Jabari is the most senior Hamas official to be killed since an Israeli invasion of Gaza four years ago. He has long topped Israel’s most-wanted list.
Jabari, a relative of one of the founders of Hamas, Dr. Abdel Aziz Rantisi, was responsible for the attack on Kerem Shalom, when IDF soldier Gilad Shalit was kidnapped and two other soldiers killed. Jabari was in charge of negotiations during Shalit’s five years in captivity.

– East Jerusalem is the shared capital of Palestine and Israel
– No Jewish settlement is uprooted. (Settlers become Jewish citizen of Palestine)
Palestine recognize Israel as an Israeli state who has the right to live in security.
Israel recognize Palestine as a Palestinian state who has the right to live without occupation.
No Islamist Palestine and no Jewish Israel. Let’s make these 2 countries secular.

1) As I have (probably) noted previously……I was in Syria (& Iraq) in 1963, (four years PRIOR to the ’67 borders)…at that time people talked about “killing the Jews”….so, if the ’67 borders were ‘unacceptable’ in ’63, what makes you think the Arabs would welcome them now?

They’ve been forced into peace arrangements; deals they never have carried out, and will annul just as soon as the ink is dry. No, they want to kill any Jews that remain. Including those not living in Israel. And while they’re at it, they would like to enslave any non-Muslims.
Israel needs to get the attention of the Palestinians. Use your imagination as to how.
The Israeli government’s tolerance of Hamas government in the Gaza strip is a disgrace. Crushing them would eliminate a problem that doesn’t have Syria to go back to anymore and make the Muslim Brotherhood government of Egypt look impotent.

The problem with leftists is that they lie so often for the purpose of gain they cannot seem to recognize the plain truth. Every Islamic militant organization on the planet has in its published charter or statement of purpose the extrication of Israel from the “Arab lands” and the elimination of the Jews. Unlike when western groups spout rhetoric purely for political gain the Islamic groups actually mean it. When they say they want the Jews gone and dead they *actually* want the Jews gone and dead. It is not a propaganda ploy to frighten them into leaving. To open your borders against that would be suicide. There is no political or humanitarian solution to a situation like that. My solution – eliminate the borders with Gaza and the West Bank completely – after the current inhabitants have all left for Jordan or Syria where they can live with their brothers and sisters in Islamic states of bliss. They want the right to return to Israel? They had the right to not leave to begin with.
