  1. So, let me get this straight… If you are in charge of a Human Rights Star Chamber, you have the right to commit fraud, steal from your fellow tax payer and be entitled to your entitlements. How’s that work? Why is this thief still a “commissioner”? I am getting really tired of being a good law abiding citizen and an honest tax payer, while scumbags like this rip me off with the blessing of the smiling politicians.

  2. heh, an interesting post about David Langtry before he became a human rights commissioner.

“In Langtry’s case, he represented me in a real estate
transaction in the 1980’s. Thereafter, or about that time ,
he was being sued by multiple clients, for mis-conduct or
various stripes, involving money and his clients losses
from his conduct. Investigations were being quietly made
by that so-called guardian of public interest, the Law
    Society of MB.”

  3. Just googling random stuff about this guy. In the early 90’s while he was going through legal troubles of his own he ran as a Manitoba PC Party candidate. (I feel sorry for the voters in this election)
Results from the 1990 provincial election in Kildonan:
    Dave Chomiak (NDP) 3904
    David Langtry (PC) 3694
    Claudia Sarbit (L) 2711
    Sidney Green (P) 570

  4. 161 Conservative MP’s doing what?
Chasing the reefer madness and stopping the world’s oldest profession for men only.
    Liberal, Tory, same old story.
I hate that my former Conservative Party wants to socially engineer me just as much as the Trust Fund Kid’s party.
Shame on we Conservatives for allowing the Control Party to govern in our name.
Shame on Stephen Harper for opportunity lost.

  5. I used to fly a lot, usually at least four flights a week. always booked coach. when you fly enough the airlines upgrade you to business class regularly at no additional cost. how this bird managed to increase his costs to that level is beyond me. I would spend a week at a time in a hotel, rent cars and all my meals were eaten in restaurants. I was busy producing a profit for my company not sucking up taxpayers money, and in my most expensive trips could never even come close to 12 thousand dollars a month let alone that much in one trip.

  6. same here, on all accounts. Hell even today I could have a damn fine month long vacation on 12 big ones:-))) Tho I used to keep it pared down to 3 flight out of YYZ in any given week:-))

  7. What a blood sucker! Fire them all, shut down ALL so-called Human Rights commissions. This is obscene, he should be hauled before the court of the land and made pay back. Who the hell is minding the store anyway?

  8. I would hazard a guess that he was also claiming these (utility) expenses for income tax purposes. If he knowingly did this, he is a tax cheat and should be investigated.

  9. According to CRA Pub T4130 (Employers Guide Taxable Benefits and Allowances), 15 – 16: “If you provide free lodging or free board and lodging, to an employee, the employee receives a taxable benefit.”…..”If you provide subsidized lodging, or subsidized board and lodging, to an employee, the employee receives a taxable benefit.” So, if our man was expensing all or part of the costs of maintaining a place in Ottawa, those reimbursements should have found their way to his T4. The general exception is if an employee “works at a special work site or a remote location”. Somehow, I don’t think Ottawa is either special or remote.

Precisely. No Firing, no reprimand, no change at all.
May as well bring on turdo la doo and hit rock bottom sooner than later. Get it over with.

  11. Hmm $760:000 could go a long way to feed a lot of kids this christmas instead this human rights phonie uses it for travel expenses Typical liberal
