Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“We” are being bullied by “attack” ads? Who is the “we”?
What an absolute maroon.
“Mommy column”, I like that… cause it’s so true.
The writer needs kleenex, and kneepads.
The CPC ads worked because they were made from video of what their opponent actually said. Hero Trudeau made comments on camera stating he puts Quebec above Canada.
Now that resonates with common voters because it’s Trudeau’s own words. Suck it up MSM.
Let me guess.
If I went searching for Leger’s public statement that the “troops on our streets” ads were nothing but bullying, I’d have a hard time finding it, right?
Yes indeed, the mommy, we-love-Trudeau columns are springing up like dandelions. Here’s another one. This is just perfect for leftie teachers to use in the classroom to brainwash young minds:
http://globalnews.ca/news/479308/20-fun-facts-about-justin-trudeau/
The Pansy Left media.
In our streets.
Running interference for their boy-toy Justine Trudeau.
I’m not making this up.
‘For Justin Trudeau, it’s the risk on which “I’m gambling my entire career.”’
Um….
Liberal Brian Gallant wants to “make sure that politics is about inclusivity, it’s about accountability, it’s about civility, less patronage. . . .Politicians attempting to rise above the fray are rare these days…there are members of other parties and millions of ordinary Canadians who are waiting for someone, anyone, to take the high road in politics.
Some of this crap just has to be comedy.
Pierre’s Pup regularly absents himself from Parliament so that he can go on the road and collect $15,000 speaking fees from publily-funded institutions.
This is “the high road” ordinary Canadians have been pining for?
‘For Justin Trudeau, it’s the risk on which “I’m gambl*ng my entire career.”’
Um….
Long Game. Just like Dion and Iggy the ads try to highight some fundamental truth about the guy. It either is true or it isnt. In both Dion’s and Iggy’s case they showed how true the ads were through their own actions over time.
It is up to Justin and Justin alone to avoid making the ads true. Right now he isnt doing a very good job of wearing the suit that the conservatives have fashioned for him.
We will see.
Harper ended avoiding it once he got in power. They tried the scary and inexperienced thing on him as well. That hasnt worked outside of the partisans. Harper now has a positive experience with Canadians and, outside of partisans, most dont consider him incompetent or inexperienced.
Bully, well thats a different narrative. How much that matters is another question. And one where Harper wears the suit the Liberals and NDP have made for him….but as I said it remaisn to be seen how much that matters. Usually only when dealing with non standard oppoenents does that come into play. Anyone else in the political arena is generally fair game.
Cyber Bully…pshaw…that matters to my 12 year old not to an adult.
I found the Conservative ad kind of “Meh”.
The perfect Conservative attack ad has already been created by the the french arm of the CBC and it is really good. Never in the whole history of the CBC have taxpayer dollars been better spent than for this. All the Conservatives need to do is translate it to English and we are all set.

This headline is evidence of the left’s efforts to make their Anti-Bullying campaign an attempt to Bully right thinking people. Censorship by another means.
“Political parties know that attack ads work best among the politically less aware and less engaged members of society.”
Funny — those would be the same people who elected the current President of the US.
The manager for the Rolling Stones called. Keith Richards says “don’t blame me!”, apparently.
Odd how it is bullying or reprehensible when attack adds show their Liberal “star” for what his represents ( if anyone can actually find it) , but are ok like the Liberal 2006 attack ad about “Soldiers in the Streets”.
What, we are just supposed to ignore the fact that he’s a frilly nancy-pants dilettante?
Is that really Justine Hairdoo, Daniel? If so…words fail, but it is pathetically funny.
The TrueDopians (Justine Turdo (TrueDope’s) team) are trying to employ the BroncO Bama model of getting elected.
Notice, during the Leadership campaign no competitors were given voice to maul the TrueDope. Then as now, the LSM (Lame Stream Media) is gloves off any negative message. Anyone that does point out the TDope’s misgivings will be whipped into shape. They will come back with a glowing report after their negative report or their TrueDopey access will be denied. SUN news for example.
How long until PW gets yanked back into line for his oblique history lessons?
Hilarious. We need it translated to English.
The Conservatives plan to cut funding to abortion clinics to buy aircraft carriers, thus forcing women into back alleys where they are murdered with an unregistered handgun, while soldiers in our streets ignore the whole thing, having to check with central command.
Is that bullying, we’re not sure, they’re not saying.
IOW, comme d’habitude, get over it.
maybe the liberals should have erected….erm, elected a real leader, instead of a clown!!!!
