First to comment at the Red Star –
“chuck20212
Smells like more Conservative efforts at cheating. No voting machines for 2015, enough is enough. 2011 taught us all!”
Yet PC Party calls for hand recount…nice try though, Chuck. Would have replies but I can’t bring myself to register with the Star.
paper ballots and indelible inked index fingers are the only remotely safe method.
As long as there is a Liberal Party of Canada/all Provinces is involved an average Canadian cannot be confident it was a fair election unless the ballots are counted by hand in each riding polling station and there are scrutinizers from each Political Party examining the count.
We have experienced in Ontario what the Liberals will do with electronic records when McGuinty slithered away as his Premier’s Office records were destroyed.
Mark whatever voting method the Liberals prefer. Use the opposite.
Or one could just have intelligence tests in order to vote.
If New Brunswick goes the way of Nova Scotia, this will be a very bad sign.
Thank you Mr. Gallant. More oilfield workers in Fort Mac and Estevan!!

Nova Scotia and New Brunswick need to be cleansed of hypocrisy. Any Province banning fracking shouldn’t receive any equalization loot from Provinces that derive much of their revenue from such intelligent practices of hydrocarbon extraction. Their “people” have spoken and those of us in the West should listen and help them be true to their hysteria.
Right, hypocrisy reigns supreme in New Brunswick. Send your young people West for work FRACKING then suck from the Equalization teat fed from it.
It must also be pointed out the Shiny Pony campaigned for the NB Liberals, he who aspires to lead the country is also against the fracking, the Oil Sands and the Pipeline project.
Gallant and Trudeau are two fellows well met, neither are the brightest lights in the political arena. Sad mess New Brunswick, enjoy the pay packet from the West.
NB has voted to reject prosperity via shale gas extraction and rely on fairy tales of government created jobs and handouts from Alberta and other “have” provinces.
Sad day for NB and Canada.
The new premier promised to spend $900 million on new roads and other infrastructure. Did the average NB voter take the time to wonder exactly where Gallant was going to come up with this cash? Obviously not. Even equalization payments have a limit.
Anyone who rejects new sources of earning income and instead votes to live off others who are not afraid of progress and hard work is one of the lowest forms of life in this country.
I used to think that western separation was craziness but it’s sure looking better and better every day.
Now New Brunswick voting to reward themselves with other peoples money is no surprise, but I am confused by this electronic vote collation, I have some experience working on similar machines and doubt the claimed accuracy.
How do the scrutineers do their job?
How do you ensure a fair and honest count was done?
Like the love affair with computerized modelling , there is almost a religious faith that computerized machines are better than human hands.
What better verification of this machine count than a full physical recount?
Surely democracy is too important to leave to machines… and the persons who programme them?
Basically who votes is unimportant if you control who or what counts these votes.
New Brunswick is the poster child for the phrase, “Liberal, Tory, same old story.” There’s about an inch of actual policy difference between the Liberals and PCs in that province. Both of them are too far left to ever get anything meaningful done that will save the province from its stagnation and decline, but neither are so far left that they’d make outright enemies of Irving (Irving really runs the joint. McCain gets a say. The government gets what’s left). They just sit there in the mushy middle, trading sides in the legislature every four years, while life goes on around them.
There are no conservative parties in the Maritimes. Probably not Newfoundland either, though I don’t know its political culture as well.
Whole lot of big assumptions there Liz J.
Are you real sure of your “facts”?
Or is this just a drive by smear?
And please enlighten us on the huge amount of tax you must pay to be so upset at the obviously unknown.
It used to be only Liberals that used ignorance to showcase their ignorance.
The Liberals were elected in N.B. because the Progressive Conservative party sold out the taxpayers to big business. Period.
Like in Ottawa, crony capitalism rules the day.
paper ballots with a written X is the only way combined with voter ID to reduce voter fraud to a low amount!
“..Irving really runs the joint. McCain gets a say. The government gets what’s left ”
guess what? If anyone was really missed it would be the Olands, with or without the murderers..and irvink and mckane can eat sh!t
