Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Gotta love Montebourg’s comments reported in Reuters. The little twerp seems unaware that Taylor is the one with the money, not him. And Taylor is simply saying loud and clear, “I’m not investing in your left-wing political rathole and putting MY money not YOURS at risk.”
Montebourg makes much of Michelin, but conveniently doesn’t mention that all of Michelin’s new production is outside Europe. But then the strong suit of Communists like Hollande and his ministers is theft, not facts.
As the French Leftists would say, “Who are you to judge?!”
LOL
If the factory is such a great deal, they should be lining up to invest.
So, Where are the French Investors?
Running for the exits. They are soon to be Belgian, English, and non-European Enterpreneurs and Investors as soon as they can renounce their French citizenship.
France is to productivity as Obamanomics is to having a chance in hell of being successful.
French are some of the most productive people on earth.

you can prove anything if you only use some anecdotal incident.
It’s better stated as: allez vous forniquer
(sigh) trust QNDP to miss the point. This isn’t about productivity; it’s about wealth being appropriated by governments and union entitlement.
As an industrial engineer, specializing in productivity, I can say from personnal observation in France that the French worker does not work hard nor with any interest in productivity. You can quote any statistic you want, I have seen the facts, on the factory floor. I also took a very excellent statistics ( aka sadistics) course on how numbers can be manipulated. ( What numbers do you want? )
I’ll back denis. When I worked in France about a decade ago, it was well-known that the French contractors & plant personnel were the laziest buggers on the project. If you wanted anything done, you got the North Americans or the Dutch to do it (or a Scot, if you could understand him! 😉 ). I saw it myself every week: the French would show up to work about 10am Monday, leave every day at 4pm sharp, except for Friday when they buggered off at noon. Never once did they work a weekend. The North Americans & Dutch were there as long as it took to get the work done.
I’d never work there again nor encourage anyone to do so, unless you can get some Dutchmen in on the job.
