Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

heh.
And now that the kid has brought up the topic of ducks in oil tailings ponds, when will the gov’t start to treat equally, the wind power generators that have been chopping birds up?
Endangered birds are the preferred sacrifice to Gaia.
I’m a fan of the FUBAR movies, Spence and Lawrence created 2 characters who could have motored right out of Alberta’s late 70’s boom – I hate to admit I knew a few characters like this when I worked the patch. Far from being a mockumentary, Lawrence captured the character of an era and a subculture that is still very much alive in the prairie hinterlands.
Lethbridge Pils, Motley Crew, chevy 350s and “give’r” – rock on Deaner and chew up a hippy for me.
Hey Iberia,
Did you break a nail when you got out to push that old clunker?
That hitchhiker could have been Suzuki or Trudeau, same dumb headed ideology. At this point I don’t know where Trudeau is on much of anything, he’s swinging back and forth, for and against or somewhere in between depending on where he has his carcass at any given time.
That’s what you get when you take a ride with oil patch workers! Ha ha
You can rest assured that he believes all the Suzuki/Gore/Planet-Saving carp. He is a member of the Socialist Elite, don’t you know. He is the Messiah sent to save us. He knows what we should do, don’t you know. He is also a pig ignorant Shiny Pony but the Liberal Party is drooling at the prospect of getting their hands on the Government Gravy Train soon.
