Awkward:CBC journo Laurie Brown caught donating publicly-owned property to anti-oil sands group

Ezra is more entertaining than Wayne and Shuster ever were…
CBC is out of control, they’re in dire need of purging starting from the top.
Suzuki has been on the public broadcaster’s teat so long he’s become attached, he’s an appendage who they support and protect and the whole body has no respect for the taxpayers.
Looks like our Conservative government will not do anything substantial to rein in this biased arm of the Liberal Left, their propaganda and spin is palpable.
Ezra Levant is a treasure. Talk about turning Alinsky’s tactics around. I still watch his rounding of that Human Rights Council nitwit for inspiration.
Fox news needs someone like him.
Brilliantly edgy, and thorough. Journalism at its finest. The Left would be proud of Levant – no doubt their hero – were they to have him on their side. Fortunately, they don’t.
We’ve all known about intellectual corruption at the CBC for years. What this reveals is that the green propaganda contamination has reached into the heart of public institutions such as the ROM.
Turning over a rock and watching the vermin scurry for cover is one thing. However, squishing said vermin underfoot before they escape is quite another.
Brown and those of her ilk should pay and pay big time for their disgusting antics and complete disregard for taxpayers’ money. Bad behaviour always has consequences. I like to think so anyway.
So will CBC claim this as a tax deduction to a registered charity?
Thanks batb. The CBC may be reporting this but will use this in some way against the big bad Conservative government.
I fully agree with lonetown.
I have always loved SunNews but at first continued to watch FoxNews more often.
Now I find myself watching SunNews 90% of the time.
Just don’t say it too loudly. I wouldn’t want FoxNews to steal Ezra. He is the best.
EZRA is GREAT! Order of Canada deserving for sure, and now not later.
His genius is his cheerfulness, much like Ann Coulter, with whom I’m deeply in love (it’s ok my long suffering wife is privy and supportive).
Ezra is never mean spirited. A great cheerful warrior.
He loves his work and we love this.
Is there any greater pleasure than in watching a person exult in the joy of his life’s work?
PUZZLE:
What is the premise for the Suzuki trial? I can’t figure this out. Has he been heroically fighting some uphill battle, alone, against all odds, against the powers that be?
Is he David?
And here I thought we had it bad down here with PBS/NPR.
So now we give the CBC our tax dollars so they can facilitate protests that will help ruin our economy?
When did that become the role of the state broadcaster?
Why am I forced through the tax system to fund political action that I in no way agree with?
Actually it boils down to using our tax dollars to fight their own government. They’re against the economic engine that is currently keeping us afloat. It could also boils down to biting the hand that feeds them.
The Suzuki trial is another garbage in garbage out computer model done on stage.. The left has abandoned all pretext of decency when it comes to selling or protecting their politics..
Trial in absentia, where nobody is there, including due process.. No Judge, no lawyers, no defendant and no accused.. A show trial where everything is hidden except their agenda.. Actors with a script (model) in their hands..
Its all fun and games on the tax payers dime..
CBC wasting money? I would have never believed it.
The Suzuki “trial” continued the noble tradition of jury tampering by Mafiosos such as John Gotti and others.
The judge was hand-picked by the organizers and the jury was stacked with fawning Suzuki supporters.
Talk about a slam-dunk case for a mistrial.
Doc Fruit Fly hasn’t had a very good time of late. He backed losers Dalton McGuinty and Joyce Murray, was caught requesting female assistants at a high school appearance, was exposed by Aussies to be completely clueless to climatology, and tormented children by telling them Santa was flooded out.
Not to worry, CBC still has his back and his meeting space needs, he could probably still be voted most revered Canadian in one of their polls. The real news is the emperor has no clothes.
In a nutshell, Ezra has proven to all Canadians how fragile the extremist left really is in our countries.
One man simply asks a few questions, and they fall apart at the seams.
Ezra is more than a great reporter and Canadian, he is a supremely talented educator.
The CBC has a far bigger problem than 1 or 2 Staff Members
A diligent Government would task a forensic Audit of the CBC’s financial practices. I expect this conversion of CBC Assets is not an isolated practice? It is theft by any other name.
The Broadcast business model does not run with a constant (every year) 1 billion deficit That requires effort & help in making assets disappear

