United States Army major general was killed on Tuesday by an Afghan soldier, shot at close range at a military training academy on the outskirts of Kabul, an official of the American-led coalition and Afghan media reported Tuesday. The officer was the highest-ranking member of the American military to die in hostilities in the Afghanistan war.
The coalition official, who spoke on condition of anonymity and would not release the name of the major general, said an unspecified number of other service members of the American-led coalition and Afghan soldiers, including a senior Afghan commander were also shot. Their conditions were not known.

A NATO soldier opened fire toward journalists near the main gate of Camp Qargha on Tuesday after a shooting at the military training academy outside Kabul.

I’ll. go. slow
Next Time. Send. The. Air. Force.
There is nothing in Afghanistan that justifies one US Marine getting a scratch on his pinky finger.
A two star general killed. Obama’s war. More epic fail.
High. Altitude. Low. Energy. Devices.
Or.
Low. Altitude. High. Energy. Devices.
Blaming this on Obama is nonsense. It could have happened just as easily during Bush’s watch.
Such are the vicissitudes of being involved in a conflict of this type where the indigenous population is on both sides.
Similar things happened in the Vietnam War.
The photo caption seems to be a nonsense.
You can’t blame Bush or Obama. You can blame America in general safely though. Being best friends with the portion of the enemy that finances all the rest of your enemy is unwise. But the enemy bought just the right Americans that can pretend ignorance of Islam and blind all the rest with their influence and power. The traitors in America don’t even know they are traitors, it’s just good business and protecting their incomes from middle eastern partners.
Obama could care less. Remember when it was reported he went like 6 months without even talking to McChrystal?
See Col Alan West’s comments in next post.
The Jihadists know the infidels are leaving soon. We told them so many times. The Afghan soldier who shot the General believes that he just bought himself some salvation in the after-life which he also knows will come soon enough as the Jihadists reclaim their turf and where he would have been seen as on the infidel’s side. Every NATO life destroyed or altered in the Afghan wastelands was, in the long term for naught. Look for more workplace violence as the Jihadists reclaim their dystopia from the PC (likely in gun-free encampments) infidels.
Oh nonsense. The rules of engagement under which US forces operate make this easy. With Obama there have been
completely unarmed US forces mixing with Afghans, who needless to say would be deeply insulted to be disarmed.
During a visit of Leon Panetta to Afstan the Marines guarding him were completely disarmed when he addressed them.
According to tradition, US Marines are never without their weapons.
The shooting of a major general is good news; the only thing is that US two star generals are still small potatoes by
US military standards.
“Blaming this on Obama is nonsense….Similar things happened in the Vietnam War.”
Pfft! Forget Viet Nam. How many have been happening on Muslim Obama’s watch or since he got elected in 2008 and then they spiked again when he was re-elected in 2012?

Yeah, Green-on-Blue attacks in Afghanistan are spiking on the DogEater’s watch, they are his fault.
Next time just nuke Afghanistan. No one will notice any way. A salute to the general for having to live with deranges ROE’s.A heavy sigh with sorrow, for all the Canadian & American lives lost in this blighted land, along with others for no good reason.
Afghanistan is a trap for death.
Why are they still there with unworkable ROEs just like they did in Iraq and VietNam?
The USofA learned in Korea that it’s much more lucrative for the MIC not to win wars decisively and quickly, but instead to get bogged down in un-winnable situations that waste lives and resources for many years.
Obama started these Green-on-Blue attacks with his talk about pulling U.S. forces out of Afghanistan, even suggesting a schedule.
As sentient people noted during the Gulf War when coalition forces went through Saddam’s Soviet equipped forces like sh1t through a goose, many orders for the losing equipment were cancelled and the Russians suffered large economic losses.(Arms and War Materiel are the #1 Global trade item)
For this reason, no country loses a war on purpose, contrary to the spurious reasoning of Russian agents that might frequent this site.
Between Obama thinning the military budget and cutbacks on foreign arms orders for U.S. manufacturers, looks like the Military Industrial Complex is going to be eating thin gruel for some time to come. Just the way Ivan likes it.
