  1. Not a bad song!! I doubt however that Justin will ever be PM. I also believe that, as Conservatives, we need to work hard to make sure that Stephen Harper stays on top. And it is hard given the fact that Media Party is shoveling it out faster than the sheeple can eat it!
    As for Justin, Ezra throttled him back a few notches!! Please pass this on!

    The Steven and Chris show.
    It has been canceled because one of those two gay celebrities was ( it seems ) murdered…
    probably by the other gay guy; they were married, had met in bar while arguing about feminism – no jokes.
    Of course CBC is going out of its way to avoid providing details about this embarassing ” diversity is our greatest strenght” story, the second this year ( the first was that Hindu guy abusing/raping women)
    If a conservative male had been found dead in suspicious circomstances, this would be front page news for weeks or months, but a gay guy, an employee of the CBC? nothing to see, move along…

    ” ‘There are two official languages in this country, and one of those languages is not more equal than the other,’ he said. As prime minister, I’m going to make sure that the reality and equality of our official languages is understood, and I have to start sending a clear signal now.”
    While Harper can speak French, Mulcair and Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau are fluently bilingual, speaking both languages with native proficiency. Mulcair’s final condition for further debates — he said the parties have received about 25 proposals to date — was that the organizers be non-partisan.”
    ‘That should go without saying,’ he said, ‘But sometimes what goes without saying goes even better when you say it. As a result, whether there will be four or six debates on a wide range of topics, he said, will depend on whether his conditions can be met.”
    What goes without saying again? What’s he being clear about again? Harper should insist Mulcair not renege on his previous agreements. Straw man alert: Harper’s not in the consortium debate – which he never agreed to in the first place.
    Threatening to take his ball home if he can’t speak french at the debates at this stage will not play well anywhere, particularly in the West. This is a tactical error on his part that makes him look untrustworthy & weak. I honestly thought he had more political smarts than that.

  16. Paralysis by analysis. I guess Mulcair’s touted “40,000 jobs” aren’t so important after all.

    ‘You can’t get to yes, you can’t approve any of these projects right now because under Stephen Harper there’s no clear, credible, thorough environmental assessment,’ he said.”
    Was that him being “clear” again? Besides, there’s no way we can kill the project this way. More importantly how does this crush capitalism so we can become a Kyoto compliant Maurice Strong vassal state?
    The PM rebuts: “Harper, speaking at Thursday’s debate, attacked Mulcair’s energy policy. ‘That’s the record of the NDP: they’re always for projects until they actually face one and then they’re against it,’ he said.”
    Exactly, the progressives are once again trapped in the emotion of their ideology. Undecided voters should ask themselves what the chances of this EXISTING PIPELINE ever moving AB crude to Eastern refineries. I think I know – hint: it’s a really easy number to remember.

    Linda McQuaig says oilsands ‘may have to be left in the ground’
    Linda McQuaig, a star New Democratic Party candidate, says Alberta’s oilsands may need to remain undeveloped in order for Canada to meet its climate change targets. “A lot of the oilsands oil may have to stay in the ground if we’re going to meet our climate change targets,” McQuaig said.
    “We’ll know that better once we properly put in place a climate change accountability system of some kind,” she told host Rosemary Barton. “And… once we have a proper review process for our environmental projects like pipelines.”
    Calgary Conservative candidate Michelle Rempel, appearing on the panel with McQuaig, quickly responded.
    “For the hundreds of thousands of people whose jobs are dependent on Canada’s energy sector, listen to what you just heard. Instead of standing up for the energy sector or Canada’s economy, you’re hearing ‘I want to tax this, I want this oil to be left in the ground.'”
    McQuaig later qualified her comments. “I didn’t say I want this oil left in the ground. I said we have to have environmental standards.” McQuaig suggested that former Alberta Premier Peter Lougheed has himself called for a moratorium on the oilsands.
    In fact, in 2011 Lougheed voiced his opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline on economic grounds.
    “I would prefer … we process the bitumen from the oilsands in Alberta and that would create a lot of jobs and job activity,” he told Anna Maria Tremonti of CBC Radio’s The Current .
    “That would be a better thing to do than merely send the raw bitumen down the pipeline and they refine it in Texas that means thousands of new jobs in Texas.”
    Ouch, that’s likely to leave a mark. “Star” candidate eh? Coupled with Mulcair’s debate performance, the NDP wheels seem to be coming off early.
