  1. Silence, as they say, is acceptance. You really can understand why the media and other pro-abortion champions are in such a pickle. They know that, if reported, people will begin to realize that there is no fundamental difference between the born babies Gosnell butchered and the ones in the womb seconds before birth that it’s still perfectly legal to abort simply for being “unwanted.”
    Add to it information in the grand jury reports that Gosnell treated white patients better than minority women (as in the white women got the clean waiting room, he administered sedatives, etc while minority women were left in filth and tended to by other staffers) and this *should* be a case the media is all over — racism, medical malpractice, dead children (how breathlessly do they report on “racial slurs” spray painted on some college professor’s car…and then scurry away when the supposed “hate crime” was really perpetuated by aid professor?). For five months, we’ve heard nothing but how we need to “reform” gun control to save “one life”…shouldn’t the Gosnell case be cause to reform abortion laws? Thanks to pro-abortion politics, his clinic went unsupervised for nearly two decades. Safe, legal, rare my a$$.
    But the news is only starting to trickle out these reports because people have been hammering them for coverage via social media. They have to tread lightly, however, the whole house of cards they’ve built to justify their unmitigated love of abortion could very well collapse because of Kermit Gosnell’s evil and greed. (And I’m okay with that).

  5. It is hard to recognize evil, when you are evil, and obviously in a way the media is aiding and abbetting this crime all over the country, by not reporting on it. Paying one cent for any of the so called MSM medias drivel coverage nonstop of the Kardashians and Lowhans cup sizes, is one cent to much. The people who infest these NBC CBS CBC CTV Globe USA today outhouses of “news” are the lowest of the low, explains their infatuation with Lowhan I guess.

  6. Did you ever wonder how a sane country like Germany became enthralled with the likes of the Nazis. Leftist historians have looked, and what they discovered looking into that mirror was their own reflection. This denial is on full display again with this trial, when the ideology they have been nurtured with since childhood crashes into the brick wall of morality and human decency. They react the same way the Germans of the 30’s did, they do nothing. Only the independent free thinkers speak out, like in Germany of the 30’s and in this generation. I don’t have to point out the obvious which side of the political spectrum promotes independence and which one promotes the collective.

    Global News: 2 results (December 2011, March 2013)
    CBC: 1 result (from January 2011, when Gosnell was first charged)
    Toronto Star: same as CBC
    CTV News: same as CBC
    Globe and Mail: 0 results
    Shame on them for their silence.

  9. Were Gosnell in Canada instead of the US, nothing he did would be illegal if he made a slight change in his technique: simply leave one little foot inside the mother, snip the spinal cord, then pull the foot out. Under existing Canadian law this would be entirely legal.
    The fact that millions upon millions of people recoil in horror at acts that are basically legal in Canada means that we have VERY little basis on which to criticize the barbaric practises of the Islamists we’re fighting in Asia. We’re equally depraved, but with a veneer of technocratic “civilization” draped over the depravity.

    The Grand Jury report on Kermitt Gosnell, I think it’s important to know what sort of thing is being tried at this trial, and what sort of thing the majority of media is turning away from, ignoring or accepting, with some commenting that it’s a “local story”.   13. There isn’t really “a link”. Which is the problem. Some blog coverage, some coverage on FOX media, but for someone who has murdered more children than the Sandy Hook shooting, the media has really dropped the ball here.
    Folks seem to like video though, so here’s some video, only 21 minutes… At 7.50 in the video, the Assistant District Attorney describes one of the workers in the clinic as “playing with it” prior to Kermitt Gosnell “snipping it”, meaning, snipping the spinal cord.

    It is exactly how the Joseph Goebbels media worked!!
    We are in a hep of trouble if this doesn’t end soon.
    too many brainless people still believe the MSM is the only source of “news”.

