  1. The tree huggers/granola munchers are so cuaght up in paul ehrliches Population Bomb lie they think that incrd supply will incease the population that probibly why their using some endangred critter to halt food production

  2. A global perspective. Impressive, well presented – and science based. In short: about to be hated by liberal self-centred elite, environmentalists in western nations.

  3. Exactly. The Luddite anti-human crowd have a death wish for the human race.
Thanks Kate for finding this and I have sent this to all my email contacts.

  4. The nazis were very very organic hitler was not only a vegan but enviroentalists as well fitting right in with the tree huggers back to nature freaks

  5. All this being said, Monsanto and the like still deserve scrutiny for their constant legal shenanigans, such as harassing farmers for ‘stealing’ their crops when the wind blows seed across property lines.
Genetically engineering crops to be sterile so that people are dependent on buying new seed every year… The extinction of older, hardy strains in favour of high-output (but fragile) strains… The patenting of ‘life’…
There’s plenty of fertile ground (ha ha) for debate on the subject of genetic engineering, farming and law, but the Frankenfood paranoia overshadows everything. It’s very much like how the Climate Change scam eclipses real environment and pollution issues.

  6. Robert Saik’s agri-science is well presented.
    Agri-business practices are another question.
For example the Crop Development Centre produces
new seed varieties without unreasonably high royalties
that erode the profitability for the farmer.

  7. I wonder if this is related:
–To recap: the AIIB is one of several new financial institutions that China has tried to midwife over the past year or so that many have viewed as direct competitors to the U.S.-created international financial institutions like the IMF, World Bank, and Asian Development Bank (ADB). The United States has articulated two concerns about the AIIB: that it was an organization designed to marginalize the ADB, and that in doing so, China would be applying rules and standards in project lending that would be far less friendly to the environment than the U.S.-led institutions.–

“far less friendly to the environment” probably means some loans will go to practical projects instead of the expensive and inefficient “green” stuff pushed by Progressives. I believe the IMF has been hidebound by some of the PC/green ideology in its loan policies, and this program could be much more practical for poor countries. It’s also another major failure for Baraq Obama.

  8. This could have been titled “Let them eat LESS cake”… OR, How your donations to Green Peace help kill 3M people per year.

  9. Great comment Paul.
And thanx Kate, for posting this most excellent video..URL copied and pasted on quite a few places..

  10. This is very heartening; I’ve seen several articles, some in mainstream media, that are . . . reasonable. “The anti-science movement is the biggest threat to food security today”–yes, yes, excellent! On a related note, I hope you all celebrated “Power Hour” last week.
