly, Ontario has gone to considerable lengths to make private gas wells uneconomical. Getting free heating fuel out of the ground in perpetuity is not enough money to pay for the well these days. The reason of course is regulations. The well and handling equipment they specify only pays for a commercial installation supplying a city.
    Anybody think that’s a coincidence?

  25. Loved the picture of the pigs. It reminded me of a time, long ago to be sure, when I got into a tussle with a federal government Union. I told them they were “like pigs at the trough”. Lordy, Lordy….. you should have heard the squeals. Good times.
