The Cougar had to be sick. They are rarely seen, even in a city setting, much less resting in an open place. I’ve talked to farmers and ranchers who lived near a river for 50 years, saw the tracks in the dirt and snow, yet never saw them out in the open. Very sad to have to kill it!
Your thought for the day.
If there are liberal mps that decide to leave their caucus over justin’s pro abortion dictate, is it plausible that after joining up with the independant liberal senators that they could declare themselves a new party?
Given that after the 93 result the PC party with only 4 seats was allowed to retain official party status and recieve all the perks that came with it, it would be very hard for the House to object to this new caucus being granted official standing in the house. It would also be interesting to watch the media try to twist history so that the new bloc is seen as illegitimate

Very interesting. My guess was Germany for top spot. They are not even on the list!
If no cougars are ever seen, it’s a sign of global warming.
If a cougar is spotted in the city, it’s because urbanization and development have stolen it’s habitat.
If they shoot the cougar, it was a heartbreaking and senseless loss.
If they don’t shoot the cougar and it hurts someone, it’s humanities’ fault for incringing on it’s territory.
And no matter what happens, as it states in the article, the union will claim it’s chronically understaffed.
Nice thought, but………….these are Liberals we are talking about.
Their lust for power, at any cost, is inbred in them.
Anything like you spelllout, would be just a power play, for a payofff or cabinet ositions. They may be “principled”, bu they’re not THAT principled
The cougar had to be sick? That’s just not true. Here’s one guy who was badly and permanently mangled by a healthy cougar but escaped with his life because he carried a lock-blade knife.
“At that very moment, Parker found himself staring into the eyes of a HEALTHY young male Puma concolor… This one was an arm’s length from his face.”

There are dozens of cougar attacks listed on this site, many of them by healthy animals. This is not an exhaustive list but many deaths and serious lifelong injuries are recorded.

When they prey on humans these skilled predators usually attack children because they’re small and defenseless, but they will attack adults. I hope you never have a close encounter with one as you drift across the plainz.

“The U.N.’s Climate-Summit Charade”
“At a perilous juncture in world affairs and with the international system visibly breaking down — the first forcible annexation of European territory since Hitler’s war; a bunch of fanatics and psychopaths, perpetrators of a double genocide, seizing control of a vast swath of the Levant, and American leadership exhausted — the U.N. secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, is convening a summit of world leaders to discuss, of all things, global warming.”

Its probably more likely that you’ll be killed by lightning than a cougar but here’s some helpful info from the article above just in case.
“A cougar can cover a distance of up to six metres in one leap. Weighing as much as 100 kilograms and reaching 2.7 metres in length, a third of which is tail, the cat can kill prey twice its weight by snapping the animal’s neck with its strong jaws and sinking its four-centimetre fangs into the spine. Its abrasive tongue helps strip meat from the bones.”
“What do we do then?”
“Brunham says the question is largely academic: “Most people attacked by cougars never even saw it coming.” But he does have some advice, based on his own years of experience, and it is the same advice offered by wildlife biologists who have conducted in-depth studies of human-cougar encounters throughout North America. Don’t turn away from the animal. Don’t run. Make yourself look big. Shout. Bark. Growl. Act like a big, mean predator. Do not play dead. It does not work with cougars. And if the cat attacks, Brunham says, fight back, just as David Parker did.”
“That is Parker’s advice too. ‘I’m a survivor,’ he says. ‘And I can tell you, you have to be very, very wary of these animals.'”

Concur completely on the point about “they are liberals after all”. But then if being able to bypass the spawn to obtain a leadership position, time allocation during qp, and some of the House research budget, plus some payback from the senate liberals for the summary ousting from the party caucus, I’d bet dollars to donuts they’d take the opportunity to stick it to the current leader. Power and money drives them after all, and civil wars are nothing new in the liberal fold.
Right now I’m seeing a rift between the establishment blu-lib fold and the socialist half under the pony. As time has demonstrated justin is proven not to be a quick study or shown he can handle a debate outside of the echo chamber. Being a weak leader allows dissent to fester. So even tho I give full credibility to your contention that it appears long odds on a party split, I’ll make the bold prediction that before the next election justin is going to have a crisis on his hands the media cannot spin or cover up.
Joseph.
Naturally.
It all comes down to that well-known premise, which is especially relevant in Liberal politics.
“Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer!”
In my mind, and in many who can think, Turdeau is a walking flustercluck, aching for another Bozo eruption to emerge.
To the lefty utopian crowd, he is the second coming of Obama and PET, rolled into one, despite plenty of evidence that he is anything but.
To those that think he is a shoe-in for the PM job, I say, Comrade Dix had already picked his cabinet, and had the doorplates made last year, with a lead of 20 points in the polls……and look how well that worked out. When it comes time to get serious about picking a serious person for CEO of Canada, our citizens will blink, and vote PMSH in again for the top job. Turdeau is just an embarassment of idiocy, but in that way, he embodies the Federal Liberal party
