  1. “Liberty for me but not for thee.” It’s a concept liberals will never understand. they’re just too narcissistic.

  2. Thought just came to me… years ago there was a magazine in America that made it its mission to out gays in media and in the public eye. Can’t remember the name of it. Don’t care to anyway.

  3. “Liberals” with their gay “marriage” and all-gay-all-the-time film, TV, news and education sextravaganza are the prime drivers behind this crackdown. Africans don’t like what they see over here and don’t want it over there.

  4. I seem to remember a legal flap where they wanted to publish the names and addresses of known sex offenders – but couldn’t because it violated their right to privacy.
Why do the lefties keep up with this? Everybody and his dog are buying pistols and black rifles and high cap mags – I am seeing this at my rod and gun club.
Oh well, by the time the judiciary renders a verdict most lefty rag sheets will be bankrupt and gone anyways.

  5. Fair is fair, no?
The funny part about the NY paper printing the names of area gun owners, was that several non-gun owning homes were soon burglarized leaving some to speculate that the thieves used the list to target homes without guns.
They (the Liberal Left) never really WIN.

  6. Why is it only Uganda that is being outed for this decision on outlawing gayness?
Has anyone asked Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia… for their opinions on this? How about “moderate” Malaysia? How about “moderate” Indonesia? How about “moderate” Morocco?
How about if someone conducts a survey of Imams in Canada / USA to see what they think about their gay followers?
    The hypocrisy, it’s thick.

    “The hypocrisy, it’s thick.”
No it’s just Liberal racism as usual.
That’s why they’ve enslaved black American’s in Affirmative Action ghetto’s and butchered over 55 million of them in abortion mills.

  8. Was a time when kids carried their 22’s with them everywhere and no one thought anything of it. Now it’s panic city at the mere sight of a firearm. Pitiful.

  9. Oh, the cognitive dissonance. Are all cultures equally valuable when that culture imprisons homosexuals for life?
I know that fanatical Muslims want to kill homosexuals, but that has always been the case so those on the left have managed to ignore it. Funny how a new law always makes more of a splash.

  10. I expect the gay pride flags to continue flying in front of government buildings in Victoria, Vancouver,Calgary and Toronto in keeping with their motto, “All gay…all the time”. Anything less is racist.

  11. Just playing Devils Advocate here.
If that county declared that the reason it didn’t want to release gun-owner info was because some of them were ‘victims of oppression (gay)’ and fearful for their safety, do ya think that this “progressive” rag might back off?

  12. so you imprison a gay male in an all male institution for life, wouldn’t that be like paradise for them? Enquiring minds need to know.
max, give it a rest, you’re cranking off about a culture you have no idea about. Uganda, the home of Ide Amin, and many strange people and ways. There are 33 other nations over there that have anti gay laws, they are backwards on many social and cultural ways over there.

  13. The new aristocracy must be catered to in all ways, but liberals consider anyone with a firearm to be the devil incarnate.

  14. Yeah I’m just making stuff up:

…Museveni rejected such reaction as interference in Ugandan affairs. A similar measure signed into law recently in Nigeria by its president.

“We Africans never seek to impose our view on others. If only they could let us alone,” Museveni said. “We have been disappointed for a long time by the conduct of the West. There is now an attempt at social imperialism.”

Museveni accused “arrogant and careless Western groups” of trying to recruit Ugandan children into homosexuality, but he did not name these purported groups.

At least I’m not trying to pin it on some evangelical Christians – the current libleft media approach.

A day after Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni signed into law a punitive bill that criminalizes homosexuality with life sentences and punishes efforts to raise or discuss gay issues, the influence of American evangelicals on the law is being raised.

  15. Last month, 34 times more Americans registered for gun licenses than applied for Obamacare.
Obama has done more to increase the sale of firearms and ammunition than any other president.

  17. I’m getting a little tired of this enforced tolerance for perversions. I thought we were supposed to have tolerance for the diversity of various cultures but it looks like the “diversity” only holds for female genital mutilation, wrapping women in tents and stoning adulterers. When it comes to the darling queers of the “tolerant” urban “progressives”, anyone who fails to show support for their “liberated” lifestyle is a bigot at best and knuckle dragging neanderthal at worst. Normally, if one posted that the average IQ of Ugandans was 73 on a non-queer related thread, one would be set upon by the “tolerant” with cries of racism and micro aggression. However, when it comes to an African country deciding that fudge packers can go elsewhere, suddenly the average IQ of the country is used as evidence of their backwardness. Pointing out this paradox to the “enlightened” self-defined urban elites would likely lead to them hurling invective after invective for daring to accuse them of hypocrisy.
People tend to avoid those who are obsessed with a single topic; the most boring thing I can think of would be to have a conversation with an individual who has an overwhelming need to memorize bus schedules and endlessly talk about them to people. I’ve had patients like that who can expound forever about their pathologic passion and can’t comprehend why people don’t like to be around them. The blatant homosexual is isomorphic to the bus schedule memorizing lunatic. Among heterosexuals, talk about what one happened to be doing the previous night with ones wife or girlfriend is virtually non-existent unless it’s explaining ones late arrival at work as the result of an overly long night of passion in a new relationship replacing sleep.
Queers are, for the most part, boring, intolerant, recklessly promiscuous and usually closet totalitarians. They were a major force in Hitler’s brownshirts until they had outlived their usefulness and were liquidated. I do have a rather jaded view of homosexuality after living in Vancouver and practicing medicine there as knowing that someone is homosexual will tell me there’s a 95% probability that they will have diametrically opposed political views to mine. There are Conservative and Libertarian homosexuals but they are a tiny minority. I view Uganda’s laws regarding homosexuality in a similar way as Saudi Arabia’s prohibition of alcohol. If I were to travel to Saudi Arabia, I wouldn’t seek out alcohol despite my Slavic sides fondness for the ingestion of fermented plant products. It’s something I can do without and homosexuals who can’t control their impulses in a place like Uganda are essentially asking to be arrested.

Ancillary to your FGM comment –
I once mentioned that male circumcision was (paradoxically) an anti-semetic practice – and was accused of being anti-semetic!
