  1. If some twit criticized me for wearing a poppy, I too might have resorted to colourful language and suggested something akin to sex and travel. Happily a jury had more sense than a prosecutor, at least in this case.

  5. The fact that she was charged in the first place shows the Brits have become just as loony as Canadians. In this country Asian vs Caucasian would mean a automatic win for Asian as our HRC’s are judge, jury and executioners. Politically correct mental cases with power sanctioned by governments and no appeal to the judicial system.

    So far no one has ever commented on my wearing a poppy, yet. The last few years there have been incidents at Remembrance ceremonies in some parts of Canada though.

  9. That, to me – his poppy comment – is what made it a social exchange, and perhaps a mild disturbance of the peace, rather than a political/religious issue –– until, that is, the government *charged her.*
    It’s ridiculous. He accused her of having blood on her hands because she was wearing a poppy in honour of fallen English/British soldiers; she gave him an earful in response.
    Why should she be charged? Because she gave him a piece of her mind? Because she was slightly louder? Because she was white-skinned?
    It shouldn’t be illegal to give someone a piece of your mind if they insult or denigrate you, and the soldiers who died for you, in your own country.

    Whether it’s legal or not will depend entirely on the sexuality/nationality or color of the person you blow up at and whether or not you hurt their feelings. And that’s a fact. The new improved politically correct society that crept in when schools began to co-parent and anyone that questioned it was either racist or homophobic. This is no longer the world we grew up in although you can still give someone your piece of mind as long as they are heterosexual Caucasian middle class males. Stray from that formula at your own risk.

  11. Displayed – the tyranny and absurdity of big brother attempting to regulate personal conversation and individual thought. I find it disgusting this woman would be arrested in the first place for what amounts to reacting to an ignorant insult – all I can see is that at the epicenter of new world order governance, “assault” has taken on a very broad and nebulous definition – one that allows authority to lay charges in a simple coversation – but that’s the new order that is planned for the serfs of big government.
    The mistake big brother made was allowing her peers to sit in a jury and deflect the predatory initiative of the state. They;ll have to fix that soon.

    When you have the Government blatantly lying for these barbarians as they murder. Than the courts allowing all sorts of abominations like female mutilation.The press pretending these folks are our friends when every day through action or verbal assaults demean us. All seen by our own lying eyes, all day long. Minding your own business you have these “colonizers” come tell you that they will take over while disrespect your military, customs, Nation. It becomes a fuse ready to explode.
    Is it any wonder at all she lost it. Its what happens when you create an untouchable class, with the full force of Government protection against its own citizens.
    The façade of the “religion of Peace” is dispersing very fast.
    Mean while the Media & government eunuchs don’t live in reality any more.

  17. What can you do.. I tell my children to think whatever you want but watch what comes out of your mouth.. Understand that you are in a system that must throw the book at you because its about protecting them and not about enslaving you.. When the judge is a mortician with a measuring tape in their hand its pretty much case closed..

  23. Story says he called her a “slag” because she had been out drinking. And he ranted about her wearing a poppy. Almost certainly a muzz. Hindus, Buddhists, Sihks, whatever, are generally more polite, and very unlikely to start a confrontation, and muslims do have that prohibition against alcohol (when they choose to make an issue of it).
