  1. Perhaps, you should give JT a root canal; as your statement is unintelligible.
The comic lampoon of JT is hilarious, and shows him to be an insensitive twit; talking about ‘root causes’ and the bodies aren’t even cold yet.
On the other hand maybe JT should stick to flossing his teeth, and combing his hair as those would be more worthy pursuits, than his terrorism commentary.

  2. So it’s premeditated mass murder and attempted mass murder. And we need to get about finding the “root causes” in order to put that, er, “crime” in better perspective, so that we might make a more “informed” judgment about it? Have I got that right?
Hmmm… That doesn’t much sound like any one of “da Canadian walues” that I know about. If it were, by that standard, and since Paul Bernardo and Karla Holmolka killed Karla’s sister, Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French (the same number of people, apparently, as were killed by the Boston Marathon Bomber(s)), Mr. Trudeau, Jr. should be in favour of “understanding” for those two characters, as well, shouldn’t he? That’s a fairly straight-forward comparison as it stands, but we could also consider the likelihood that both sets of perps would have killed more people if they could have, couldn’t we?
Good luck with all that, Justin!

  3. I fail to see how these Saudi “activists” are in any way “disadvantaged”,they all come from wealthy families,Bin Laden’s family are billionaires.
Perhaps they are “disadvantaged” in the male equipment department. That would explain what Justin meant by “root cause”.

  4. Given his sensitivity towards the perpetrators of crime JT should spend time with hardcore criminals in jail where he can listen to them and get to the “root cause” of their problems. I am sure he would be happy to share a cell with a hardened criminal for a month or two, as part of “putting crime in a better perspective and making a more informed judgement”.

  5. It’s great to see “root causes” getting the thrashing it deserves. It’s somewhat forgivable among the under-30 campus crowd, less so for a potential PM. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. The next election is years off and it would be better to see The Pony annihilated when it counts. If he overcomes his arrogance, controls his spastic temperament and studies hard, Harper could be in trouble.

  6. Clement was kind.
Recall that this is the little ponce who cried like a heart-broken Arab widow at his papa’s consignment below, never mind that the old beggar had long outlived his welcome. (To say Justin cried like a little girl would be an insult to his half-sister, whom someone had taught in advance how to comport herself in public.) If this isn’t proof that it was all an act and Justin never actually had a heart to break, I don’t know what could be. “Je t’aime, papa?” If he knows what love is, beyond what possesses any number of alleycats to cheerfully bend over the moment he comes near them, I’m the king of Siam.
    Then again, neither did papa.
God help me, we’d have been spared a great deal if his sire had left off from smacking around the plain people of English Canada (never mind Justin’s dam) and taken a few minutes to teach the little blackguard that there are times when nobody is interested in hearing a single word coming out of the mouth of Justin Trudeau.
As it is, Justin will, sooner or later, get to see with his own eyes the root cause of terrorism when he goes to join his father below. The only reason not to tell him to go there post-haste is that he’s halfway there already.

  7. It is obvious that ‘i’ stands for idiot. I recall years ago, a prison warden describing his inmate population as being “one, big, swirling sexual mess” and I suspect he knew what he was talking about. In that case, we think that JT should spend a night in each of their cells, discussing the sexual anguish that they all experience. Sexuality is a strong impulse, and is essential to the continuation of mankind, but without limits and boundaries, it can be the root of a lot of problems.

  8. Glen, could be cheap cooking wine. Liberal’s always blame our moral society for the evil criminals commit.

  9. Perfect. Clements gets it. Too bad Justin’s dumber than a bag of hammers — with apologies to hammers, which are actually quite useful.

  10. The FBI have released photos of two suspects.
There goes Justin theory about being ‘excluded’. Maybe they are friends, maybe they belong to a “church” group that likes blowing things up to make a point.
    Could be,i don’t know.
BTW, Justin’s mom did Ted Kennedy amongst others, and was tossed out on the street by Justin’s papa, who then fathered one of the other Liberal leadership candidates. Papa Trudeau took the kids and got the courts to agree to NO spousal support. She lost everything at once. That is sad. I do hope that Justin’s wife has some pre-nup protection against Junior.

