  1. If so, this is a war on behalf of his commie friends and the Congress should not fund any of his bills.

  2. I do believe the Congress is finally going to have to put up or shut up. Apparently Boener is not doing well in the voting, so I think putting up is in America’s future.
Just defund everything, sit back and watch it burn. Awesome.

  3. The GOP should put a bill approving Keystone XL on his desk right away. Let Obama explain his veto to the voters who would be hired to build it. Let him babble about global warming while people are freezing and unemployed.

  4. Obama has very successfully alienated all the US~s allies and toadied up to its foes.

  5. That light at the end of the tunnel is not a train it is the end of the reign of Obama. Once the turkey (Obama) is gone the pipeline will be built.

  6. Also, is he constantly increasing his purview now nothing can happen in the US without his say-so.

  7. Utterly no surprise that TOTUS will veto. Thus far, he’s been able to hide behind Harry Reid’s refusal to allow it to come to the floor of the Senate. It will be amusing to see what waffling excuse he makes now that he actually will have to decide on the issue.
Joe, not necessarily. It could be the oncoming train called Billary. What sorts of things is she going to have to promise Washington’s green slime lobby for their support in 2016?

  8. I hope, and believe it’s possible that the current hands up and I can’t breathe protests will carry on into 2016, and negatively affect the democrat candidate whoever it is. If they don’t disown the movement they will lose a lot of centrist white voters. If they do disown it, their base will stay home, and a repeat of 2014 will happen.

  9. Sorry to disagree with you you cgh. Hillary couldn’t beat Obama in 2008. Since then she screwed up Sec of State with Benghazi etc. She is a spent force that just doesn’t realize how spent. In her gin induced hallucinations she likely thinks herself as being presidential material but her hallucinations and reality are two very different things.

  10. Obama DID bow to Saudi King Abdullah (April 1, 2009 in London.)
Canada is giving the Saudis a run for their oil money. Obama showed contempt for Canada by calling our oil ‘dirty.’ Obama tends to cleave to Muslim despots. For all we know, Obama’s election campaigns may have been partially funded by the Saudis.

  11. “For all we know, Obama’s election campaigns may have been partially funded by the Saudis.”
That statement is particularly astute, where were you in 2007-8 when the One’s campaign was accepting tens of millions of dollars from five and ten dollar donators, thus sidestepping accountability. While you’re considering that ponder who paid his Harvard tuition.

  12. Agree,Joe,now that Bill Clinton has been drawn in to the Epstein/Prince Andrew/Allan Dershowitz sex scandal,Hillary is going to have great difficulty separating herself from her husband.
If the Republicans are as vicious as the Democrats, they should be able to turn this into the negative that kills off Hillary’s chances once and for all.

  13. Nuts – a pox on all of them.
In fact getting the bill through won’t help anyone other than the lawyers getting paid to fight this thing at every opportunity. We should face reality: with the crazies in charge, no major pipeline is going to get built – not eastward, westward, or southward.
What we need to do is build two large refineries on the Pembina escarpment in southern Manitoba – Obama et al can’t stop refined product entering the U.S.; Alberta, Sask, Montana, and the Dakotas get markets; Manitoba gets jobs; and access to barge transportation gets the product to market across the U.S. and around the world.

  14. Every Veto by Obama will be a “nail in the coffin” of Hillary, or every centralist Democrat. Republicans must pass every Bill that Harry Reed blocked in the Senate such that a very clear picture of political delineation is presented.
    No sleep walking Republicans!

  15. Don, I think this story about Bill’s conections is being set up by Billary’s Democrat foes, many dems feel she’s NOT inevitable and not left enough. That would include BO! Extremists have enjoyed the turn to the left, so much has been destroyed, yet there is so much left in America to transform! The dem primary will be much more interesting than the MSM would have you think.
    God save the USA.

  16. now that boehner is re-elected there is only the Democratic(sic) Party and the Democratic-Lite Party in Congress. Why would anyone expect a conservative agenda to get the time of day?

  17. The problem with the, “lets build more refineries” argument is that the market out there is not for refined product. The market is bitumen. Refineries already exist and they want raw product.

  18. Of course Keystone XL is direct competition for Saudi oil sheikhs; so those ‘poor’ billionaires would hate it if the little infidel American consumer got a better commuting deal.

  19. I’ve said it before and i will say it again:
Obama – a narcissist in the extreme (is there a bigger living one) cares not a whit about the fortunes of the democratic party or the unemployed who will remain unemployed or the environment.
He is vetoing this to maintain his impeccable reputation with the limosine liberal pied d’etre set on both coasts. He wants to remain their hero for years after he is no longer POTUS. Thus it is an extreme act of vanity.
    Did you expect anything less?

  20. Boehner lives. Perhaps shutting up and going along will now be the future. Oh well… I suppose we could sell all that oil to the Chicoms instead. If Obama has his way, there will be little to chose from between the Americans and Chicoms anyway.

  21. Thats what I think is going on. It’s about money and the environment is just a convenient smoke screen.

  22. Great perspective Gord Tulk, Obama sees the limousine liberals on the coasts as his meal ticket for years to come. They’ll gladly throw down the big bucks to hear the great orator! gag