Hilarious. We need it translated to English.
This is response to the Youtube video linked by Daniel.
This is the master debating tactic of the left. Shut down discussion by calling the opposition bullies.
When did sissy become mainstream? To the ladies out there, please help me out….is the Marlboro man still a desirable guy, or is being a crybaby urban hipster what it takes to float your boats nowadays?
Perhaps I don’t want to know that answer.
So “soldiers in the streets – with guns” isn’t an attack ad while attacking the Knob with his own words is an attack ad. Liberal BS!
The Liberals won’t do attack ads because nobody will donate any money to them. Liberal fundraising consists of borrowing money and not paying it back. Apparently this has no consequences for the Liberal Party nor do Liberal robo-calls.
If pointing out that JT is a – how did Soccermom put it? oh yes – frilly nancy-pants dilettante – is bullying, then bullying is another word that has lost all meaning.
Metro-sexual gender immaturity.
Justin had better hope the CPC does not turn up the decimals on their attack ads.
JT best file “A Hurt Feelings Report”.
Yeah, Frilly Boy is so manly that I have to shut the TV off ever time his smarmy face is on there. His voice is even worse, though.
Well, as for the Tories’ “cyber-bullying”, nothing says “effective” like whiny, hand-wringing grovelling of the sort offered up by Ms. Leger:
“Trudeau and Gallant both happen to be Liberals, but there are members of other parties and millions of ordinary Canadians who are waiting for someone, anyone, to take the high road in politics. They are heartsick at what is going on and wish that public affairs could be practised without so much psychological violence.”
Here’s an idea from this particular “ordinary Canadian” about the “high road in politics”: quit lying to get back into office so that you can steal our money. Oh, say, where are the missing millions from the Sponsorship scandal, anyway?
Since, apparently, for Ms. Leger and his ilk, actual premeditated indiscriminate mass murder and attempted mass murder (Boston) seem a bit interpretive and epistemologically uncertain, I’m going to go right out on a limb right now and say that “psychological violence” is in the eye of the beholder, too: and in the eye of this particular “ordinary Canadian”, I’d venture that if the media wasn’t so biased in favour of one particular viewpoint or set of viewpoints, “attack” ads (I call them “truth” ads) wouldn’t really be necessary, would they?
Beyond that, as to the Liberals claiming that the Tory ads have caused them to raise a whopping $366,000 (no doubt august from their point of view, given their legendary track record of private, non-publicly subsidized “fundraising”), I’d be curious to know how much the Conservatives have raised by comparison. In this regard, I’d point out that the week in the immediate aftermath of a leadership “process” (can’t really call it a convention, despite their best efforts to position it as such) is prime fundraising time. So, call me crazy, but I have an inkling that were being subjected, yet again, to yet more Liberal dissembling.
From the standpoint of Canadian history, it has been said that the Riel Rebellion, which was driven, at least in part, by the CPR, proved Macdonald’s case for the railway — evidently, we needed a transportation system to get soldiers from, er, Ontario to quell the Rebellion: “root causes” has certainly proven Stephen Harper’s case for the “attack” ads.
Note to Liberals: this is not an episode of “Glee”.
“Over the coming days” it would be necessary to “look at root causes.” “We don’t know if it was conservatism, or a hidden agenda, or stolen adscam money — all those questions. But there is no question that this happened because of someone who feels completely excluded, someone who feels completely at war with Canadian values, at war with Liberals.”
Trudeau finished by saying that it was important not to “marginalize people even further who already feel like they are enemies of Liberals rather than people who have hope for the future.”
C’mon media, before you write about back firing, and attack ads, shouldn’t we examine the Liberal Party with an eye to discovering the root causes of Conservative ads?
The media party is right.
Asking them to consider the facts available and make a conclusion, is bullying them.
Asking the useless and clueless to think?
That’s sardonic,malicious cruelty.
There will be endless Human Rights Tribunal, once an aggressor (conservative target) is identified.
As for the whimpering liberal victims,I agree you are the victims here.
Of your own inadequacies.
That’s funny because his father was the biggest ‘bully’ around at the time.
The MSM in this country have all the credibility of Bieber groupies however remember most of the Bieber groupies will eventually grow up
“make sure that politics is about inclusivity
Which really means exclusivity. They will include anyone who agrees with them while trashing anyone who has a mind of their own. Inclusiveness is only for the hive mind collectivists. If you leave the Dogma in just one variance ,you become persona none grata real fast. The left despises fee thought, let alone individuals with ideas. All others are bigots, haters, or racists, unless grounded in the inclusiveness of Marxist group think.
