I have this hunch that we will be hearing of a new word – paedophobia, i.e., hatred of paedophiles – for paedophiles that’s akin to homophobia (“hatred of homosexuals”), Islamophobia (“hatred of Muslims”), and transphobia (“hatred of transsexuals”).
What proponents of each of those world-views do is this:
1) Actually change the meaning of the Latin -phobia from “fear” to “hatred of”. In other words, change the language as homosexuals did to the word “gay”.
2) Ensure that “hatred of” something is a terrible, mean attitude to have.
3) Propagandize the general population into believing that those who don’t accept homosexuality, Islam, or transsexualism are horrible, mean people by describing them as hate-filled.

In a “civilized society” one of the jobs of government is to provide a safe environment for persons to go about their business: that is, to pursue jobs, education, families, etc. If that safety is missing, that government shouldn’t be surprised when others step up to provide deterrents to aberant behaviour.
