  1. That should solidify the notion that LIEberals at the federal level have habituated graft as a method of ‘doing business’.
Since when is a private wedding function, in particular your own offspring, the business of the federal government of Canada?
I’m sure his next election slogan is ‘Joe Fontana supports traditional marriage’ WITH YOUR TAX DOLLARS!
    Cheers

  2. “Fontana will be sentenced July 15.”
His sentence will be nothing. he’ll promise to pay back tax payers but he won’t and he’ll be re-elected by the morons in London because they’re part of the money laundering network of Statists.

  3. $ 1700.00 ??? Petty theft?? The Liberals routinely steal millions or billions. First time caught – 90 day suspended sentence.

  4. Yes, he could have filled the Finance portfolio for Wynne even if he had to serve a sentence on weekends. As it is, he doesn’t even have to attend a smudging or a healing circle.

  5. The Chretien Legacy – the gift that just keeps on giving! Doubtless Joe will be sentenced to some “community service”, which will furnish him another opportunity for further graft.
I’d like to see his parliamentary expense accounts audited going back to his first election, as this thing is likely a habit, not an isolated occurrence.

  6. The link was from CTV London. Given his former Cabinet Minister status, is CTV National running with this? Sorry for asking, but I cannot often stomach actually watching their broadcasts….

  7. He won’t suffer a day. He’s liberal elite just like Ben Levin the child molester.
The law is not for them. Only the seeming of it.To shut the peons up.

  8. that should guarantee his re-election by the morally vacuous liberals that infest this crappy province.

  9. Well, this is a positive for the Liberals, as this scumbag will make an excellent candidate for both Shiny Pony and the newly minted Premier Wind of Ontario. He would fit right in with either caucus.

  10. Hasn’t the poor little guy suffered enough already??
Quick, appoint him health minister of Ontario. I wonder if the CBC will do national wall to wall coverage about this story for the next 6 months..

  11. So he could get to spend up to 10 years in jail but he’s still saying he’s innocent? Sounds like a few appeals are coming.

  12. What! A Liberal guilty of fraud? I cannot believe it! A member of the Natural Stealing Party. I trust the OPP will remain ever-vigilant.

  13. When do the citizens of London plan the Fontana victory parade? Another huge win for the big red machine, hell, it was probably all Harpers fault anyhow. This conviction should assure Fontana gets re-elected Mayor of London.

  14. Well, that could turn out to be an expensive wedding gift if he gets the book thrown at him. Ah, who am I kidding? He’s a liberal – he’ll get a free pass.

  15. Actually the statement from the judge was pretty scathing. His worship tended to take, and I put it mildly, a very dim view of politicians that abuse the public trust. Speaking from the pov of someone on the ground, there area lot of local pundits that where gobsmacked that he was found guilty on even one of the charges. I’ll go out on a limb here and suggest that jofo may actually be facing incarceration and that if he appeals it would take the final decision past election day in the fall. That being the case, Fontana’s political career is done.
$1,700 down, $39,998,300. to go in the adscam reclamation program.
