Lyndon Johnson exercised “tight control” over air strikes in Vietnam, down to the point of picking individual targets and otherwise micromanaging the war from the White House in such a way that it virtually guaranteed no hope of victory. Great.
With a plethora of dismal generals, Lincoln never attempted to manage the war directly even with disaster facing him after Bull Run. Now our feckless leader intends to manage the war directly with at least competent military officers. And yes, Grofaz managed his little fracas directly and that didn’t work out so well as I recall.
Obama has taken on the presidency with no positive qualifications and has succeeded accordingly so why not that of pretending armchair bomber commander? Dropping bombs virtually anywhere in the ME outside of Israel will at least, kill enemies of the West. It’s only a matter of targeting the worst first which would be all you could expect from a professional commander. It’s not as if the US is actually trying to win a war or anything as they have long forgotten that part.
Daniel Pipes on Fox yesterday brought up the point that Western involvement against ISIS is actually assisting Iran as this is ultimately a Sunni Shiite conflict. Aside from possibly arming the Kurds, why should we re-engage in the Islamic wastelands to enable and enlarge Iran’s sphere of influence while they are free to develope their nuclear capacity? Could there be a more fitting end to radicalized Western Jihadists than to join ISIS, go to the ME and be killed by competing Islamists?

It’s seems to me that the biggest threat to US sovereignty is leaving borders wide open to allow Obamba’s ISIS creation to freely walk in anytime they wish.
Doesn’t leaving the gates open to the enemy constitute treason anymore?
Other questions:
If Obamba is so concerned about Syria’s human rights abuses, why aren’t they concerned with China’s, or Saudi Arabia’s or Bahrain’s?
Why would they overthrow Gadhafi’s Libya a vocal Al Qaeda enemy and give weapons to them Al Qaeda/ ISIS?
Why would they pull out of Iraq, leaving many millions of dollars of combat equipment to ISIS?
Why would they now overthrow Syria, another enemy of ISIS, using ISIS?
It’s a good thing Obamba has signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) – Authorizing police and military to detain Americans indefinitely and without trial, because it looks like he’s going to need it with all those cross border domestic terrorists that didn’t read the “no trespassing” signs.
Obama wants to minimize the effects of US bombinb because he is on the side of Isalm … not sure but I would think Shia since he appears to be in support Iran in most things indlucing their getting nuclear weapons to wipe out Israel and the Palastinians who live in clse proximity, but who cares they only pawns in the Jew Hate game anyway. Obama is helping the jihad through his in action and timidity and general stupidity. … yes I know … he is the smartest guy who ever lived, but to destroy freedom is always stupid.
A former corporal managed to lose a war while commanding a formidable force, what can a man with no military (or other) experience do? Micromanagement by a person with no demonstrated competence in any field does not bode well for the future.
The comparisons to Hitler are rather unfair. If nothing else, at least Hitler had some basis — feeble though it may be — for his delusions that he was smarter than, say, Rommel — having actually served in the military and being awarded several medals.
Obama? Not so much. He’s just that brilliant.

Years ago, I read a book titled ,” Thud Ridge”, by one of the career USAF pilots who flew the Thud, F-105, in Vietnam. The political machinations that uselessly put American pilots at risk had me gnashing my teeth in anger.
I expect more of the same with this Destroyer of the USA in charge of the scene.

First Class, which was not so common. After being wounded during the Battle of the Somme, and recovering, he wrote his former Commanding Officer
asking to be reinstated in his unit because of his sense of duty. And he was reinstated, and was on active service until October 1918 when he was
invalided in a gas attack.
So Hitler had plenty of experience in the German Army, at the level of corporal. He read incessantly about military affairs, and knew a vast amount
about equipment, as Galland discussed in his memoires. Even in matters of strategy, where overall Hitler’s ideas were disastrous,
von Manstein writes that Hitler had some
good ideas, and implies that given time and training he might have become a competent strategist.
All of which makes it clear that Obama as a field commander may be the best thing that ever happens to ISIS. He is the real Gröfaz, as was suggested the
other day – the greatest field commander of all time.
Obama does not want Islamism in whatever form it takes to stop, hence the soldiers in Liberia. If he were ever serious, Boko Haram would be a rumour by now.
