  1. Methinks it really is time for parents to replay and really start to follow Pink Floyd’s advice in Brick in the wall.Mind you, that could be hard when over half of today’s parents need government help just to wipe their own a@@es.

  2. The US has now gone over the top bat shit crazy in their quest for safety. They see terrorists and threats everywhere and actually believe that these laws will protect them. The terrorists didn’t win the statists won without firing a single shot. It was a mass surrender of rights by the land of the no longer free delusional American public.

  3. This story has been lingering all week … just another case of those “Zero Tolerance” policies and their application by mental midgets.
BTW the kid’s parents have been kicking up a fuss … rightly so.

  4. Someone needed a psychiatric examination and it wasn’t the kid.
Some questions the principal should be asked while on the couch in the fetal position:
    1) What does the Boogieman look like?
    2) Does it help if you keep a light on at night?
    3) Have you considered having your kid check under your bed before you sleep?
    4) Do you take medication for that?
    5) BOO! Sorry I just couldn’t resist. What??? I’m making you feel threatened?!!!

  5. “……..feel uncomfortable”…………”raise red flags”.
Yea, but no worries from the Liberals about feeling uncomfortable with millions of Muslims filling the west.

  6. This has gone on so long now, with so many egregious cases, that sheer stupidity cannot explain it. It’s a deliberate attempt to subvert the Second Amendment by making children terrified by the very idea of guns.

  7. So, students have learned that they can punish fellow students by making baseless accusations and claiming to feel “uncomfortable.”
So, how long before they can make similarly baseless accusations against their parents, and have them arrested if thekids don’t get the allowance or privileges they want?

  8. It would be poetic justice if the squealer received ‘beat the crap out of’ motions at recess! Or maybe off the school grounds.

  9. No Snagglepuss, the squealer should have to go under the same evaluation, and that might get the right “perp” the help they so desperately need.

  10. Slow, gradual, grinding application of the Soviet system to a previously free country. Canadians need look no farther than their local school for the same situation. The Americans are just not as good at it, is all. Too heavy handed, too many rough edges.

  11. Here is Canada the same hysteria has long taken root, a few years back I gave my son a high end tape measure as a gift and to use in the wood work class he loved. while he waited for shop class to open he was twiddling with it and a female teacher stole it from him claiming he was pretending it was sword. the horror, I only got it back after some very heated exchanges with her and the ball less principal. Canadians need to be on guard, this madness is well established here, and needs to be vigorously fought, every time.

  12. Public education has become a form of systemic child abuse – a self destructive indoctrinating system which produces submissive prey for the predators who run the larger public control systems. Instilling a functional knowledge base is not a priority in making a useful citizen in the devolving authoritarian-left state. The authoritarian kleptocracy needs indoctrinates who are conditioned to be ignorant of history, pure science, philosophies which seek reason and truth, individul dignity and the political realities on the ground.
The curriculum in klepto-statism’s indoctrinating centers is very Orwellian – you train them in enough useful skills to staff a mediocre work force but the rest of their thinking must be occupied with expedient preditory state constructs – truth is fiction, partisan propaganda is truth, excessive state violence is peace, individual self defense is criminal violence, state theft is giving, private property and self interest is theft, freedom is slavery, zero tolerance is freedom etc, etc. – essentially God, and human reason are dead and they left an international network of martinet social workers to run everything on the planet.
As Kate so knavishly has alluded to in the title of these threads, the predatory state wants full control of your children so they may be properly indoctrinated in the psychopathy of the dystopian state – yes, the public school system produces generations of amoral unquestioning conformist zombies who are anesthetized to official sociopathy. Then the fanatic social engineers in post secondary education and the media finish the job, spinning out generations of intellectually/civilly maladjusted droids, stripped of empathy and reasoning capacity who are willing to sacrifice their lives (and yours) to an aggressive narrow minded dystopic political control system which victimizes all who dissent to its tyranny and immorality.
The children are indeed the future and we have good cause to fear that dystopic future.

  13. My grandson, a seven year old, came over and we were goofing around. My daughter (his mother) was there too. At some point during the afternoon I thought I’d show him my AR. I really don’t recall what we were all talking about.
Mom said it’s fine buddy, look through the scope.
His initial reaction was repulsion. It was a GUN! Turned away like it is something wrong to look at.
Let him borrow a scoped pellet gun to go shoot targets in the back yard for a week. He’s cured. Wants one for his birthday.

  14. It’s been a long time coming (this from 90 years ago):
“The result is an unparalleled impoverishment of human life. Personality can only be developed in the realm of individual choice. And that realm, in the modern state, is being slowly but steadily contracted. The tendency is making itself felt especially in the sphere of education. The object of education, it is now assumed, is the production of the greatest happiness for the greatest number. But the greatest happiness for the greatest number, it is assumed further, can be defined only by the will of the majority. Idiosyncrasies in education, therefore, it is said, must be avoided, and the choice of schools must be taken away from the individual parent and placed in the hands of the state. The state then exercises its authority through the instruments that are ready to hand, and at once, therefore, the child is placed under the control of psychological experts, themselves without the slightest acquaintance with the higher realms of human life, who proceed to prevent any such acquaintance being gained by those who come under their care. Such a result is being slightly delayed in America by the remnants of Anglo-Saxon individualism, but the signs of the times are all contrary to the maintenance of this half-way position; liberty is certainly held by but a precarious tenure when once its underlying principles have been lost. For a time it looked as though the utilitarianism which came into vogue in the middle of the nineteenth century would be a purely academic matter, without influence upon daily life. But such appearances have proved to be deceptive. The dominant tendency, even in a country like America, which formerly prided itself on its freedom from bureaucratic regulation of the details of life, is toward a drab utilitarianism in which all higher aspirations are to be lost.”
