Reader Tips

Tonight we are entertained by radio comedy legend, Phil Hendrie, and one of his characters, Bobbi Dooley. While listening to his guest’s over the top fears about Y2K, think about the latest fear mongering going on from the likes of Prophets Gore & Suzuki. For a little sanity on the subject, the Global Warming Swindle, recommended by ‘sasquatch’ the other day, will have you sleeping soundly tonight.
Your fact-filled reader tips are appreciated, as always, in the comments.

  1. This is a comment that appeared on CBC.Ca. The story was about celebrating Canada Day!

A big part of being Canadian is not acting like a slave and letting the government trample over your rights. Say NO to GMO poison in the food. Say NO to flouride in the water. Say NO to chemtrails in the sky. Speak out against corruption and oppression so we can remain a free Country. (End of quote)
My reply to the comment was: ”And don`t forget crop circles. They`re a problem in Saskatchewan.”
And seriously, I did investigate a crop circle incident when I was working in a newspaper many years ago. Did you know that aliens wear Kodiak work boots that are ”Made in Canada?”

  2. Medical staff warned: Keep your mouths shut about illegal immigrants or face arrest
In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

  3. Joe the Plumber wades into the US-Mexico border fiasco, and asks some questions about the motives of those inviting those kids to the border…
“The message has been clear to people in Central America: Get your child and yourself across the border and Obama will let you stay. Now it’s a reality and thousands of innocent girls are paying the price in blood, terror and tears: by Rodney Lee Conover
Officials at Lackland Air Force Base have told Democrat Congressman Henry Cuellar that among the wave of illegal immigrants flooding the Texas border from Central America; “… one-third of young girls that come across – and they were just like little babies; 10, 11, 14 years of age – get raped and/or abused on the way…”
Do you hear that President Obama? How about you, Congresswoman Pelosi? Little girls being raped and abused because they’ve been lured to the border by your policies, your lack of border enforcement, your rhetoric, speeches, and failure to uphold the Constitution?”

  4. That’s not how it’s reported on the CBC , in fact you would be hard pressed to see a headline of a conservative win.

  5. “Hackers Find Open Back Door to Power Grid With Renewables”
“Making the electricity grid greener is boosting its vulnerability to computer hacking, increasing the risk that spies or criminals can cause blackouts.
Adding wind farms, solar panels and smart meters to the power distribution system opens additional portals through which hackers can attack the grid, according to computer security experts advising governments and utilities. Where traditionally the grid took power from a few sources, it’s now absorbing it from thousands.”

“Officials say power grid is on the brink {New England}”
“The end result is a “precarious” situation that has in the last four winters placed New England “on the brink of reliability,” said Gordon van Welie, president and CEO of ISO-New England, which oversees the operation of New England’s bulk electric power system.
For instance this past winter, electricity prices soared as gas pipelines were operating at capacity but demand was much higher. Van Welie said the wholesale energy market in New England for the months of December, 2013 and January and February, 2014, was about $5 billion — the same value of the entire 12 months of 2012.”

  6. Happy Dominion Day! ( A little late I know, but Steyn’s article is a great, as usual.)
“Or 1983, when we got the new national holiday? And, as Dominion Day became Canada Day, a nomenclature unsurpassed by any other nation’s holiday in its yawning nullity, so some influential figures now wish to replace Victoria Day with Heritage Day, for only in Canada do we celebrate our heritage by obliterating it.”

“He pointed to companies operating in Western Canada’s premier shale fields, where the fracking technology that has revolutionized U.S. oil and gas production has also uncovered huge reserves.
In Canada, such fields include Montney region that runs from western Alberta and northeastern British Columbia, and Alberta’s burgeoning Duvernay field.”
