  1. The Canadian passport is easier to get and easier to travel under.
It is not so much that the U.S. is exporting terrorists as it is that Canada is drawing them like flies.

  2. Fascinating. Does anyone recall Ahmed Ressam and a certain Janet Napolitano volleying out loads of nonsense about how Canada posed a security threat to the US? So if this is the number supposedly of people with active criminal records not under US observation and being deterred from leaving the country, how many would-be terrorists without criminal records have our fearless friends to the south let slip through their fingers? Is it reasonable to ask how much of a security threat does the US and its DHS pose to Canada?

  3. Our, Canadian, border security may be a joke with us letting in so many high potential terrorists but the United States border security will make you cry in shame! I wonder if I can get in as an illegal alien and get all those benefits too?

  4. Just as a point of interest I had several opportunities to enter Canada from the U.S. on business. The border security was most impressive. Maybe that’s because I have fair skin, blue eyes, and blond hair. And a suit.

  5. Thanx for that link Knight…I was previously unaware of Tares Fatah’s comment urging all radicalized jihadists to leave for Syria..
A position ALL Canadians should support. The ASS backwards set up we have now must be changed. You wanna fight overseas..? No problem..in exchange for your passport, we’ll pay the way.

  6. And my husband still after 30 years cannot get across the US border because of DUI’s that happened in his early twenties. It does not appear to pay to be honest.

  7. I was wondering IF it would make more sense to let the radicals go fight alongside ISIS, BUT when they want to come back home to Canada. DENY THEM ENTRY and return them to their ISIS friends. END OF STORY??

  8. The “No Racial Profiling” policies of both the US and Canadian border services have effectively prevented officers from doing the kind of checks they should be doing at our points of entry.
Woe to any officer who is the subject of a complaint of racial profiling. Even if the eventual outcome would be exoneration, the “guilty until proven innocent” investigation is a wearing-down process that sends a clear message that adherence to political correctness trumps any concerns about national security.

I travel allot, and can testify with certainty that if the Canadian Airport Security is made up of non-white screeners as it most often is, there will be a disproportionate amount of white middle class travellers selected for pat-downs and additional screening.
    Every time!

  10. Probably not. We could then be reasonably accused of exporting terrorism. They’re our citizens; it’s up to us to deal with them and not pass the buck to someone else.

  11. Ah yes. Proving my point: “adherence to political correctness trumps any concerns about national security.”
You see, it is politically correct to select a disproportionate number of the majority to counter any claims of racial profiling.

“..it is politically correct to select a disproportionate number of the majority to counter any claims of racial profiling”
Which is a good theory and probably partially correct, but as my comment stated the majority of “white people” being selected for additional screening is mostly conducted by “non-white people”.
The odd time that there are a majority of “white” airport security screeners the racial proportion of searches appears to be more balanced.
Remembering of course that not all Canadian airports have a white majority of travellers at all times.

  13. Just as long as there is a way to keep Jian “Donkey Punch” Ghomeshi out of North America on charges of abuse, we should be okay.

  14. Well, if you’re suggesting that non-whites are capable of racial profiling at points of entry, that is certainly a border-line (pun intended) racist statement.
I don’t travel enough to be able to say I’ve experienced this. However, if I concurred, and based the agreement on my conclusion that Knight 99 is not a bull-shitter (formed over years of scrutinizing SDA posts)would this now make me a racist too??
Not that I’m the least bit worried, but I would like a peek into the 1 plus 2 equals 17 processes of the typical lefty mind.
    Iberia? NDpiste???

  15. Cheers.
I was an Air Canada Super Elite member for ten years running (+100K/ year)usually around 250K, an elite gold member longer than that. Today I fly mostly regionally as an Altitude Elite 35K member, meaning lots of short haul flights.
