  1. Many of the so called radical” Muslims would leave Canada to fight for ISIS, but, it is obvious that our government wants them here, not there.
Our government is more concerned for the safety of the so-called “Free Syrian Army”, or the Iraqi army than it is for Canadian citizens.

  2. One person with a carry concealed weapon permit could have dropped that f***er at the Memorial and saved a life, or on Wellington, or as he approached Parliament. We had to wait till he got into the Centre Block before the bad guy with the gun was stopped by one of the few specially-sanctioned good guys with a gun.

  3. Yep.
And Halifax cops already used this as a pretext to arrest a law-abiding citizen carrying a rifle.

  4. Huh? What do you propose the Prime Minister should have done? Stood in the hallway and confronted him? Run to his car and grab a hockeystick from the trunk to blungeon the terrorist with?
    What exactly?
Besides, of course, doing exactly what his security detail told him to do…

  5. I’m having a problem wrapping my head around this – Canadian authorities allegedly have some 90 Islamic radicals on their watch list. Sadly two Canadian soldiers have recently been murdered by fanatics who were citizens and whose passports had been revoked.
Metaphorically speaking no sane person would ever trap and then attempt to control a known venomous serpent inside their own home, thereby foolishly exposing their family members to potential danger.
A more pragmatic approach would be to drive these pests out by whatever means possible. Then put them on a no-fly list and revoke any and all rights of return.

  6. You are absolutely right. However, you are fighting the politically deranged useful idiots. They have nothing but baseless criticism of any official with which they disagree. These sunshine patriots and cowards, in their own minds and in their deranged dreams, would valiantly charge the muzzle of the muzzie. They would save the day for everyone in their own minds. How many of these commenters are the descendents of the American draft dodgers that you took in? This is the deranged left. This is how they treated Bristol Pal;in at hir birthday disturbance. Since these pukes have no shame, along with the MSM, you can see how they work.

  7. So now we know of the origins of the “car-jacking” rumors and the idea that there were several people involved – the running in all directions of people escaping the Memorial shooting and from the guy with the gun.

  8. Funny, but the RCMP prefers to keep them here, running loose.
We all heard the RCMP say they don’t have the resources to keep an eye on them, and we know the RCMP revoked the passport of the Quebec Muztard….

  9. The feds/RCMP is intentionally keeping radicalized ISIS sympathizers in the country, and letting them run loose. Period.

  10. Where was Trudeau? Wasn’t this the perfect opportunity to demonstrate inclusiveness, diversity and one’s dedication to root causes?

  11. That was ABSOLUTELY my first thought. Instead of seeing all those suits running away, how nice would it have been to at least one of them take position and aim a round into this scumbag’s garbage bag of a head?

  12. Not sure if I could have managed the quick witted feat, but the video begs the following question;
Could the group around the pillars where the DNA-waste gets out of his first car, have dropped him?
Certainly with concealed carry, maybe with a quick tackle.
We must evolve from our trudopian torpor to get to that frame of mind.

  13. Glad both 72 White Raisin reward cadets are no longer able to fog a mirror.
Grateful for those small miracles in otherwise dark events.

  14. In the early stages of the video, anyone else find it strange that two or three people on the sidewalk were watching for somebody to arrive and wanted to interact with the car driver before it was obvious he would stop and get out?
Those people were not fleeing from the war memorial, from what one can see, they were hanging around that spot, perhaps alerted by sirens or other noises? It was too soon after the first shooting to know through any media that anything was going on.
One might note also that this is the fastest anyone has ever seen Ottawa civil servants moving since the last time the Liberals were giving out envelopes.

  15. I’ve heard a lot of stuff on other blogs about how inadequate the cops’ response was. That’s not what I just saw. The guy wasn’t even in the door of Centre Block, and there were two cars arriving with police, with a 3rd arriving seconds later. How much faster do people expect them to react?
I want our public buildings open, not full of barricades, metal detectors, and surly security guards. I think the police, the RCMP, and of course, Kevin Vickers, all did a fine job.

  16. I agree. Those bollards we saw in front, new and ugly. They’re there to stop VBIEDS.
I’ll bet the newest construction is going to be a guard post or two right where he had to stop his car and get out after leaving the memorial. Imagine if there was one of the many scrums going on on the grass just behind the bollards that often take place.
Guess we won’t be seeing many more scrums there, eh?

  17. “We all heard the RCMP say they don’t have the resources to keep an eye on them, and we know the RCMP revoked the passport of the Quebec Muztard….”
The role of keeping an eye on them belongs to CSIS. They took the security role away from the RCMP several decades ago on June 21, 1984. I guess you didn’t get the memo.
CSIS is Canada’s lead agency on national security matters and for conducting national security investigations and security intelligence collection. CSIS collects and analyzes intelligence and advises the Government of Canada on issues and activities that may threaten the security of Canada and its citizens, both at home and abroad.
These threats include terrorism, espionage and foreign interference in Canadian affairs, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and information security threats. The agency is also responsible for the security screening program.
