Nukes are not a problem. Nuclear weapons do not kill people. The Shiite Mullahs in Iran kill people. Regime change in Iran by getting on the side of the people will solve this problem.

It’s the regime which is rotten. Most of the people are average, everyday, likeable folks. I wouldn’t wish a nuke on them in Tehran. I hope this situation can be resolved bloodlessly, though it’s not too likely. Economic improvements in the Free West as a rule unfortunately come at the expense of someone else’s urban renewal, after the military successfully tests their latest cool stuff.
Intelligence reports that have surfaced publicly, suggest that Iran will have a bomb capability by the summer of 2013.
Obama has warned the mullahs that if he doesn’t see some change of plan by late spring, he’s going to report them to the UN general assembly.
The Israeli’s will have to look after themselves. It wouldn’t surprise me if Obama thinks he can get more votes if or when Tel Aviv is turned into a glass parking lot.
Most people wouldn’t trust Obama with their lunch money, there’s no way Bibi is going to trust him with Israel’s survival.
I truly believe Israel is quite capable of neutering Iran’s nuclear ambitions. As a matter of fact, any army on earth would be wise not to poke that bear. They may lose, but the victor may need radical surgery to ever pull another trigger. Small doesn’t mean weak.

And it’s Obama who is ultimately responsible for allowing and enabling Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon.
His refusal to support the Iranian people in their demonstration for freedom and his support for Ahmandinejad has meant that Iran has no effective opposition in its agenda of control over the MENA.
Iran has meanwhile been infiltrating the other nations, supporting Hamas, Hezbollah, Iraq, Afghanistan, the MB in Egypt and elsewhere, spreading its network of control.
Iran wants Israel to attack it, so that it can retaliate. Not yet; it wants that bomb, but in the next two years. And, above all, while Obama is president. That’s because Iran knows that Obama will do nothing if Israel is attacked. Nothing.
Oh, wait; he’ll give a speech about toleration and ‘getting along with each other’ just as he did before the vicious negative election campaign he ran.

Iran has been “within five years” of developing nuclear weapons for the last 25 years. Big deal. They want nuclear weapons for the same reason that North Korea and Pakistan and India and China and Russia and Israel have nuclear weapons…to have access to weaponry that will prevent a preemptive attack upon them. They would never use a nuclear weapon on Israel because even the religious nuts in Iran realize that their country would be nuked into oblivion within 15 minutes after they launched such an attack.
We couldn’t even stop the posterboy for socialist success, the most inept regime in the world: North Korea from making a bomb.
Good luck stopping Iran. Face it they are going to get one, prepare for a world with them having it.

Pretty much irrelevant what these dollerama pundits say about the ME. This week Putin stated that Iran and the the west were edging closer to a “nuclear confrontation” in the ME and so did Krauthammer – pay attention to that and ignore the chattering classes.
The problem Phil is that even if Israel was incinerated by Iran, you would still say –
“Krauthammer is paranoid, insane and a danger to humanity. The farther away his ilk is from the button the better.”

Israel has the crown jewel of Islam — Jerusalem. And that renders her immune to a nuclear strike from any Muslim country.
The mullahs in Iran want to deploy not employ nukes. They wanna be the top dogs of the Middle East. They believe once they cross the nuclear threshold that would immunize them from a ground invasion by the US. The examples of Iraq and North Korea guide their thinking.
Solution to the problem: in the words of the Saudi monarchy “chop off the head of the snake”. Not thru a ground invasion but to get on the side of the people demonstrating against the Khomeiniacs.

Phil: clearly you have never heard of the Iranian leaderships desire to usher in a new caliphate.
That they don’t dare about their earthly fate if it means that Israel is obliterated. This is not a sane regime from a western perpective. Nuking Israel would be the ultimate suicide bombing and much of the Iranian leadership is okay with that. They operate on a completely different moral plane than Israel or the west does this they need to be dealt with in a Far more aggressive fashion.
