  2. I wonder when someone will write a book about the 158 Canadian soldiers who died in Afghanistan and the many more who were wounded. The twist to the book could be how Canada fought to defend Afghanistan form an enemy and to bring democracy to Afghanistan to make it a better place. A place just like Canada where everyone is equal and has equal opportunity. Another twist could be how Canada opened her doors to many many many Afghanistan immigrants and refugees instead of asking these refugees and immigrants to perhaps fight for their own country and spare our own soldiers. Oh how liberal that sounds of me. Well when we have Afghanistan people in Canada who hate us, who have tried to kill us and who have killed coalition soldiers what do we do? Open the doors to them once again. It’s okay, come to Canada for free health care, education, dental care, housing and welfare while we send our soldiers to die in your country. Don’t worry I won’t eve mention omhar khdar or his terrorists family our soldiers died to ensure that they could come to Canada and have a good life.

    Good read. Cognitive dissonance – the ability for humans to degnerate to inhuman acts when the standard of what is “normal” is changed. Certainly explains why cops can taser (torture AFA “pain compliance) cripples, deaf mutes, old ladies and kids without just cause, without threat to themselves and without remorse on a reflex.

    I just discovered the administration of Brookswood Secondary School in Langley, B.C. has delayed handing out report cards to the students.
    Apparently there is a section in the marks program where teachers can type in comments on each student; when the principals looked at hard copies of these report cards, they were shocked by how poor the grammar and spelling of their own teachers was. Teacher comments were also peppered with sarcastic remarks.
    It was so bad, and apparently so wide spread, the administration is having teachers redo them.
    I don’t see what the issue is. I mean, we have the best teachers in the world, right? That’s what I hear on the TV ads paid for by the BC Teachers’ Union. What’s the big deal if your kid’s teacher can’t spell?

    I predict the spring will bring a series spurious grevances from the teachers union just to remind the maverick principal who really runs the school system.
    Until a principal has the power to hire / fire teachers based on merit alone, they will remain a puppet of the teachers union.

  13. If it makes you feel better other james when I was in high school in BC we had to do a book report on the communist manifesto. The teacher was a huge fan and had pictures of him in the class. The principal often smelled like vodka. Sounds like your kids go to a good school.

    Civil asset forfeiture is not justice. For the state to require a person to forfeit his liberty or his property, a conviction must be obtained first. “Civil asset forfeiture” is totalitarian.
