  1. Bizarre what people will pay money for. All very new stuff as well. Just curious what a 1950’s vintage GI Joe action figure would go for as did find one in my old toys that my parents carefully put away decades ago.

  2. As a general rule they’re only worth anything if they’re still in the original packaging. I did sell my entire collection first generation Transformers toys a few years back; it only paid for a month’s rent.

  3. Yeah well, folks will collect the darndest things.
Hereabouts there is an element that collects farm toys….and holds toy shows….

  4. Like the Tooner, never had a one of them, so never threw one away. Kinda wish I still had the Daisy BB gun, though.

  5. Inspirational! Perhaps 30 years from now there will be a hefty bounty on the ‘Shiny Pony Bong and Chip Dip’ set that I think I will take to market.

  6. Half of them are Hello Kitty and My Little Pony.
My toy preferences were more akin to things like Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots.

  7. Damn. At one time or another my kids had 8 of them. Sally Ann got some and the rest wound up in the garbage. Hindsight is so 20/20.

  8. That Teddy Ruxpin character was down right creepy, I was more then happy to throw him away…

  9. Awsome weapon it was. If our children were seen playing with it today we could expect social services at our door with a court order demanding custody , as we would be seen as unfit parents. Our heroes of the past could have never imagined what a collection of weenies society has become. I once proudly owned the Johnny seven. Swapped it for a (very weak) pellet gun. Also played with real lawn darts and rode my bike without a helmet, played outside all day without a helicopter parent and even walked through some second hand smoke without worrying. Truly amazing I’m still alive and in good health. Millions didn’t make it but in those days we still ate the weaklings. Now they rule and work for one level of academia/government or another. Who knew ?
