Specific enough for you?

The RCMP has identified persuasive evidence that Michael Zehaf-Bibeau’s attack was driven by ideological and political motives. Zehaf-Bibeau had prepared a video recording of himself just prior to conducting this attack. The RCMP is conducting a detailed analysis of the video for evidence and intelligence. You must understand that we cannot release this video at this time and I would ask for your patience in this regard.”
But I’m sure there will still be those who claim it was his onerous life because of PM Harper.

  1. Oh oh, he worked for a while in the Alberta Oilfields.
Look out Albertans your all potential terrorists now.
It also looks like he buried his guns on his Aunts property. He either buried them during the Liberal long gun registry or maybe after Alison Redfords illegal gun grab in Hight River?
Wait for JT to come out and put the Ottawa shootings on Alberta Tar Sands workers next.

  2. I bet you this failure of a jihadist worked in the oilsands. Just like the rest of his bearded goat blowing buddies. Who are literally taking over the workforce up in that region by week. I predict in about ten years the wood buffalo region will transformed into a municipality ruled by goat blowers.
I’m currently looking for work in the Edmonton region.

  3. I hope more of the goat blowers head to Ft. Mac and the other oilsands parts. Less of them wandering around Calgary and stopping traffic on Barlow and 37th all effing day Friday the better.

  4. Yea right …blaming Harper is the ‘thing to do’…after all he hid in a closet right? The comments on some media sites are disgusting.
What the media is not saying but is pretty obvious…Mr. Vickers was acting on his principles and he knew his responsibility…protect the Prime Minister.
That creep ran from the his first murder at the War Memorial with every intention of getting the PM…he ran right past so many people without firing his gun…he had one plan.
    Thank God for Mr. Vickers.

  5. Well obviously he made the tape because he was mentally I’ll.
Nothing to do with him wanting to be a Jihadi and murder the enemies of Allah.
    CBC reports.

  6. “I’m currently looking for work in the Edmonton region.”
Every oilfield service company in Alberta is currently looking for able bodied people. Shouldn’t be hard to find work if your willing to work.

  7. I think we should send all potential jihadis up North – then when they don’t eat from sunrise to sunset during Ramadan it will be a six month fast; end of problem.

  8. Mark Steyn will be amazed to hear:
“It’s very difficult to know exactly what an individual is planning to do before a crime is committed,” Superintendent Fontaine said. “We cannot arrest someone for thinking radical thoughts; it is not a crime in Canada.”

  9. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this video is not a cute cat video for youtube.

  10. Actually the long gun registry WAS brought up today. An RCMP spokesman said it was difficult to identify the origins of the lever action rifle because the long gun registry was no longer available.
Strike a little fear into the hearts of Canadians and draconian measures are sooooo much easier to enact.

  11. It’s probably George Bush’s fault or the fault of global warming.
But seriously, it was apparent from the beginning. ANY terrorist should evoke such anger that people cannot stand it. As it is now, no one is angry enough.
    Expect this story to disappear.

  12. “You must understand that we cannot release this video at this time”
No, I don’t understand. Explain it to me.

  13. Son, this isn’t my first rodeo working in the oilfields especially here in Alberta (it’s were I was born and raised). However with each passing day I’m noticing more and more muzzies starting to show up to these oilfield jobs. I’m looking for work in Edmonton because I want to keep my head on my shoulders and it’s my hometown as well.

  14. Yeah well, despite an Act of Parliament, if you really think the registry was erased…perhaps you are interested in a bridge.
The High River outrage provides empirical evidence that all the result was, was that the data was frozen in time and hasn’t been updated.
Of course the RCMP has to make this statement….ya don’t think they would admit knowing the origin of the firearm in question….even if it is on CPIC…..These people won’t ever abandon such data and will avoid admitting that.
One thing that brings a smile is the prospect that due to swaps many of us have made is that a lotta firearms have changed hands and the registry is outa date.

  15. Hear hear, Oz.
They must need time to strip out some brutally honest part of it, i.e. the expected Islamic praises to Allah. Can’t have ugly truths about Islam spreading amongst Canadians, that would undermine our multiculturalism & tolerance after all.
Something about last week has really driven home for me just how STUPID western civilization has become w.r.t. Islam. We’ve lived such a peaceful, sheltered life here in N.A. for so long that we just think that’s how it will always be, and that anyone who comes here must naturally want the same thing, must want to live like us because who wouldn’t? At some point, surely, we’ve got to wake the heck up and see that that just isn’t so.

  16. The origins of the rifle are irrelevant. It’s one of the most common hunting rifles in North America. Equally good chance it was never registered, came out of a reserve, was stolen or a straw purchase. The issue is not about the gun, its about the perp who used it. If the gun was originally sold or transferred in Ontario, the CFO will have a record of it. What’s that you say? Registry died? Ont CFO has a record of all TANs issued because they had to approve them. You can bet there is a parallel registry of sorts at the province.
Very likely an unregistered gun that somebody got rid of for the cash. How many hunting rifles were actually registered…

  17. More likely the reason is that there are leads in it they want to follow up on before they release it and drive some people further underground…

  18. OK, Oz, I will explain. This creep wanted the world to see what he had to say. If nobody ever sees his video then his death was for naught, and his entire life was wasted. I think I’d prefer that the creep’s life was wasted, rather than letting him get his ideas out there posthumously.

  19. Terry, there’s lots of work available in Nisku in the oilfield services. Wanna repair downhole tools? You’d be able to go home every night…

  20. The enemedia are NOT on our team, and haven’t been for many decades.
In my mind the lives of Vincent and Cirillo are on Peter Mansbridge’s head.
And yes, I would repeat that to his smug progressive face.

  21. It went by so fast on my car radio that I’m not absolutely certain:
The RCMP has apologized for releasing wrong info on the jihadi.
They had said that he was seeking a visa to go to Syria.
    This was evidently wrong.
He was attempting to get a visa to go to Saudi Arabia to …. study the Koran
    Oh well then …

  22. Terry G >
“Son, this isn’t my first rodeo working in the oilfields especially here in Alberta (it’s were I was born and raised)”
Yea, don’t know how you interpreted my reply, it was meant to be helpful. You didn’t state your age or occupation previously, only stating that your looking for work in Alberta.
If so then you should have no problem helping yourself find work.

  23. “If nobody ever sees his video then his death was for naught, and his entire life was wasted”
    Great point.

  24. They should release the video, but first give him crazy eyes, and a drool, and add a laugh track. Mock him in death.

  25. [Quote]: The RCMP has identified persuasive evidence that Michael Zehaf-Bibeau’s attacks in Ottawa were driven by ideological and political motives. [Unquote]
Weasel wording from a bureaucrat, as usual. Being of pedantic bent my comment follows:
“Persuasive” has a subjective connotation – a better and more convincing adjective would have been “compelling” which would leave little room for doubt. Unless, of course their “evidence” is conveniently (politically) coloured and thus subject to revision.

  26. Yes, release the video, but after our war dead are laid to rest. That would be the decent thing to do.l
