As it turns out, that viral story about an Australian woman offering to ride the train with a Muslim woman who was self-conscious about wearing her hijab after the Sydney Siege never happened.
The story is a complete fantasy, so admits Rachael Jacobs, the woman who started the whole thing.

Once you come to the realization that the thrust and purpose of modern coopted media is not to report fact but to create reality and narratives for their patrons, things like open lying in media will no longer shock you.
No informed or reasoning person will rely on MSM for their information – MSM have breached our right to untampered information needed to make informed decisions. Essentially Media silence, distortion, and false narratives are undermining democratic process for select special interests, this is the function of the media – deal with their output accordingly.

Whatever happened to freedom of speech?
Although I generally find Americans suitable company, I have noticed that they have developed traits much different from most Canadians.
For example, at a restaurant, while we enjoy our meals, perhaps 3-4 teams of Americans rotate through nearby tables. They sit down inhale their food and are gone.
Quebecois and Europeans, I have encountered in the USA, have noticed the same, and consider it bad manners. One observed that generally the food inhalers do not engage in ANY conversation. He suspected that their idea of a night out was diner and something else…that diner was mere maintainence and that the other event was the priority.
I’d be more useful to me as on my journey to work in public transportation, to have a mobile phone app that alerted me to when the word “bomb” (for example) was spoken in arabic or farsi or perhaps in somali or whatever they speak over there in their hell lands.
Perhaps like Shazam app can tell me any song title after less than 5 seconds of listening, I could click on “Bomb Alert Now”! for when a load of these entered onto a train and started shouting into their mobile devices. Those 5 seconds could save a life.

Precisely why I rely on a number of sources for news. Yes, the dailies, but moreso the various blogs. It’s vitally important (to me) to gain the various perspectives and hopefully winnow the truth.

When I was young,me and a couple of friends went to the movie theater to see a new “war” movie,called “To Hell and Back”.
It was about a real WW2 hero who won the Congressional Medal of Honor. We were all excited as hell,sat right smack dab in the middle of the front row!
And in my mind,at least,I was there on the battlefield with Audie Murphy,( probably the only CMH winner who ever portrayed himself on the screen) ‘midst the exploding artillery rounds,the flying machine gun bullets.
My friends and I loved the movie. But after reading this post,I wonder, should me and my friends not be awarded the Congressional? After all, we were THERE with Audie every step of the way!
When we played “guns” for the next six months, we were always Audie Murphy!
