Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
The usual suspects are urged to ask Young Master Turdo what he is doing to re-distribute his own wealth.
A large percentage?
Good grief. What does it say about modern Canadians that this knob will receive millions of votes.
So no more retiring from the CBC, for a example, and continuing the same work through one’s specially created consulting company.
He AND his advisors can’t be THAT friggin’ stupid! Can they?!? Holy crap.
I question the authenticity of the quote anyways, it couldn’t be Justin, not a single “uuhhh” or “uuhhmm” in the entire paragraph.
Anyways, I don’t expect any politician from any party to point out the simple fact that government itself is the largest impediment to any company’s ability to afford to employ full-time Canadians.
He should know what wealthier Canadians who don’t create jobs, or do anything else for that matter.
“…I don’t expect any politician from any party to point out the simple fact that government itself is the largest impediment to any company’s ability to afford to employ full-time Canadians.”
Economic imbecile. Unfortunately, so are a lot of Canadians who will vote for him or Tommy the Commie. They are unaware and easily distracted by media manipulations like dead babies and the refugee crisis/invasion. I am not optimistic.
Oh Justin I understand.
Just like how you, a wealthy Canadian used to play hookey and skip Question Period (while being paid as an MP by middle class Canadians’ taxes) to ‘tweak’ (read ‘double dip’) your income by charging $20,000 to speak as an ‘MP’ to ‘assist’ charities?
A new level of hypocrisy in Canadian politics has been reached.
As a tax accountant, I can say with certainty that he’s right. I use corporations every day to help my clients save tax dollars.
What the substitute drama teacher doesn’t get is that my clients will still write cheques to the government for 5 figures – it just so happens that those cheques are half of what they would write if they were unincorporated. Most of those clients reinvest those savings into more equipment and staffing for their business.
Oh, and they’re all middle class.
A cute boy with that intellect just gives the Fifes the Simpsons the Gaysomes a thrill up their legs, and wet spots. The media morons just keep trying to spoon feed this clown to Canadians like he is a winner, it says everything we have to know about media intelligence thats for sure.
More incongruent unscripted Freudian gaffing by Parliament’s number one empty vessel. This preening retard actually thinks government creates wealth! Jobs and economic growth come from government decree – and that big money has to use dingy little sweat shops as a tax shelter (rather than buying a political party led by a preening blank boy).
Mein Gott, this is one clueless puppet of the Laurentian oligarchy he talks like uncle Fidel and lives like uncle Mo. He has no idea how things work in this country
-He really is as stupid as his fan base.
BTW – On the button Bartinski – the media will sink themselves with the public forcing this idiot on us. At least when they did it with Obama he ha the sharpness of a career criminal – but this walking ego is just plain clueless.
“Mein Gott, this is one clueless puppet of the Laurentian oligarchy he talks like uncle Fidel and lives like uncle Mo. He has no idea how things work in this country
-He really is as stupid as his fan base.” BINGO!
Bartinski also nails it.
As to Shiny Pony’s answer, Duh? A bag of hammers is smarter.
Unlike his father, Justin doesn’t have the rudimentary political smarts to lie about his motivations and intentions.
By tweaking, he means sending the CRA dogs after small businesses.
And then we will take that money to help the middle class who we all know would not be caught dead running a small business. They all work for some level of government
What’s really funny is seeing the very sober elder statesman and former Prime Minister Paul Martin standing at Trudeau’s side when he makes these ridiculous pronouncements. Doing his best not to cringe from embarrassment, since Martin is an accomplished former finance minister and successful businessman as well. Taking a bullet for the Party, I guess!
What a useless **bleep**!!
I am very worried though. The CTV and the CBC news feeds are determined to get Mr. Harper off topic. Yesterday morning in Mississauga he spoke about the economy, and some of the economic platform items that they are going to implement during the next term; all the reporters on the floor wanted to talk about was the Duffy trial, and how it is making the “wheels fall off the bus” of the CPC campaign. Utterly disgusting. If the idiots who walk the highways and byways of our country can’t look beyond what the media are trying to do, we are f**ked.
I would have asked Justin if he or his family owned any sort of small business.
this impersonation of an intelligent human being is a waste of oxygen. that is all I can say that is polite at this stage of his campaign!
To the statist clowns, there’s always some “rich guy” to soak so they needn’t bother with the tedious costing of their programs, they’ll “find” the money. What the taxpayer doesn’t seem to understand is when their plans to soak the rich fail, their program promises are still there, so the bar must be set lower and lower. We actually have an election in this country where it’s accepted by many LIVs that if people work their butts off and have the temerity to earn over $100,000 per year, whether or not they’re the sole breadwinner it’s OK to confiscate half their subsequent earnings in income taxes alone.
This is a totally false narrative from Trudeau among his many, such as: tax cuts go to rich so therefore hurt the “middle class;” Economies are driven from the “top down;” and humanitarian aid can be delivered into war torn areas without robust military protection. The real problem is the NDP are even worse with their mix of Labour envy politics and Marxism, and worse still, they don’t care – they’ll take your vote as license to sell us down the Seine with massive carbon tax increases, which won’t work other than as free stuff for governments. Instead of admitting failure they’ll double down because that regime will continue to serve their personal interests and false philosophies.
A truly scary prospect for hardworking Canadians; are voters really stupider than chimps? We will find out soon enough; from my perch it’s starting to look like a slow motion train wreck (no fossil fuels on board of course).
My God.
What an absolute eedijt!! This man has obviously NEVER NEVER owned a small business. If he had, we would have understood the hard work that goes into making a small business a success. Anyone working for a small business learns quickly that continued employment depends on sales, whether goods or services; unfortunately, some workers still think that said sales, and the promotion thereof, is not their problem and just showing up is adequate effort – that’s a different story.
Oxygentax – I agree, incorporating can and does save tax, but only while the profits are kept in the business. Getting the money out does subject it to personal tax (and you would surprised to find how many owners of small corporations think that 1) the money in the corporation is “theirs” and 2) they can withdraw same with no tax consequences). There are strategies for sheltering some the profits left in the corporation when the corp is sold or money withdrawn, but these aren’t available to the really small businesses; you have to have attained a certain size and a certain level of success to use them. I know trusts have been widely touted in the past as useful tools, as well as use of holding companies, etc., but I’m not certain how often the genuinely small businesses use them.
“And, as we know…” – the MSM needs to demand PROOF. Is he talking “hobby farms” or the like? Presumably he’s speaking from personal experience, but would his friends and family enjoy being “outed”?
Rat leaves ship.

