So can Windows and your precious Mac. Not to mention pretty much any phone, iPod, iPad, Android tablet and etc.
Because why? Because they can hack not just the operating system and the browser, they have exploits for the hardware. BIOS, hard drive controller, probably the CPU, probably the northbridge and southbridge, for sure USB thumb drives.
You want secure? Make sure your microphone/web cam has a plug you can pull. Like, physically. Important safety tip, laptops do NOT have an off switch that kills the camera and microphone unless you pull out the battery.
