I have a theory why most jews vote left is because the left hysterically calls Conservatives Nazi’s and facists and wrote the political texts to say facism is the most extreme form of right wing politics and its stuck.

Shapiro is correct. Every study indicates the more left you are the less you are religiously observant. At the bottom are Jews. Exclude the Orthodox right wing Jews and you get about 5% going to temple/synagogue in the US.

It didn’t make any difference to al Qaeda that journalist Daniel Pearl was a non-observing irreligious Jew Leftist. They cut his head off on video, first forcing Pearl to recite, “My name is Daniel Pearl. I’m a Jewish American from Encino, California, USA. We’ve made numerous family visits to Israel.” then they sawed his head off.
It didn’t matter to the Nazis if a person only had a single grandparent who was Jewish, that person was forced to wear the yellow star and they were shipped off to the camps.
Practising, non-practising, made no difference then and it won’t be different in the future.
The Obama administration may not have a problem with their Anti-Israel policies within the Americanized Jews, but it is the ~200 million non-Jewish Americans that have developed Jewish sensibilities, through popular Jewish culture, that they need to fear.
The John Kerry nonsense has negative fund raising (non-Jewish) for all DNC candidates. Obama didn’t change his tune just because of Jewish outrage.

I think it’s explained by the fact that for left wing Jews, when they hear the word “Christianity” they see barbed wire, which, in Americas case, is deeply insulting. Some even deny they are white in some perverted attempt to make common cause with other “oppressed” racial groups. Bizarre.
My manager at work is Jewish. As bosses go he’s a great guy to work for. Sense of humour and outrageously outspoken about many things.
He’s also a lefty. I do my best to get a rise out of him by proudly displaying my ‘Arguing With Idiots’ Glen Beck book on my desk as well as my framed tickets from seeing O’Reilly and Miller in New York a couple of years ago.
We got into a discussion one day about Islam vs. Judaism and the obvious conflicts in his people’s ‘home country’. His antipathy was astounding. I countered with “They put THEIR mosque on YOUR rock and this means nothing to you?”. It didn’t.
It still beats the hell out of me. Maybe if someone tried firing a rocket into his house he’d get the message.
I wonder if the voting habits of Jews – who are overwhelmingly urban, educated and comfortable – are all that different from their gentile brethren in the same categories?
This isn’t a difficult matter: these jews are liberals first, jews second.

David Horowitz gave an answer similar to Ben’s – that the religion was discarded, and what was left ethically was a misplaced zeal and belief that society could be re-made if its institutions were merely changed. Your boss is also a Business Manager, not necessarily a Business Owner, but in a position of directing Employees. In Ontario it is permissible for an Employee to call the manager/supervisor/owner a F—k–g; A–hole; etc! etc!; but the supervising person must always remain calm and collected.
An Employee is allowed to call the Ministry of Labour make a false statement and a Ministry of Labour Official will arrive unannounced within one business day. The experienced Official will run through his/her checklist of all the posting of the many regulations as being correct. Then after discussing the anonymous claim in private with an employee make an announcement to a gathering of employees. Machinery frequently is stopped and it is always an impact on production and schedules.
The Officials statement and I paraphrase “managers are ALLOWED to manage”. The experienced Official will then shrug his shoulders and shake his head then walks out of the building.
If the Employee is not comfortable with the action of the Ministry of Labour then the Employee can go to the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. This is an expensive and time consuming process for a small business.
My reason for showing all this information is just to say your Boss might not react to your teasing because you as an employee have many ways to make your Boss uncomfortable. Hope you will take this information in the good spirit it is presented . Cheers;

A female relative, now deceased, her young son, and many of her fellow Russian/German fellow villagers, between Sept 1943 and March 1944 when the German Army was retreating, walked or rode in a wagon train all the way from Zaporozhia, Ukraine to the Warthegau area of western Poland. When they got to Poland they were deloused, fed, and clothed. Then they were all interviewed as to whether there was any Jewish blood in their ancestry. As they were of Mennonite background, many of the boys and girls had names like Aron, Daniel, Jakob, Peter, etc, and these had to change their names to reflect non-Jewishness. So, my second cousin’s mother had to change his name from Jakob to Werner.
