  1. The value of Young for today’s concert-goers,
is as an exhibition of the perils of drugs and venereal disease.

  2. Neil Young Canada’s most recognized rent-a-squawk.
Someone should tear off his rubber mask and expose Al Sharpton for who he really is.

  3. Is Neil Young still a soprano, or has his voice broken? He’s sixty-eight years old, although he looks like he’s seventy-eight years old.

  4. i used to get high with neil now it’s all bummer bummer..
Tides foundation has been exposed thanks to SDA, Ezra and the sunnews network.

  5. I would be very curious to find out exactly what treaties aren’t being honored.. Give us an example of just one…

  6. Jian Ghomeshi / CBC presented Neil Young as a moral leader and science expert. “If you have no clue, or a low IQ, this is Q.”

  7. I would suggest that the whiteman is going just a little bit above and beyond the original treaties instead of sticking to the strict written word of the treaties. I just read Treaty 6 and I can’t quite understand how we now end up spending billions of my dollars on these people. In fact, Treaty 6 has a provision to prevent the introduction and sale of alcohol on reserves….maybe that’s what he talking about????
Really, how many Canadians have actually read one of these treaties?

  8. Young has always been very good at promoting and looking out for Young. Young and the natives need to read the treaties, I agree we should honor them to the letter. The savings to the taxpayers would exceed $10b per year and the natives would learn to be self sufficient.

  9. I guess the Treaties work only one way – non-indians are expected to respect them, and indians can violate them whenever they want.
Note the last two paragraphs (before the signatures section) of Treaty Six:
“And the undersigned Chiefs on their own behalf and on behalf of all other Indians inhabiting the tract within ceded, do hereby solemnly promise and engage to strictly observe this treaty, and also to conduct and behave themselves as good and loyal subjects of Her Majesty the Queen.
They promise and engage that they will in all respects obey and abide by the law, and they will maintain peace and good order between each other, and also between themselves and other tribes of Indians, and between themselves and others of Her Majesty’s subjects, whether Indians or whites, now inhabiting or hereafter to inhabit any part of the said ceded tracts, and that they will not molest the person or property of any inhabitant of such ceded tracts, or the property of Her Majesty the Queen, or interfere with or trouble any person passing or travelling through the said tracts, or any part thereof, and that they will aid and assist the officers of Her Majesty in bringing to justice and punishment any Indian offending against the stipulations of this treaty, or infringing the laws in force in the country so ceded.”
Every Idle No More or other roadblock by Indians is a Treaty Violation. Every act of vandalism on private or public property is a Treaty violation. Every time an Indian commits a criminal act against a non-Indian, Indian or property of the same, it is not just a criminal act, but also a Treaty violation.
But how often will this be brought up?

  10. I’m of the opinion that further delving into the money-chain of TIDES etc. will reveal Saudi influence, as well as Chinese.
In whose best interest is it that natural gas fracking and oil production generally remain stunted in North America and more importantly in Europe? In whose best interest is it that energy remain too expensive in Canada for use in mere manufacturing? In whose best interest is it that all the light bulbs in the Western world be made in China?
Who wins when nuclear energy isn’t allowed in the West?
    Not us, that’s certain.

  11. “You don’t amass a fortune of
$65 million without being a sophisticated operator.”
No,Ezra, in the world of show business, you can be a complete idiot, an artistic fool, which most rock musicians are. Your financial well-being depends on who you hire to look after your money, and Young obviously chose well.
I read an interesting book a few years back on one of the real exceptions to the rule in rock,Randy Bachman, also from Winnipeg,”Taking Care of Business”. Bachman invested BTO’s money very wisely, and BTO live off the proceeds to this day.
And, you never hear of RB getting involved in phony “causes” like hie fellow Winnipegger,Stoner Young.
I’m not a violent man, but lately I’ve had an unreasonable itch to punch Neil Young in his bu**shit-spouting mouth, but fortunately he never included Kelowna on his “Fu** the White Taxpayers” tour.

“I’ve had an unreasonable itch to punch Neil Young in his bu**shit-spouting mouth,….”
Yea, but that’s what this weirdo has been looking for all his life.
He went from a dope up hippy young man pissing off the Conservative establishment, to an old doped up hippy pissing off the Conservative non-establishment. His whole shtick has been pissing off Conservatives regardless of consequences.
He’s one of the original pot head Trolls, well before the internet made him ordinary.

  13. The Tides Foundation is a green cover for gangster lawyers shaking down private Corporations & Government Agencies. They are engaged in legalized, in the 9th circuit, racketeering.
The will to arrest & convict them may be found if Canada was to shut down, for maintenance, the Nat Gas pipeline to the west coast.
Canada could also sue the USA using NAFTA, for commerce interference & racketeering. The three-judge panel would not include the corrupt 9th circuit.
The trial would be a televised extravaganza of Corruption! Tides, Van Jones, Obama
The Indians are agents of a foreign power. They are guilty of Treason whether out of ignorance or willful complicity. Hang the bastards…
    JMHO

  14. MalWart shoppers have pretty much ensured that almost every product sold in the Western world will be made in China, not just light bulbs. In whose best interest is it that?

  15. Don’t forget, Diana Krall joined this tour. I’ve always felt she was overrated — maybe an adequate jazz pianist but her vocals lack passion and sincerity. ‘Blonde hair helps and being married to Elvis Costello. But now she’s outed herself as a total idiot and a rich, Suzuki-brainwashed, hypocrite.

  16. Good on ya Ezra…
It comes as no surprise that there are interests out there who wish to see Oil & Gas development of any kind in Canada slowed or even shut down..but as Phantom stated previously, I don’t believe it is “Tides” or Ducks Unlimited” in a true altruistic moment of clarity that funds these initiatives. The Money comes from abroad.
One only needs to have been a sales person in their lives to know that it is Canada’s competitionthat has most if not all to gain by hobbling our resource extraction.
Saudi, Iran, Iraq, UAE Qatar, Kuwait, Venezuala, Mexico and even Brazil..would all benefit…
So EZRA..how about doing an in depth investigation to see if what many of us think is right.???

  17. Please tell me in what way the government honored the treaties to benefit the Native people without abuse or alienation or even, dare I say it? genocide? The treaties were broken over and over again by the government… the treaties are to be honored today in what would be the context today, all part of the forming of Canada to be a sovereign country, this included recognising women as human beings in the constitution and a right to protection of equal job opportumities as well as personal protection. The judge in the Supreme Court of Canada said a duty to consult. So why is this so difficult for people to grasp?
