Knowing the dark heart of jihadism, it wouldn’t be beyond belief that this was the work of Islamic radicals, but I too am wondering whether it might be a smear prank; albeit well deserved and certainly not inconsistent with its supposed source. If it is found to be a prank, or a deliberate act to stir up fear and suspicion, you can be assured that the anti-hate zombies will come down hard on whomever is responsible. Otherwise, IMHO the translation “or else” will be vague enough, that if this is a jihadi threat, to avoid prosecution.

    In my view, the giveaway here that Islamists might well be behind it all is not so much the Islamic State symbology but that small round Muslim Brotherhood badge (the Quran and crossed swords).

    Her argument( IMHO) was that the ME/NA is a tribal culture and democracy would not be smooth, not at all.
    She was spot on about the ‘Arab Spring’ and backed her opinion up with reasonable argument.
    She never put Islam forth as a desirable culture, quite the opposite. She may have missed how rapidly the region would deteriorate, but many did.
    If she was a ‘sycophant’, then so am I.
    I’m certain that I’m not.

  27. I have no idea who is behind this outrage. I’d like to know, and I hope the authorities get to the bottom of it very quickly.
    A secondary level of interest concerns the treatment by this particular “news” organization of the “official” Muslim position in all this (there is always an “official” local Muslim position in any kind of jihadi “incident”). Mark Steyn was maybe the first to identify the pattern, particularly as it concerns domestic events.
    It goes something like:
    a) violence, or threat thereof, followed by
    b) as the very first word in response to the event, implications and/or assertions from the local Muslim community, the media and/or politicians that the Muslim community is being ‘victimized’.
    This certainly fits the pattern, and I’ve pretty much had my fill of it. How about something like, “The local Muslim community condemns in the strongest possible terms this outrage, which is not consistent with Canadian values, and we will co-operate fully with authorities in their efforts to eliminate the behaviour involved.”

    We’re on the same side on many issues, the problem here is that this issue is FUNDAMENTAL to our future security and prosperity in the west.
    My point all along is that if I and others could clearly see the outcome of the Arab Spring, then most certainly the people perpetrating the Arab Spring could foresee it as well. i.e The Obamba administration, the EU, and the UN.
    The outcome as predicted, was removing ME/NA benevolent dictators and creating a vacuum to be filled with Islamic fundamentalism and subsequently millions of unskilled Third World refugee’s flooding the west.
    This is what has happened can you finally agree?
    The mystery to me, is how so called “Conservatives” trusted that Obamba had the best interests of the west in mind. Forget only the left plenty of faux conservatives picked up the Arab Spring banner as well.
    So now the magical solution by Obamba, the EU, the UN the Liberal Left, and all the faux conservatives, is to swing our gates wide open to all of these people who’s homelands have been flattened by way of western foreign policy. NOT the smartest of idea’s, no?
    Indeed Russia & Iran are now both in a much better position in the ME as I predicted in 2011, and are actually volunteering to clean up this ISIS mess. It’s in their best interest because ISIS is nothing more than a proxy army the US refuses to deal with as they further try to destabilize Syria.
    We should let them, as they are obviously smarter than Obamba and less violent towards the west than Obamba and the EU is. Along with finally saving some money to beat down those deficits instead of paying for refugees and the bombs to make more refugees with.

  33. I urge you to read Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s latest book, Heretic, it is the most comprehensive outlay of islam I have read so far. She breaks down islam into 3 groups, Medina muslims, Mecca muslims and Moderating muslims of which she is trying to be to move islam into the 21st century. Medina is political islam and embraces the violence of muhammed. This theocracy is the most fiendish, evil, savage and violent thing any of us have ever seen.
    Compare our English Common Law to shariah law for one, our laws prohibit something yet allow the unnamed items to be done, islam names the prohibited act and all other unnamed acts are equally prohibited. In Iran a judge may have a “gut feeling” you are guilty so you are. The vicious acts of stoning, beheading and amputation all well documented but it is the glorification of death and the longing for it that Ali notes have stopped islam from doing anything like science, art, music, medicine as what is the point as this life is nothing but waiting for allah to take you into heaven. This leads to suicide bombing and the mother of the bomber praising allah for taking her child home or becoming a martyr for dying while killing us.
    I honestly can not find anything in this theocracy that would benefit us at all and our leadership is insane for allowing islam and muslims to come to Canada in its increasing numbers

  36. The biggest problem with higher education beyond a given point is the sacrifice of logic and common sense. ET did suffer from that affliction. The higher the education the more rarefied the air they breathe. We have seen it often in our justice system and is notably present in the human rights boards.
