1. Hummmmmmmm. Live twitting their intentions.Did they take tips from the Chimp-in-Chief???

2. Eh.. there’s a good chance all RF is jammed around whatever room the shabbabs are in. And.. the Kenyans look to be using the “everyone with a gun head to the mall and help out” approach so there’s gonna be some chatter. The local TV newscast is specifically discouraging people around the mall from “spreading propaganda” (ie live tweeting).

3. … and Kate could just be poking the journalistas who’re getting their lawn mowed by twitter.

4. The Kenyan police feed has some PSAs on it.
   It would be kind of a surreal event if they did live-tweet this in medias res.
   “I’m going to shoot this terrorist-guy and then take a picture of it. Did anyone see what happened on ‘Breaking Bad’ last night?”

7. Here’s my comment placed below the CBC’s story on the Kenyan massacre;
   Why is the media always protecting these radical murdering scum?
   Why would a complete story about the horrific and targeted killing of Christians by radical Islamist’s not contain the words Muslim, Islamist or Jihad?
   Political correctness gone insane?
   Who is the media trying to protect? Certainly not any Christians.
   The comment received 6 ‘likes’ before CBC removed it.

8. Yeah well, I recall how the security people confronting the killers at Breslin dealt with “unauthorized reinforcements”….
   They were quickly and carefully deployed on the perimeter to provide comprehensive, suppressive fire if required….relieving security troops for the assault…..
   Participaction Russian style…
   Russians tend to be practical and pragmatic….

9. Maybe it never occurred to many, but perusing the many pictures, I was impressed by the Kenyan soldiers. Acting as human shields…exposing themselves to scoop up kids out of harms way.
   What appears to a QM nightmare, a multiplicity of different weapons is not really so bad….9mm para, 7.62×52 Nato, 7.62×39 combloc, 5.6 nato…..I’ve seen lots worse….
   The HK G3s, FALs excel at accurate penetration and grenade launching, the AKs close range firepower, HK5s for real close range work and M16s for compromise….a good mix. Commonality has merit as does versatility….
