Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“Can I lick your b@g now, Mr. President?”
“The issues are different, it was civil war and slavery” Obama
No they aren’t Mr. President!
Slaves to the bankstas, class war.
These are your Lincoln moments, and some of the States are on the verge of seceding and undoing the treason which Lincoln did to the constitution. You, Mr. President, are also trampling the Constitution just like your hero.
Obamba and the Liberal establishment have been building Obamba into the second coming of Lincoln since 2009. He was the former president Obamba “most identified with” when asked.
*Neglecting of course to mention that although Lincoln was against slavery he made no bones in several public speeches about having no use for black people and that he believed the black and white could not live peacefully together. (Speeches easily searchable online). – The point is – this is an odd character association for America’s first Affirmative Action black president.
The REAL reason for the lefts obsession with Obamba’s Lincoln persona is about imposing non congressional dictatorial power against the American people by imposing martial law and suspending habeas corpus as Lincoln did as needed.
First you accept the liberal characterization and then acceptance of everything else follows, it worked for Lincoln right?
do any of these interviewers ever listen to themselves? if they do they must be blushing with embarrassment at their own stupidity.
More like a Pinto moment.
Nope!! They swell with pride for what you and I would find an embarrassment.
Obama walked out of there so obviously it wasn’t his ‘Lincoln moment’. (Not advocating anything, just saying.)
Indeed Knight. Lincoln’s plan was to ship all the Negroes off to Panama. The Civil War broke out and many
of the Negroes fought for the Union. In appreciation of that, Lincoln decided to just emancipate them.
It’s too bad that he had a change of heart. Had he followed up on his origional plan, 150 years of grief could have been avoided and Obama would never have been heard of.
Obumbles makes and walks on his own puddle….the second cuming of jezus, or just that he’s a lite weight????
Naw, it’s just a continual colon moment… or movement as he continuously uses page after page of the constitution to… well you know.
Gregory is a moron.
Tell me what is the first thing that springs to mind at the suggestion that Obama has “a Lincoln moment.”
awwww, jinx! Enkidu beat me to it and I missed it, my bad.
He, Lincoln “freed” the slaves as a mere by product or story line to get the Northern Mamma’s give up her men and enslaved the states to the whims of washington.
I’d say slavery won out, wouldn’t you?
It’s mildly ironic that Mr. Obama mentions Churchill, and tries a couple of times to get the quote right (pretty close, admittedly, but not crisp). One recalls that Obama returned the bust of Churchill in the Oval Office to the British Embassy when he first came to office.
On the oratorical front, “politics is messy” says a lot about Obama: his characterization of process is more a detached and common-place dismissal you’d expect from someone who doesn’t understand it and isn’t involved in it, if you ask me, than a ringing endorsement of confidence by a studied practitioner who believes in it. I am struck in comparison by George W. Bush’s characterization, which I heard him make at an appearance in Toronto in 2009: “Democracy is hard. Just look at its history in my own country.” Movingly simple — it’s a lot of work but it’s worth doing, because, despite it’s difficulties, it has been instrumental in moving my country forward.
“They swell with pride for what you and I would find an embarrassment. ”
Well, PART of them swells, but it isn’t “with pride”, unless you meant gay pride.
I think that Obama really is equivalent to Lincoln – he is worth one red cent.
Obama couldn’t tie Abe Lincoln’s shoe laces.
I wonder if Lincoln ever had to answer questions like “Mr. President, is this your Washington moment?” I doubt it considering I don’t think Lincoln was a media darling.
As for the media? That question is better answered in 100 years, by an American public who has had the proper time to digest his actions and put them into context with the effects of those actions.
I thiink that in order for Obama to have his Lincoln moment someone else will have to have a John Wilkes Booth moment. Obama is not destined for, or capable of, greatness as a president. The best he can ever achieve will be to make it to he end of his term without being impeached.
Is this my projectile vomit moment.
Nope, he is not worth it.
As a historical, side footnote. My great-grandmother witnessed Sir John A McDonald vomit in Parliament, and noted that he wiped his mouth with his handkerchief, and said “That is what I think of your proposal, Mr Speaker” (he was very drunk, this is not official, can’t be proved)
My 95 year old grandmother related this. Little girls remember.
Might have been second hand, whatever, still a good story.
CBC will never admit to that.
Never. there were no white people in Canada before 1867 according to the CBC.
No Point, just a story.

My point?

A gag moment for me…
I bet they bow to him every time hes on set.
He sounded like a gushing teen age girl.
Its a sad moment when you see a man grovel like this in homage to just another man.
Like I have always said. You either worship a Man , God or an ideology based on physical gratification. Usually always ending with the latter following some false Prophet that titillates ones sense’s.
O..M..G…Revnant Dream nails it in one sentence. And who are you following,TOTUS worshippers?
Is this your Lincoln moment?
Since 2007 obama has attempted to compare himself to Abraham Lincoln.” Obama announced his candidacy on February 10, 2007 in front of the Old State Capitol in Springfield Illinois. He chose that location because that was where Abraham Lincoln delivered his “House of David” speech.” Lincoln’s birthday? The 12th of February.
obama has never had a Lincoln moment, never will. Had a 57 state moment on Lincoln’s birth-date and missed it.
