  1. “was the former Palestinian Liberation Organization safe in constant use at the Prague embassy, and if so, what made it explode?”
It isn’t common knowledge, I guess, but embassy safes often have a built-in accessory which is designed to incinerate sensitive documents kept inside to prevent them falling into the wrong hands.
    Just say’in.

  2. Palestine isn’t even a country and yet they have all these diplomats. All funded by Western tax dollars of course. Bleccch.
This is interesting but that Minneapolis explosion is more so. Definite Religion of Mayhem connection there.

  3. “The country’s counterintelligence service, BIS, said the death didn’t appear suspicious. Prime Minister Jiri Rusnok called the death “an unfortunate and tragic event.”
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki also said no foul play was suspected.

    Which either means:
    A. Own goal. Their own device “accidentally” did something it wasn’t supposed to.
    B. Own goal. Their own device did what it was supposed to do. He wasn’t supposed to mess with that safe. He did. It killed him. So sad.
    C. It wasn’t foul play. We’re all happy that the device functioned correctly and killed this person.

  4. Har! It will never be settled to everyone’s satisfaction whether this is due to malign action or to incompetence.

  5. “I knew there was something I forgot to tell Riad when he replaced me” – the former PLO ambassador.
I’m not going to lose a seconds sleep over a dead Pally muckety-muck.

  6. Ya put the detonator in,
Ya pull the wrong wire out,
    Ya trip the hootch-koochy
    And get blown all about..

  7. In Canada, you light a firecracker off and you will have every government agency from dog catcher to the environmental protection racket squad jumping down your throat, eager to find something to charge you with..
Bomb in a safe in CR that kills? Nothing to see here, move along..tragic happenstance/bad luck/mistake/fumble/own goal etc. ad nauseum..

  8. If you look at the picture of Ambassador Jamal-Al-Jamal,(why do these guys so often have the surname same as their first name)he looks really depressed,as if he’s just discovered what a bunch of assholes he works for.
So, I suspect suicide. Ambassador J-Al-J KNEW the explosive device was in the door, and deliberately tripped it to end it all. Can’t say I blame him under the circumstances.
    don-al-don

  9. Kursk, you’re forgetting that embassies are sovereign territory, thus the local police have no jurisdiction. If the PLO tells them ‘none of your business, go away’ diplomatic protocol dictates that the police leave.

  10. Perhaps if someone carefully explained to them the difference between a safe and a
lock box they could wade through the tissue of lies produced so far and come up with
something more coherent and possibly even truthful.

  11. I wonder if the safe had a CSA sticker on it?
Now watch and see if this “diplomat’s” name gets listed as a martyr.

  12. Has anyone called OSHA?
OSHA has a 10-Hour course for teaching workplace safety and helping workers reduce the risk of job-site related hazards.

  13. Years ago I did the exact same thing once – only it was a firecracker with strings on each end which i rigged up in our fridge – so when my room mate went for a nocturnal visit for a snak- bango! Same thing only different….
