Perhaps you’re too young to know about this but legendary CBC radio personality Max Ferguson used occasionally to feature a gawd awful lady opera (?) singer who did vanity record albums funded by her affluent husband I believe.
It was uproariously funny and poor Max used to nearly lose it.
    Worth checking out if available.

  2. That was typical BS journalism from NBC. Obama asserting “dominance”? This f**kin’ twink couldn’t assert dominance over his own dog let alone Vladimir Putin.

  3. Neo-AGW Progress Report Presents:
Not a pause. We have “a cooling trend”.
    …-
“Global warming? No, actually we’re cooling, claim scientists”
“A cold Arctic summer has led to a record increase in the ice cap, leading experts to predict a period of global cooling.”
“Professor Anastasios Tsonis, of the University of Wisconsin, said: ‘We are already in a cooling trend, which I think will continue for the next 15 years at least. There is no doubt the warming of the 1980s and 1990s has stopped.”

    Burying Red-Green’s AGWarmist propaganda.
“BBC reported in 2007 global warming would leave Arctic ice-free in summer by 2013”
    …-
“And now it’s global COOLING! Record return of Arctic ice cap as it grows by 60% in a year”
“Almost a million more square miles of ocean covered with ice than in 2012
BBC reported in 2007 global warming would leave Arctic ice-free in summer by 2013
Publication of UN climate change report suggesting global warming caused by humans pushed back to later this month”

  5. Maz,I guess it’s back to Plan “A”, where we cover the Arctic icecap with soot to attract the sun’s rays and thwart disastrous global cooling!

  6. Has the city of Saskatoon turned into one big garbage dump? Take a drive around Circle Drive and there is plastic and papers lying around everywhere you look. It is a city wide disgrace. I telephoned the Mayors office and Murray Totland(top dog at city hall) 2 weeks ago to complain. This has brought no results. Now I know that the litter just didn’t magically get there, it was thrown there by people. It is now on city property and therefore a responsibility of the city to clean it up. Come on Mayor Don Atchison, clean up this filthy city you call Saskatoon Shines.

  7. I love it when lefties start talking of the importance of body language (especially when dissing PMSH).
My reply is: “So then we know what Trudeau thought of the West (in his one finger salute).”

  8. I’m quite familiar with Mrs. Jenkins’ music. In 2009 I posted her…interpretation of “Der Holle Rache”, and in 2010 I posted a song from the otherwise great Wagnerian tenor Lauritz Melchior’s ill-chosen foray into popular music, “Please Don’t Say No” which is from the same compilation album of musical mistakes (about half of the tunes are Jenkins’) called “Murder on the High C’s.” I highly recommend it, it’s on the Naxos label.

  9. “Australian carbon tax to be repealed by incoming conservative government”
“Australia’s new government prepared to take control of the nation Sunday, with Prime Minister-elect Tony Abbott vowing to immediately scrap a hated tax on carbon polluters and implement a controversial plan to stop asylum seekers from reaching the nation’s shores.”

  10. It’s probably nothing.
The Energy Department conceded Friday that the federal government will lose $42 million on a loan to a shuttered Michigan van manufacturer — part of the same program that provided a $529 million loan to an electric car maker that also has gone under.
