  1. Two billionaires on the Six Nations Reserve.
Warehouses with entire floors packed with skids of money.
    Plus a huge arsenal.
    It’s going to be bloody.

  2. Elementary my dear Watson. Analogy. Compare it to a basic household, the kind most of us grew up in. Either our parents were in charge or the children were. Our parents were and as we got older we learned that disrespect had consequences. Different today as there are no consequences for disrespect and no worry about being turfed out of the house even when flashing the middle finger in the face of authority. The children are in charge and parental guidance is ignored. The end result was inevitable.

  3. AS long as the FIRST NATIONS’ GRAND CHIEFS continue the path of “TAKERS” like BELLEGARDE and not like OSOYOOS BC
chief CLARENCE LOUIE…… “BUILDER” ,,,,,, nothing will EVER change insofar as Native bands and the CANADIAN FEDS are concerned.
    TRUST ME…..
    I AM ….
    Joe Molnar
    Woodstock, Ontario.

  4. “Its economy is driven by cigarette and alcohol sales, and gambling operations…”
Fueled by white people too stupid to realize that their dollars support these thugs.

  5. Pathetic – and of course a criminal enterprise of the 6% wrapped up in victimhood pants threatening war for entitlement.
I think you’d find similar on the Caledonia and Ipperwash reserves – except here a violent form of Marxist radicalization has been injected by public sector union schills. Certainly the who self imposed apartheid reserve system could never survive a fed audit – no more than the Mob capital projects operations in Montreal could.

  6. Gotta love how the Indian Chiefs rally their subjects all decked out in historical garb to play political parties at election time…getting them to vote isn’t their aim, it’s all about grabbing headlines as the various party leaders try to score points. Nothing ever changes, never will as long as politicians remain gutless wimps, pandering to their demands we will pay, garner no respect and be blamed for all their ills.

  7. And the Indian industry chugs along. The more dysfunctional and dependent they are, the more growth in the industry. Federal grants per capita to Indian reserves is about what the rest of the population earns per capita. Why don’t they buy them out at a million apiece? Because almost all the ones they bought out in the past reapplied for status and got it. It’s a problem that can’t be solved because nobody wants to take steps to resolve it.

  8. At the risk of sounding racist, it kind of reminds one of a few African countries. Somalia, Liberia et al. Once the colonialists leave things seem to fall apart. Or perhaps revert back to their original condition.

  9. “Indian Chiefs rally their subjects all decked out in historical garb”
But for most of them it isn’t historical garb. They all want to play TV Indians. They Plains Indian culture has the neatest garb. I mean if your going to look like a bush Indian, you might as well look like a White man.

  10. Rip up the Indian Act.
Tell them the Money stops in 5 years. PERIOD
Give them the land they reside on – the homes they currently live in.
    Give them their passports.
Delete each and every Land claim – we ain’t moving boys n girls.
Tell them they are now 100% Canadian Citizens with all the rights and obligations as ANY OTHER Citizen in this country.
Don’t like it.? – Use your G’damned PassPort – I hear Iran is taking immigrants
Beyond fed up with this shit.

  11. Ripping up the Indian Act or stopping the flow of our money would take guts, something that’s lacking in most political leaders, the Indians will continue on the gravy train.
Where else can you get such a deal? Building homes for them in remote, god forsaken places only reached by aircraft, flying them out for medical treatment…they no longer use the medicine man, flying in supplies, to stock their cupboards, they do not live off the land beyond hunting and fishing when they damned well please, no hunting seasons for them. It’s a total disgrace in the year of our Lord, 2015.

  12. “Fueled by white people too stupid to realize that their dollars support these thugs.”
    Not stupid at all.
Tobacco, alcohol and gambling are already tightly controlled by the provincial governments who use their monopoly to squeeze considerable revenue out of Joe Ordinary every time he buys a lottery ticket, a six-pack or a carton of cigarettes.
Might as well get a discount somewhere!
And anyway, our tax dollars will still flow into native reservations regardless.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
not if you live on the rez… a freebooting entrepreneurial zone that’d make a somali pirate blush.
as orwell once famously said, “some animals are more equal than others.”

  14. I agree completely.
Where does the government get all the moolah it gives to the First Welfare Recipients?
    Joe Taxpayer, that’s where.
Joe might as well dodge taxes(booze and cigs are double taxed) and cut out the government middle man by purchasing his cigs and booze from the black market source that will get those taxes anyway.

  15. Who has paid for the murder of Marcel Lemay?
    No one.
This is just one reason why I feel absolutely no sympathy for these thugs.
The best way to fix this debacle is cut these people off. Give them the deeds to their ramshackle houses and tell them to take out insurance. Make them pay taxes for a change.

  16. “Might as well get a discount somewhere!”
I prefer to give my money to honest merchants who pay taxes and contribute, instead of bums who are already feeding off the system.