Good gawd. The man’s a stuttering idiot.
And to think this moron and the angry commie are ahead in the polls.
wasn’t he self employed as a snowboard instructor. how much smaller business can you get than that. usually reserved for aussies
“Small businesses are actually just ways for wealthier Canadians to save on their taxes”
So the guy is a retard. Everyone already knows that. As stated somewhere above, as long as the moola is left in the company it is taxed at a reduced rate. A small business owner actually pays higher personal income taxes on dividend income than a shareholder in a large business to reflect that less corporate income tax has been paid. In the long run the combined personal/corporate rate for small business is no advantage whatsoever.
Ain’t that a rich, a boy-man born with a silver spoon firmly planted inside his mouth criticizing hard-working entrepreneurs who dared to try to move up the economic ladder in life. He and his policies must destroy their chances to benefit from their hard work. Pathetic!
Interesting that Trudeau made no mention of family trusts.

“Frances says… This man has obviously NEVER NEVER owned a small business.”
i’m thinkin’ justin has never lifted anything heavier than his own wallet, but look… he obviously knows all about incorporating a small business to minimise taxes…
“Trudeau himself was involved in at least three small business that were federally incorporated, one of which he used to receive income for paid speaking events he did between 2006 and 2011.”
do as i say… not as i do.

More accurately Paul Martin is taking the bullet for the Liberal Party by way of a mafia-like command from Desmerais et al. Trudeau will then fulfil his egotistical ambitions and assume his role as their puppet. Crony capitalism will regain its control over the Canadian Economic landscape, and two thirds of the country will then wonder why the world around them is crumbling.
I don’t share your characterization of Martin as a “statesman” by any description. He’s a soulless wreck, doubling down on the wayward political direction of which he was at one time front and centre. It’s always an eyeball roller for me when I hear people talk about Martin’s heroics in “balancing the budget,” years ago. Like it had nothing to do with declining world interest rates, pressure from the Alliance Party gaining favour for their fiscal posture, then ripping the rug out from underneath many provincial governments’ abilities to finance medical care. Another silver spoon jerk. But hey….just about anyone can appear more grand than what they truly deserve, when standing beside a dingbat like Justin.
From the interview;
” For example, months after I became leader, I started proactive disclosure, so every MP within my party, and the Senators at the time as well, because they were still under my control, started posting their expenses online, ”
He announced that on June 5th 2013,
On June 12th 2014,
” Liberals find posting MP expenses an onerous task ”
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/liberals-find-posting-mp-expenses-an-onerous-task-1.2673341
It doesn’t make a difference .
Except for this site and a few others, no one will ever question the words of ” JT the boy who may be king.”
Certainly not the CBC.
And didn’t many of them just not post them at all?
The power of suggestion. No need to mention how it all turned out.
Just like his assured “transparency” in the Liberal candidate selections.
Honest and open. That’s all ya gotta say. Nobody’ll catch on.
Morons of Canada please wake up!!!
Maybe they’ll “eliminate the GST”………again.
…Martin is an accomplished former finance minister and successful businessman as well.
Mr Dithers might be a successful businessman, but any half assed businessman should do well if given the business.
So far as being an accomplished finance minister, he simply downloaded his responsibilities onto the provinces and stole from pension funds.
There is an old saying which is you can polish a Turdeau all you want but in the end it’s still a Turdeau, or something like that.
Is there a way to fine Justin Trudeau for every stupid thing he says?
Maybe then he will understand the value of money.
The saying goes: You can’t Polish a Turdeau, but a Liberal can French one.
They should allow Poor Justin 2 or even 3 times the Tv time as other Candidates. That way his opponents would not need to waste time or money campaigning against Him. He does the job better Himself.
Joking aside , He will take a large number of seats in the Maritimes and Ont. about 25% in Man. Sask. Maybe one in ALB.(EDMon)
and 3 in BC. ) maybe 2 in Que and 2 or 3, in YUkon & NWT. But in addition He will sweep the Muslim Bloc vote across the Country. That is enough to put Him In. The savior could be the Green Party. A lot of idiots who don’t follow politics will park their “CHANGE” vote with them. The Hate Harper Hyperbole and Liberal Concocted scandals has done in the Cons.
