Since you wish to interject such a concern for children, permit me to offer some support of your target comment. Obama does not, in reality have much compassion for children.
Point of fact, it is prohibited by law to provide U.S. support for nations who use child soldiers, yet Obama directly, with knowledge and intent, violates this law, even today.

Why are Roman Catholics so defensive about the child abuse issue? It happened and happens still, possibly. It was hidden by the church for years but today, accept it happened and change how it is handled.
Make sure the guilty appear before a court of law, and weed them out as quickly as possible. The revelation that 400 were removed by the Pope in recent years shows an attempt is being made.
You can see that making the excuse that this crime happens in other professions and among other groups is not acceptable. The priest has been ordained and handles the consecrated bread and wine and then distributes it to the faithful. In the case of a priest whose sin is ongoing, this must be the sacrilege above all sacrileges since in Roman Catholic teaching, transubstantiation turns the bread and wine into the actual body of Christ.
There is no comparison between Roman Catholic priests and other leaders who abuse children so acknowledge it and move on.
Like Obama, Chretien had a lack of respect for military members as well. I’m sure he acquired this terrible trait being one of Trudeau’s disciples. I remember a friend who worked at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa years ago tell me that Chretien never once set foot in the building. I guess if you have no interest in national security there would be no reason to go there.

A hospital in Cairo
A Coptic Christian young man died on New Year’s Eve from a gunshot wound to the head after three hospitals in Cairo turned him away.
Ihab Ghattas, 23, was shot outside Mar Girgis (St. George’s) Church in the Ain Shams area of Cairo. Ihab, along with some other young people, had reportedly joined police in defending their church from members of the Muslim Brotherhood, a militant Islamist group, who were protesting outside the building at the time. Ihab was then reportedly shot by one of the protestors.
In a statement released on New Year’s Day, the Maspero Youth Union (MYU), a Coptic activist group, claimed that Ihab died because of “negligence” on the part of the several hospitals that refused to treat him. Ihab was reportedly denied access to one hospital because it was deemed not to be an emergency and another due to a lack of beds. The third hospital refused to treat him due to the absence of an intensive care unit. A fourth hospital, St. Peter’s in Heliopolis, admitted him, but Ihab died soon afterwards. According to the MYU, Ihab had, by this stage, been “bleeding for three hours.” The group has called for an investigation.
I’d read that malfeasance insurance was similar in cost between church officers (priests for example) and corporate officers (the executives). Does anyone know if Imams can gain this insurance? or is it a given that muslims close ranks and refuse to point fingers at themselves for wrongdoing.
