  1. All righty then. Jian Ghomeshi was fired because the CBC was obligated to see what was going on in his bedroom and although he is a pretty boy, I guess his antics were not.
“I have always been interested in a variety of activities in the bedroom but I only participate in sexualpractices that are mutually agreed upon, consensual, and exciting for both partners.”
For a corporation that has never met a perversion they didn’t love, this is a bit of a shock. Heh.

  2. “Ineffective: Thousands of turbines are useless in low winds and they are turned off to prevent damage if the speeds are too high.”
“Wind farms ‘will never keep the lights on’: Study claims turbines are ‘expensive and deeply inefficient’
Wind farms produce 90% of potential power output for only 17 hours a year
Families and businesses have paid billions to subsidise building of turbines
Tories have pledged to end subsidies as Britain is set to meet EU targets”

  3. I know a lot of people didn’t like Jian Q–howevah!
The story here is how the CBC went ahead and fired him without just cause! Isn’t that going against the ”leftist” agenda that they’ve been promoting in the last few years?
I listened to a short clip about it on Radio-Canada today. Since when is an altercation with a girl friend ”just cause” to fire someone unless her Dad is your boss–and even then?
Should be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks.

But even if his lawyers file the lawsuit, its chances of success are slim to none, according to employment and labour lawyer Howard Levitt, who wrote in the National Post Monday that even if the allegations against Ghomeshi are completely false, the CBC was still within its rights to to dump the man whose name would hurt the public broadcaster’s reputation.
“The courts in Canada, and even arbitrators, have become increasingly sensitive to the impact of personal employee misconduct on employers’ brands, and it is irrelevant if it occurs outside of the workplace,” said Levitt.

  5. This is what the news reader read at 11 o’clock news this morning:

The track should be set at October 27, 11am.
At @3 minute mark, the guy says that the soldier at the memorial was “killed by a homeless man with a gun”.
Totally disregarded any reference to islamists or anything else whatsoever.
The station is going down hill fast since they fired Rutheford.
They replaced him with one moron and a woman. Apparently the woman could not stand the moron so she went off to do something else.
Now they have two morons. It hurts the head to listen to them.
In talk about the kiling of the soldier they bend over backward as to park their heads up their asses (however impossible that is) to steer away from common sense defending islam twisting and turning.
The islamist knew exactly what he was going to do. His aim was to kill the soldier and kill more.
Hope Calgarians would demand a new talk radio station. Let this one die on its own.

  6. Clive: Re Q’s ” misconduct.”
What ”misconduct??” No such evidence exist as of 11:14 Pm, Oct. 27-14

  7. “… the CBC was still within its rights to to dump the man whose name would hurt the public broadcaster’s reputation.”
Does anyone believe that Jian hurt CBC’s reputation? That would have been Sook-Yin Lee.

  8. “… the CBC was still within its rights to to dump the man whose name would hurt the public broadcaster’s reputation.”
How in the he ll can you hurt the reputation of a parasite? They can’t get any lower.

  9. Lev –
I concur with your assessment of QR’s new talk format. Kingcade, Taylor and Kumquat are tedious and bland, Breakenridge isn’t too bad. He likely won’t tolerate the new model much longer.
Methinks Corus management has been hijacked by a gang of metrosexual progressives.
