US civil war 150 years
Waterloo 200 years (june 18)
English civil war 360 years. —where most of ours and the US laws and structures were invented.
stuff that seemed like ancient history now looks closer in a glass darkly.
And the idiots at CTV were all giddy about reporting the fall of Saigon. (Ho Chi Min City as the leftist newstards call it now)

I watched a really good documentary on Detroit Public Television, and that surprised me as it is a rather left leaning channel.
However, they did show many of the heroes who risked their lives to pilot helicopters and other craft to take people to safety.
Strategically speaking, the evacuation was chaos. However the men and women who participated showed great initiative in making the best of a bad situation. We (Canada) have Dunkirk that haunts us, they (USA) have the fall of Saigon.
