The CBC claims that Mr. Harper follows Homer Simpson on Twitter. Little does the CBC realize that by following Homer Simpson, our PM can predict Justin Trudeau’s next move!!
Please forward to Robert.

So Mark Wales says he has “influence” and “a voice”. He and people like him have been government playthings ever since they signed on board with the Farm Registration and Farm Organizations Funding Act, 1993 (http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_93f21_e.htm ). A fine example is the Greenbelt Act, 2005 (http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_05g01_e.htm ) wherein section 19 states that “No costs, compensation or damages are owing or payable to any person and no remedy, including but not limited to a remedy in contract, restitution, tort or trust, is available to any person” and “Nothing done or not done in accordance with this Act or the regulations made under it constitutes an expropriation or injurious affection for the purposes of the Expropriations Act or otherwise at law”. Section 98 of the Clean Water Act, 2006 is exactly the same, and so on. OFA let it all happen, cap in hand. They’ve proven themselves again and again to be worse than useless because the Ontario government used OFA endorsement every time to show that “farmers support this legislation”. They’re sellouts.
Hey Joe you sound like a socialist asking others to finance what you want. Pay your own way!
.
Been a long time since I heard Humphrey and the Dumptrucks …. around 1967 or 68 I was 17 , just bought a car , and ventured out on my first real road trip , from Manitoba , to Calgary , the Calgary Stampede was on and they were one of the bands playing there.
reverendken, your post doesn’t warrant a polite reply

I never decide such things but there were certainly several that had me chuckling!
I THINK I remember watching Humphrey and the Dumptrucks playing in the living room of Helen K and Liz M on Saskatchewan Crescent East in the early 70s when I THINK I was going to the U of S. I did not appreciate how good they were then because they were not from “away”. On sober second thought, they were pretty damn good. They, as people and as musicians, made it a merry mansion for many. Thanks for the blast from the past!
Kerry’s a fool. I guess he doesn’t have anything better to do now the world ignores him.
[I]We’re not talking about some distant future. We’re not talking about some pie in the sky, unproven set of theories, as they were in the earliest days of population growth or other challenges that we face. The impacts of climate change are already being felt everywhere in the world. From the Arctic to the Antarctic, and everywhere in between and around, and they are only going to get worse,” he said, noting that will continue to be the case unless world leaders are able to reach an agreement in Paris next year at the UN conference on climate change. Northwestel is using solar panels to power four more remote sites in the Territories following the success of a pilot project last year.
“These sites north of Ross River and north of Yellowknife are currently running on massive diesel engines and so the solar panel sites are allowing the sites to run on solar power energy and saving on us a lot on diesel,” Newsome says.
“Northwestel spends $2.5 million a year on diesel so this is saving us a lot and at the same time helping the environment.”
Northwestel says it will save $46,000 in fuel by the end of this year. The company is looking at installing four more solar panel sites in 2015 and another four in 2016.

Canadian research is at the heart of an experimental Ebola therapy recently given to two American aid workers infected while caring for patients in Liberia. And they made the stuff out of tobacco.
The drug is generated in tobacco plants that have been genetically engineered to produce the monoclonal antibodies.
Two of the monoclonal antibodies are the product of years of research done at the Public Health Agency of Canada’s National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg, the agency confirmed in an email late Monday.
The third was developed at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, known as USAMRIID.

Is ebola racist? They want to know. Ask our whitey lab rats.
“But who’s ‘they’ kemo sabe?”
“The only acceptable way to test the new uncertified medication in Liberia was on two white Americans. That way if the serum failed the UN wouldn’t sue.”

“I Aim To Misbehave”
“The UK’s top public doctor says the failure to find a cure for Ebola represents underscores “the moral bankruptcy of capitalism”. Does that mean we can expect an Ebola vaccine from a socialist country any day now? Or one developed by the public doctor’s public system? That’s not what he means. What he might be referring to is the dramatic recovery of two missionary healthworkers in Liberia following the administration of the experimental Zmapp serum.
This will be cited as proof that the cure for Ebola was only “50 white people away”. Professor John Ashton, president of the UK Faculty of Public Health, an independent body for specialists in public health in the United Kingdom said as much. No cures for blacks. “They’d find a cure if Ebola came to London,” he said.
But who’s ‘they’ kemo sabe? Not his public system. ’They’ is the morally bankrupt capitalist system that he hates so much. Now if only we could put the morally bankrupt public system under the control of public doctors.
Would the public doctors really decide to develop a cure for Ebola? The sad fact is that if they tested Zmapp on black Africans during this Ebola outbreak the media would claim they were being used as lab rats.”
