You’ll note that what wasn’t published was the cost to earnings ratio.
Overall, the solar facility produced power at an average of 13.6 percent of its potential capacity, generating enough electricity to supply about 30 homes.

Is solar energy even viable in the Arizona desert?
Start harnessing the Hot Air coming from Washington D.C. as welll as all those enviroentalists groups and activists we could realy create some heat to lift at least 5000 hot air balloons and Al Gore as well as Robert K David Suzuki can lead the way
With the current solar minimum that’s been with us for some time now, the planet is getting colder. Many scientists (The uncorrupt ones) are starting to get nervous about an extended period of cold temperatures not unlike the Maulder Minimum that is well recorded in our history books.
I pray for such an event even though human suffering would surely follow because it might be the only thing that could save us from a worldwide soft tyranny being presently put together by the “new pharaohs”.
Complete worldwide control over fossil fuels (Still superior energy to anything else) is under way.
Obama, UN, Pope, media, Governments, pop culture and Idols: All complicit.
This time, the new Moses could be the sun itself.
We must fight back too…Myself, anytime I can educate a “zombie”, I do. Be vocal about it.
“Fair-to-partly-cloudy “partially ideal” days occurred 20 percent of the year. Cloudy and overcast conditions blocked out direct rays 70 percent of the year, with November, December and January particularly bad due to snow.”
They didn’t know what caused those 10,000 lakes. And Minnesota is not close to the equator. Who knew?
So an $1400 panel takes 17 years to pay back. I am guessing that they are not considering maintenance cost and cost to connect to the grid. If I am correct, then the $1400 panel creates $82.35 worth of power every year. And, what is the useful life of a panel anyway?
Also, notice that all the beautiful green vegetation that surrounds the solar farms has been stripped away and turned into gravel or something not so green.
All they have to do is put the solar panels on large flat beds and drive them around to sunny spots with a VW powered diesel semi’s that don’t pollute. You drive East to West and you get more daylight and at night you quickly drive back to the East.
Problem solved! Gee, I should have stayed in university!
From the article: “GRE recorded ideal weather conditions — clear, sunny days from sun-up to sunset — just 10 percent of the time. Surprisingly, none of the perfect days came during typically sunnier, summer months. Fair-to-partly-cloudy “partially ideal” days occurred 20 percent of the year. Cloudy and overcast conditions blocked out direct rays 70 percent of the year, with November, December and January particularly bad due to snow.”
Overall, the solar facility produced power at an average of 13.6 percent of its potential capacity, generating enough electricity to supply about 30 homes. “Solar customers understand how the erratic nature of solar impacts their energy requirements when they make their solar investment,” he said.
Yes, I’m sure that’s fully disclosed – running at 13.6% of potential. Somehow I doubt it. Then again I worked in the investment and insurance business, so maybe I’m jaded. Nope, don’t think so, given the charlatan climate change rent seekers that dominate that so-called “industry,” who make greasy life insurance salesmen look like Mother Teresa.
The journalists terminology sucks. 13.9 of expected. What does that mean? Rated capacity, or have they already factored in downtime, like for example night time. 13.9% of 50% is about 7% of capacity, about what I might expect in Minnesota.
Good point, no one wants to mention the expected life of a solar panel or windmills, probably because it destroys their propaganda.
I cannot think of a single complex manufactured item made in the past 20 years that will last 17 years. Whether it’s a TV, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, furnace, fridge, auto, etc., etc., they all seem to wear out and require expensive repairs after 5 to 10 years, some don’t even last that long, like video games my kids pay big bucks for and last maybe 3 years.
But solar panels, made in China with due Chinese diligence, will last 17 years? Not bloody likely.

If you study what a Solar minimum cycle does, you would automatically conclude that installing solar panels is totally absurd. Solar flare declines have started since the late 1990’s at the same time as this now corrupt Green movement did.
When the Earth stops receiving atmospheric changing cosmic radiation bombardment from THE primary source of life, the Sun, the atmosphere chemically starts producing more cloud formation. Typically, large, low range cumulus type clouds. On a planetary scale, these clouds obstruct more than normal the heat of the Sun. Being that 2/3’s of the planet’s surface is Ocean; the water cools down, the poles enlarge, etc…
BTW, today, Mulcair is in Nunavut saying Harper has muzzled Canadian scientists into speaking about the dangers of GLOBAL WARMING (Someone tell Tommy the unshaven that the lie is now called Climate change). This was of course a CBC report were they are still to this day looking to interview these mysterious scientists. All they can get is a fruit fly expert named Suzuki or a fat ex American VP.

It sucks there too:

Both our local schools have gone solar with solar pannels over this renewable energy poppycock what we realy need to do is harness all the Hot Air coming from Washongtons D.C. Al Gore and those annoying Greenpeace twats