The above two questions are questions that MUST be answered. It appears that we have a treasonous entity functioning in Canada, and using taxpayer dollars to fund it’s evil and anti-Canadian agenda.
Write your MP with these questions.
Hat tips to Stan and Slapshot.
Ezra is our Andrew Breitbart.
He gets a kick out of sparring!
I was surprised to see Vivian Krause trying to take credit for investigative work EZRA was doing. There’s room for both of them.
This winter is to Suzuki as 64 is to prime numbers. (not even close)
Ezra is devastating.
The left in Canada is so used to having the government providing full support and cover for their thieving ways, that simple open coverage scares them.
These parasites are certain of their entitlements that they dismiss the little people as irrelevant.
Their attempts to cover up are so clumsy I keep wondering if the CBC clerical staff are not not working for Ezra.
What if the top CBC media persons are moles?
Secretly working to destroy CBC.
So far I would be hard pressed to define the difference.
Drive intelligent viewers away?.. Check
Alienate 2/3 of politicians? Check.
Demand more revenue from impoverished taxpayers, while openly pissing money away? Check.
Put on air, dismissive, arrogant idiots, certain to anger even the holdout viewers? Check
Hubie Rocks, he must be a Harper stooge.
Or just another libtard.
I am so ashamed that long ago I gave my eight year old entomological son an autographed copy of a Suzuki book about bugs. I was such a babe in the woods then, no wonder my older brother looked at me questionably when I requested the gift (big bro was in a position of authority in a university bookstore, and had actually met the fruitfly). Luckily, my son has grown to be a clear-headed adult, and questions propoganda from all sides.
The CBC is the left at prayer.
Make them pay for it to remain on air.
PAY FOR ALL of it.
Privatize it now Prime Minister Harper!
Ezra is an absolutely delightful one-off — he should put “Fighter/Entertainer” on his business cards — with the effective force of any 500,000 ordinary people combined.
A massive asset for the forces of sanity in this country. He’s irreplaceable.
He must drive the loons absolutely *nuts*.
‘So glad Ezra’s not a politician. He’s far more effective as a one-man, ball-buster of “progressive” (sic). He’s more than the Energizer Bunny. He’s the Energizer Bulldozer.
If you are having trouble getting comments past the CBC censors just add a little note at the bottom about forwarding it to Ezra so he can do a show on CBC censorship.
Works wonders!
LOL. Perfect!
From Ezra’s newest article:
(Would the ROM also support the other side of the debate – a pro-oil lobby group? Not just giving them free space and free staff, but also officially endorsing a PR gimmick and publicizing it? Who gets to choose the ROM’s political views?
In this case, the answer is Dave Ireland and Bep Schippers. They’re global warming activists who work as executives at the ROM. According to ROM e-mails obtained by the Sun, last summer Ireland wrote an e-mail to Schippers showing her the proposal for the Suzuki stunt, saying: “hey Bep, in confidence, check this out… freakin cool idea… I agree with Suzuki’s manifesto.”
Schippers wrote right back: “Hey Dave. Super freaking cool idea and we are going to make it happen no matter what. It’s the edgiest thing the ROM has been involved in since the history of the ROM and the only way we would be able to pull something like this off is with a partnership like this.” As in, to team up with three anti-oil lobby groups.
Schippers was clearly aware that this was outside the ROM’s rules of partisanship: “It may be rocky – but totally worth it in the end. I’m willing to rock the internal boat on this one.”
And here’s the exact moment when the ROM ceased to be a museum and officially became a partisan anti-oil lobby group:
“We the ROM shouldn’t have to be NEUTRAL. We are allowed to take sides — it’s SCIENCE man,” wrote Schippers.) http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/sunnews/straighttalk/archives/2014/02/20140209-074950.html
Those two ROM staffers think they’re too clever for the rest of us. They’re just corrupt.
Ezra and SN are doing a good job on this and other files.
Suzuki is a creation of the CBC. They made him into the household name he is (his arrogance was always omnipresent). The CBC sees its role within the institutional left as a facilitator of the many various watermelon affiliated entities and campaigns and what Ezra has uncovered here is just the tip of the iceberg. The entire public education and public sector union complex is dedicated to furthering watermelon causes with taxpayer funded resources. They have been doing so for many years. Almost thirty years ago, the CBC refused paid promotional advertising from a BC forest industry group (COFI), saying it was too controversial (the ads consisted of actual photos of various stages of forest growth).
The Conservative Progressives have done nothing to address this problem. The institutional left owns the culture and with it, the politics. “Conservatives” can only “govern” around the edges.

Charities fear they may lose charitable status
