More Pavilions At Folkfest

Ilana Mercer;

Whereas American media have shed mostly darkness on the “apparently” mysterious motivation behind the ruthless, savage, April 15 attack on the Boston Marathon – a Chechen leader offered some valuable insights about these homegrown terrorists:
“[The] Tsarnaevs … were raised in the United States, and their attitudes and beliefs were formed there. It is necessary to seek the roots of this evil in America.”
The man makes a profound point.

  1. Impossible! America is the most diverse and enlightened Country on the planet.
Must be some other reason, maybe they were radicalized by Sarah Palin’s hate speeches.

  2. A lot to that. I wonder what Justin’s response is if it is demonstrated that leftist multicultural supporters – his dad being the most famous – created the environment for the root cause to take hold.

  3. In answer to your rhetorical question, he would likely say ‘prove it.’
Besides, blaming the sons for the sins of his father is more of a collectivist idea, kinda like people today being called racist because somebody not even related to them more than a century ago owned slaves. Since whitey owned the slaves, all whites are guilty.
A true moral code teaches individual responsibility, as opposed to collective guilt … such as the underpinnings of the AGW scam.
In short, Justin should be assessed on his own merits. Otherwise, you fall into the same collective guilt trap that the collectivists promote.

  4. The older brother said he had no American friends and didn’t understand Americans. He went to school in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Having gone to Harvard myself in the 1970’s I can tell you that the people in Cambridge are like the people in Berkeley, California. They are all liberal fascists and hence all have a mental disorder.
So it’s no wonder he didn’t make friends.

  5. Their parents weren’t raised in the USA. Surely they had some kind of influence on their children’s outlook.

  6. Of course the guy in Chechnya is going to deflect the blame for the “root causes” toward the USA.
But, lets take him at his word and stipulate that many of the societal problems in the USA as stated in the article are real. Mind you, quite a few people would assert that they are actually, features.
Regardless, there is one common denominator in those who decide that Americans (and by extension, Canadians) should be slaughtered in their streets. Almost always, the reason they give for their actions is that the USA is killing and torturing their kind.
So, why are our governments allowing them to come here?

  7. I gotta question. What are Progressives and unionists going to do if somebody really does find the “Root Cause” of all this… and it turns out to be welfare?

  8. That’s the Left at work: Demonizing whites makes it easier to kill them, a dream the racist lefties have had for years. May it all come back to them in spades.

  9. “Root cause”: Narcissistic rage.
    A personal, individual, psychological problem.
One that cannot be solved through political action.

  10. “[The] Tsarnaevs … were raised in the United States, and their attitudes and beliefs were formed there. It is necessary to seek the roots of this evil in America.”
This from someone whose culture/religion prescribes stoning a woman for being raped.
    Not a surprise.
It is an outrage that knowing this, our government allows these people to come here.