  11. Kate,
As someone said (it’s not original but very apropos)……”He’s got his daddy’s name and his mommy’s brain”. ‘NUFF SAID.

  12. I obviously struck similar feelings in a post on Trudeau in the NP where some 426 poster agreed with me on his pathetic response on the Boston attack.
“Now let me get this straight, when the perpetrators of this heinous crime are caught a true liberal like so many of the posters on this site would ask the question “Where do those tensions come from? We don’t want you feeling like you are an enemy of society and marginalizing you.”
Perhaps the question could be asked by those maimed by the bombs so they could understand where this hostility came from and maybe ease their pain a little.”

  13. I always like to tell folks: “If Justin Trudeau is qualified to be PM, Sarah Palin was 10x more qualified, she was a Mayor and a Governor. What’s JT done again?”

  14. The young Mr Trudeau went through the teacher education program at the University of British Columbia. That, in and of itself, may explain a great deal of the clap-trap we will hear from him.

  15. Justin has re-tweeted;
” Justin Trudeau, MP ‏@JustinTrudeau 5h RT @gmbutts: If you want the truth about JT’s Boston tragedy remarks (ie you’re not in the #CPC) @aaronwherry has it. http://bit.ly/11xzDla
I went to the Maclean’s article and much to my surprise the article does not mention the lines that Justin is taking flak for saying. Aaron prances around the remarks, but does not print them. He does put up 4 or 5 comments from Justin, but the “completely excluded” part can only be found by following the CBC link.
I would have pointed out that oversight in the comments there, but it appears that I am not welcome at Maclean’s any more,c’est la vie.

  16. wallyj, shades of MSNBC. Maclean’s is now just a propaganda rag for the left.

  17. Well, if Gerald wants to, you know, play that game, I might — might — be willing to hand-deliver your printable and repeatable complaints directly to Mr. Mansbridge’s letterbox, considering that the latter gentleman lives just a very few short metres from my home.
I’m not at all interested in making my neighbour’s life miserable, or anything, but I’m equally not at ease with whitewash, either.

  18. I discovered years ago that Aaron Wherry writes only leftist drivel to support either the Liberals or NDP, and that is why I did not renew my Maclean’s subscription.
The cartoon pegs the vacuous empty suit very well.

  19. No one here really expects much from this unaccomplished poofy-haired git. The comment, however disgraceful, is not really unexpected from a guy who thinks calling female mutilation barbaric is going too far. But what of the people who vote for someone like Trudeau? Let’s ask them what they would think if the Boston culprits were really white rich boys like Justin. Should we strive to understand them? Why not forgive ALL acts of terrorism and those who commit them? If being angry can be excused, who cares if the IRA or al Qaeda blow things up? They’re upset. Let’s coddle them until they feel better. How does that sound to the weak of brain and heavy of breath?
This is why anyone who fawns over Trudeau or Obama should publicly experience maximum loss of dignity every time they express their undying love for these complete @$$-clowns.

  20. The phrase most often associated with terrorists is “narcissistic rage”. In other words, a person who has an overblown sense of his own worth and who is angry, often at others’ failure to recognize his special nature, is the most likely to become a terrorist.
That, plus the adoption of a culture that rejects the fundamental principle of a civilized society, namely that no person has the right to initiate the use of force or fraud on any other person, may be put forward as the likely “root cause”.
If there is poverty involved in the production of terrorists, it’s emotional poverty, not material.

  21. Macleans is nothing but a rag for the media party, as Ezera calls them.
Ironically when the Western Standard went out of print, I was supplied with Macleans as a substitute for the duration of that subscription.
I did not renew, nausea I can get by tuning in to CBC.
Justin will offer us a few years of entertainment, as long as he holds the Libtards together the better for conservative Canadians.
Are we sure that he was not pushed to prominence by secretive conservative forces, to enable the hidden agenda?
All sarcasm aside, this will be the excuse from the fawning media when they realize how inept Justin is.
That probably should be if not when.