This is the first example of the widespread “anti bullying” campaign which seems to be designed to make out anyone who disagrees with the moonbats a “bully”. I’ve gotten a few people pissed off when I tell them that high school anti-bullying campaigns are absolute BS and that the only way to deal with a bully is to pound the crap out of them. Worked for me and would give the “bullied” kids nowadays some martial arts skills and teach them to solve their own problems instead of running to the nearest authority figure for protection.
With “cyber bullying”, I tell kids to stop wasting time on facebook where anything stupid you post will be around to haunt you for the remainder of your life (barring of course a Nork EMP attack) and engage in normal human interactions. And, BTW, learn some martial arts and pound the crap out of a few people who have been “bullying” you. Again, seems to be shocking to parents when I tell them their kid doesn’t need therapy – just needs to learn how to survive in the real world. Traumatic events are normal and what is abnormal are the people who can’t handle the trivial “trauma” that happens in the current feminized society.
This article is a new low in the effeminate metrosexual weltanschauung of the moonbats and it makes me want to pound the crap out of a few of them just to give them a taste of reality therapy. The Libertarian side of me won’t let me do that unless they throw the first punch – very unlikely from an emasculated “male” who can be put into a state of catatonia just by hearing words that “he” doesn’t agree with. Maybe I’ll just kick over a few local NDP signs instead to take out my frustrations with the increasing moonbattery present in Canada.

Leger is just another ‘pundit’ that wishes he was Sophie.
Picked up the Probe and Fail at the dentist’s today. Arts and Life, I think it was, has a beefcake — well, sort-of — photo of young Justin at Taylor-Staten Camp Ahmek, preferred summer getaway for children of the rich and famous, standing on the deck of a sailboat wearing just a bathing suit, a tan, a pair of shades, and his usual stunned look.
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/exclusive-photo-justin-trudeau-in-his-days-as-camp-counsellor/article11443385/
The accompanying article was about how going to camp builds leadership skills: so whoopee for Justin. Deb Gray’s comment pointed out that going from being a camp counsellor to being Prime Minister is a stretch. Say it like it is Ms. Gray!
It seems we’ve moved rapidly from attempting to combat real bullying, one person actively physically and verbally accosting another, to redefining “bullying” to mean the expression of nearly any opposing position or criticism beyond a meek “I disagree”.
A great many of those in positions of authority in this country are quite effectively preparing much of our citizenry for the overthrow being prepared by certain groups currently operating in the Middle East, Europe and South Asia. David Warren’s latest, ‘Not Why But How’, describes it rather well.

Waaaaaaaaa! They talked mean to me Mommie corp! Frik, this Laurentian echo chamber press isn’t even fit to house train a puppy with any more.
Black Mamba is on a ROLL!
I’m dying to see what Shiny Pony does with his hair for the Al Qaeda thing presser today. It’ll be some serious posing and pouting into the camera for real! Work that drama teacher thang, Shiny!
All parties play that game. The only difference between Liberal and Conservative attack ads are that Conservatives have to pay for theirs while the Liberals get them free daily from the likes of the CBC.

Dan Leger has to think of something to catch someone’s attention. Imagine, being stuck as editor of a dying family paper down here at the end of the earth. Dan thinks that he could’a been a contender. He could’a been somebody instead of a bum, which is what he is.
This has to be the most pathetic, over-the-top attempt to connect some silly ads about a silly no-longer-young man to a serious social problem.
Has a nation regressed to the level of eight years olds where everything is bullying and mean and expecting the “cool” kid with a rich dad to man up is unbelievable?
Yes, I’m afraid so.
“Mi-iss, so and so’s bullying me.”
“Why, what did they say/do?”
“They don’t want to play with me.”
“That’s not bullying. They don’t have to play with you. You can’t make someone play with you. Is there anyone else you can play with?”
All these anti-bullying campaigns do is make kids think that every desire thwarted by someone else is bullying. It’s a dangerous game.
A little bullying could build Justin’s character which, up to now, hasn’t had much to build it. The guy’s a wimp. Sorry, Justin, I hate to have to break it to you that you’re a wimp, but maybe if you stand up — I mean really stand up — to people who find you repugnant, maybe if you prove to Canadians that you are a man of substance, you’ll finally understand that the normal give and take of a political campaign isn’t bullying.
