  4. I couldn’t help but notice that just about everyone is pissed at the budget that just came out. The overriding reason seems to be that there “was nothing for them” or words to that effect. A federal budget that doesn’t pander to any Tom, Dick or Mary/Larry/Achmed and doesn’t raise my taxes is one that I can back.

    Ontario and Quebec were both angling for “stuff” yesterday, one day before the delivery of the budget. The Star: “Federal government shortchanging Ontario, Wynne says”.
    In plain English: “Taxpayers in other provinces aren’t propping up my government’s insane spending.”
    In Quebec, the PQ issued a stern warning to federal Conservatives. In short form: “If you don’t give us enough money, we might separate and…not let you give us money.”
    What a terrible thing that would be.

    That’s normal. Whenever most people perceive change they complain.
    Usually it’s the weather when nothing else new comes along.
    Anything the government does will always get complaints, that almost goes without saying.
    Any government budget is an attempt to further an agenda while pissing off the fewest number of people who might vote for them again.

  20. Can’t seem to watch the “Yellow submarine” youtube video and also can’t believe it’s been 50 years. Also, this was a neurologically significant piece of music as I realized that I am totally unable to understand words when they are sung as I thought back then that the lyrics were “we all live in the elephant brigade” and had no idea what this “yellow submarine” movie was that people were talking about. Probably a good thing that I was unable to convert sung words to raw text as there were many pieces of music from that era where I heard something totally different than was being sung. I always preferred instrumental music anyway.

    He then says a bit later, ” Take a look below at Scott’s excellent update to Liberal MPs last night”.
    Notice that he(or the party)is trying to personalixe ” Scott”.
    I will also personalize ” Scott”.

    Ralph Goodale was in the middle of this also. He ran the meeting. Did he not notice that the flamboyant rising star of the Liberal party was texting/sexting away while he was talking?
    I think he did.
    Ralph reminds me of the priest in my old neighbourhood that preached the good word on Sunday, but beat his wife the rest of the week.

    It wasn’t the priest, It was a respected church person.
    We harassed him until he shot at us. You do what you have to do,even when you are twelve. My mom taught me that. She did it while looking after me and the other 6 kids that were bothering her even more than I was.