    And about two decades looking the other way, with not one government inspection of the ‘facility’/abattoir.
    This is the abortion advocates nightmare scenario helped along by silence, complicity, and quiet approval.
    Notably, a colossal failure of the old canard “safe, legal and rare”; whereas here we have ‘unsafe, illegal and commonplace’.
    By any measure, this is not what anybody can justify as being consonant with what commonly passes as ‘civilization’. If the media aren’t ashamed of their silence, they should be.
    I wouldn’t trust this vipers nest to wash a dirty diaper…but they can white wash a butcher by media silence.
    Of course to be ‘moral and intellectual superior’ you actually have to have morals and an intellect; which in this story are completely vacant.

  17. The MSM’s silence on this topic in light of the Newtown coverage is going to reverberate across this continent thanks to the blog community. The Harper government has sat at the “Poker” table quietly nursing the moral authority of a “Royal Flush”. He will not allow discussion on abortion to imperil his government until public moral outrage will force it. Then he can play his cards and prove to the Low Intelligence Voters that once again he has been right all along. This will be a major plank in the next election and the Liberals and Democrats know this. They and their cohorts in the MSM will do everything in their power to keep the lid on this issue. Thankfully the internet and blogs like Kate’s are getting the truth out, but be aware that the progressives will try to shut down the internet on grounds of free speech.

The Dr. Gosnell murder trial is something the MSM is actively concealing because it is fully aware that what Gosnell did moves the debate of Pro Choice versus Pro Life from something as plain as “when is it a baby or a foetus” to something much more troublesome for the pro abortionist to defend: establishing person-hood. The question of when a human being becomes a person, which is very easy to answer and defend on the Pro Life side of the debate, becomes ugly and dark for the pro abortion side because it demands them to answer exactly when a human being becomes a viable individual and by extension then forces them to consider when a human being stops being a viable person. The argument of defining person-hood puts the pro abortionist in the indefensible position that their way of thinking has lead in the past to the egregious periods of euthanasia and forced sterilization mentioned in the comments here. To the liberal pro baby killer it’s even when the child has been born that it still has not yet attained person-hood as we have seen in that sick video of the Florida Planned Parenthood representative defending the doctor/parent choice to kill a live infant (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uax-FrhOioY). The MSM is fully aware that the pro abortion’s side regarding person-hood is ugly and indefensible and does not dare shine a light upon it.

  26. Well now. It says here Gosnell may be the most successful serial killer in the history of the world.
    No indeed. A better candidate for that dubious honour would be our own Henry Morgentaler, OC. Gosnell at least has a better chance than even of being sent to prison and put out of business for good. Morgentaler was rewarded for helping Montreal alleycats do away with their “problems” before their fathers and husbands found out with a medal from the Queen (on the inexcusably bad advice of her Canadian ministers). He can rest assured that neither he nor any of the “clients” he helped butcher their children in cold blood will ever answer for their crimes in this world. If that’s not the perfect crime, I don’t know what is.
    Gosnell’s real crime, as far as the abortionists are concerned, is showing up abortionists as the monsters they are and doing irreparable damage to their cause. That’s why even they won’t defend him. Thanks to Gosnell it’s going to get harder to have their mistresses “get rid of it” than to give them $500. They’re determined to make him pay for ruining their fun.

  27. I suspect this Gosnell matter is not unique…by a country mile. The MSM also have realized this.
    Problem for the left/donkeys.is they have too much invetment in this agenda….they know they will be implicated…..
    I had the sad experience to see a young woman bleed to death as a result of a “back-alley” abortion that went badly…this affected my view on abortion on demand….now I dunno…I jus’ dunno….but I am evolving….

  28. Dick, forget the $500. One news story mentioned a $2,500 fee paid up front.
    To make we Canadians feel even sicker, we are forced to pay for such things through our tax paid universal ‘health care’. Our providers may be a lot more sanitary, but these procedures are performed here as well. That’s why we need at least a minimal law.

    Gosnell is not atypical. His case has opened a can of worms that the popular press with their sudden and current mea culpa coverage cannot close.

  32. I find those empty benches somewhat symbolic, seeing as most of the Liberal Media are devotees of President Empty Chair. (Who, perhaps not coincidentally, was against the Born Alive bill.)
