Pretend vampires, I mean:
Dr Williams, [director of social work at Idaho State University,] explained that no one should be bothered by a person wanting to drink another person’s blood because “it is generally expected within the community that vampires should act ethically and responsibly in feeding practices,” and it’s not their blood-drinking that’s the real problem here — it’s the fact that they have to worry that other people will judge them for their blood-drinking.

Vampires are People Too!
Some people have read and thought too much about Anne Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton and Twilight.
“the scolds of social justice sprinkle more sand into their underpants”
I’m stealing this.
Here’s how you know something is utter drivel:
“Sociology researchers are now insisting…”
There’s been nothing useful come out of Sociology as a so-called academic discipline in at least 30 years. It’s not merely that these researchers on people who live in halloween costumes year round is a waste of time. The entire discipline of sociology is a waste of time.
just another case of, I can’t get there from here. how stupid can one be in this world?
As long as they are not wearing short pants with a confederate flag we should leave them alone.
Pretend vampires, pretend men, pretend woman, just variations on mental illness that used to be treated. It’s all fun and games until they find a corpse drained to the last drop by someone who is obviously mentally unstable already, and just wants to take to the next level
some sections of society ,steal for their living..
will that be Officially approved by sociologists..??
“it’s not their blood-drinking that’s the real problem here”
HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and viral hemorrhagic fevers….just to name a few serious problems with this sort of behaviour.
Nothing ethical about it at all.
Would I judge these two-legged mosquitos, these cannibals? Yeah.
Oz – I’m stealing that one. “mosquito” is a much better descriptive term than vampires.
Vampires, Mosquitos, socialists , Greeks , all living off someone’s else’s blood
Dr. Williams, I identify as the Dean of Idaho State University.
You are fired.
The gap between Academia and reality grows wider by the minute. Big Ed needs to lose their funding before they ruin another generation.

You win the Internet, sir. You can use it to pay for my new monitor.
Out of respect for the many observant Christians on this blog I’m refraining from swearing like a sailor right now. Like Phantom, I’ve been a SFF/gamer geek since way back when, and the older I get the harder I find it to even admit I’m part of that hobby. First it was “Fans are Slans”, then it was goths, wiccans, polyamory, Otherkin (no, seriously, look that up), Vampire LARPs, cosplay, and now this. I find I’ve turned into all the people who tormented me in high school: I just want to punch these people in the face and tell them to get a @#$%^ing life.
HAH! Sounds like one of the enviro-whacko philosophy profs at the U of Lethbridge. ☺
I don’t believe that cannibalism is defined by what parts of a human being one consumes; drinking human blood would come under the legal definition and therefore vampires are cannibals. Yes, we can be judgemental.
Another of these university eggheads with their mind in stupidland
