  7. The worst thing about this Presidency is the unleashing of the most infantile and vocal proponents of the Left.
    There is a rational argument to be made for collectivism. It isn’t very convincing, but at least it’s rational.
    These guys aren’t interested in any of that. It’s “Global warming/gay marriage/ free abortions/anti-war/Obama worship or you’re an asshole.”
    The upside is that little by little it’s hollowness is becoming plain for all to see.

  8. Obama is Nixon without Nixon’s conscience. Nixon at least had the decency to resign. The USA did buy “The Used Car From This Man”. And we are seeing the results. NDAA, Executive Murder Lists, Debauchery of the currency etc.

    When I heard that Dr. Ben Carson had been asked repeatedly by the W.H. to submit his speech before the famous prayer breakfast knockdown of Obama’s policies, I knew everyone would have to cover themselves not to be Breitbarted.

    I remember when the NDP and Bob Rae took over Ontario. I was amazed at how many hateful people crawled out of the shadows and were given goverment jobs and lots of air time to vent their twisted version of life. That really opened my eyes which is why I’m not evenly remotely surprised by what the Dem’s are doing and saying right now.

    Allowing these people to feel safe, come out and say what they really believe is priceless.

    As the “journalists” are finding out, the left eat their own.
    While many see the media as willing sycophants, this administration oozes raw contempt for their lapdogs.
    I wonder how long it takes these media majors and liberal arts graduates to look up”Useful Idiot” and the historic fate of such?

    Regarding old journalists, they are apparently too obtuse to know better.
    It matters not, Journalism as profession is dead! Soon there will be veeerrrrryyy few paying jobs in journalism; and those jobs will be low paying, and for sycophants only. In the near future, the vast majority of “journalists” and grads will be taking your order at McDics. The market cares not for their mindless worship.JMO

  21. These developments should surprise nobody. The leftist groupies believe Obama is above criticism, the smartest president ever for no other reason than his solution to any issue/problem is to throw others’ borrowed money at it and increase the size of government/bureaucracy.
    This in spite of clear evidence of the failure of this approach. How does an individual or an economy borrow itself into prosperity? Well, by pretending their policies work, of course. 7.9% employment is “good,” a federal debt of over $20 trillion by 2016 is “good,” splitting America down the middle with divisive policies is “good.” Anything else is well, “bad” and must be stopped, at all costs. This is the subprime government and the result will be the same – they will crash and burn; but take heart leftists everywhere, somebody else will always be to blame – perhaps jail time for interrupting the revolution.
    When the obvious folly of their approach is mentioned, even in the tamest terms such as we’ve seen so far – they and their minions (aka useful idiots) go nuts, without the slightest attempt to rebut the argument. Emotional name calling and sliming is the modus operandi.
    How are these people going to act when the US economy truly tanks later in the Obama administration? Well, think of what a Chicago styled Alinskyite would do – emotional, vile attacks where the respondent must be nice lest they be further slimed.
    This government doesn’t live in reality, it sets up false narratives constantly (we cut $2.5 billion from the deficit, Bush caused the recession etc) which are indefensible, so their only choice when faced with criticism and rebuttal is to go to war and shoot the messenger. Remember, as Bob Woodward knows, you’ve been warned.

  22. This is just the start. Remember, these way left of center folks are cast in the mold that kills their own people, “for the good of the state” don’cha’no. Every genocide of any size has been by the left, and always “for the good of thestate”. Soon it will be no hostile questions or articles, “for the good of the state” and if you don’t like it they have 1.5 billion rounds of .40 & 9mm and are buying armoured personnel carriers, some of which will have a chain gun mounted at the top hatch. This ain’t your daddy’s police force I can tell you that.

  27. I don’t think the Left Wing Useful Idiots or the 47% have grasped yet that Obama is building the pens for them. He has ordered 1.5 Billions rounds of Dum/Dum ammo for DHS, now 2100 Light Armoured Tanks for the Police and DHS, plus 30,000 Surveilance Drones for domestic use, that can tell if a person at night is armed, it can monitor and collect all cell phone transmission and track all GPS. With his signing of the NDAA into law by Executive Order, any US citizen can be held indefinately with out trial and held secretly without disclosure even to family.     Now, it could be that The One is planning to try and cow the entire populace of the USA with this new DHS army of his. But really? They need more guys and more guns if they’re going to try that with any hope of success.
    However with the manpower and equipment they presently have, they could mount a fairly decent response if Something Might Happen in a large city back East. Like… oh lets say maybe all the welfare checks bounced in Chicago, just ferinstance. They’d be all set for something like that.

  31. Phantom, I find it amazing, that the discussion is not at a whole higher level. Obama and his thugs will kick the crap out of anyone that questions him and his plans. The CBC etc, will never ask any questions about the 1.6B rounds of ammo, the 2100 Light Armoured Tanks that can withstand an IED for use in the USA, the NDAA, and suspension of Habeus Corpus, the 30,000 Drones, the ExtraJudicial Killings, the 6Trillion in Debt he has wracked up and still printing, the sudden requirement that all precious metal sales be recorded, etc etc etc. The fact that the private citizens are arming at an incredible rate is astonishing. I relatives down there and even they are stunned. It will be very very ugly when the hammer falls. Add in that he will be able to stack the Supreme Court this term. I see big big problems rapidly approaching.

    I agree, it is pretty amazing. But that’s what “total control of the media” looks like, isn’t it? If it wasn’t for blogs, none of us would know jack about this. Like I said on the Cronkeit thread, its hard to realize how much of what you “know” about your country and the world is total horesh1t the media has fed you for forty or sixty years so that you’ll shut the hell up and pay your taxes like a good boy.
