It is so sad that Americans sold out free enterprise.
At the end of four years, they will be sorry. Probably too late. The decline that started four years ago will finish them off.
Their constitution is going to be a scrap of yesterday’s paper, the masses will not pay attention to.
The masses will get their free stuff until there is nothing left.
It will be interesting to see what Buffett, Gates and Hollywood crowd will say when they will have to pay the bills for the takers.
On the other hand, there will be another American revolution if there are any real people left.
It is just sad, what can one say now.
This is about what i expected but slightly worse than i hoped. But i dont hinge my existence on ‘hope.’ it is what it is.
A lot of sorry ass lame Mike Foxtrots are celebrating with tears rolling down their cheeks. It is pathetic that a human being, especislly an American, to worship at the altar of a man…and such an unremarkable man at that. They do more honor to their philosophy than they do to themselves.
Their victory is hollow. Obama’s agenda is over. He has some power to affect our nation in the courts, but no longer with new laws. America affirmed far and wide to send their Republican representatives back to Congress. The national vote was nearly split, and in many states the margin was razor thin. Second place isnt always the first loser. Gridlock will prevail for at least two years.
Obama’s legacy is both affirmed and challenged. He has joined the club of two term presidents, but he has earned complete responsibility for the next four years.
Im not predicting doom, because ive seen worse presidents do no worse. We will survive…at least for a little while. Our worst problems were just kicked down the road, and the reckoning will come.

I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain — and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.
I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.
I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,
But not to call me back or say good-bye;
And further still at an unearthly height,
A luminary clock against the sky
Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.

First thing I’m going to do is to buy some Ruger stock. Second, I’m going to pound the crap out of the first person who tells me how wonderful that the TOTUS wasn’t scrapped.
It seems to defy mathematics that an election can be this close. Talked to a friend in Florida and apparently there were still huge lines outside of polling places after the polls closed, machines were breaking down and a lot of people didn’t get to vote. Also, there was likely a huge amount of fraud committed by Dumbocrats both as a result of dead people voting as well as illegal immigrants voting and people voting multiple times.
Thus, the election results are null and void. At the very best, a result this close should be a strong signal to a rational president that the country is so divided that any major change should be avoided. Obozo is not at all rational and has a totalitarian agenda. Thus, the best case scenario for the US is a second civil war. At least that will give the side of freedom a chance to eliminate the forces of darkness. The worst case scenario is that the US slides into 3rd world dictatorship status and western civilization is destroyed.
The one bright spot in this mess is that the house is controlled by Republicans. The speaker of the house is 3rd in line after the president and vice president. I’m sure that millions of people have worked out the process of getting a Republican president in the current political mess and I suspect that Obozo and Biden will be more heavily shielded than any individuals in US history. One can only hope there are some patriots in the US Secret Service who might have some accidental discharges in the direction of certain loathsome totalitarians.
There are a number of options available to freedom loving states with secession being at the top of the list. Right now the US is split into a central core which produces all of the wealth and a periphery which appropriates a large portion of that wealth and distributes it to parasites. Cut off a parasites food supply and it dies.
What is needed now is a greatly expanded TEA party which will take a far more activist role in politics. The people in power are criminals and should be treated as such. They have achieved their positions through a perversion of the democratic process and should be made to live in fear. Things are going to get very ugly and, if anyone in the US hasn’t armed themselves, it’s time to do so now while it’s still possible. A minimum combination is a rifle of .308 or better caliber (I’ve never understood the US fascination with the .223) and a .45 pistol. Women might be better served with a 9 mm pistol as lesser recoil will improve accuracy. Also, stock up on ammo; the more the better. A .22 rifle and pistol would also be useful as it’s a lot cheaper to practice with these and the skills are transferable to the higher caliber arms used in any serious confrontation.
Likely the first target of the new totalitarians will be communications. The internet makes it very easy for people to organize and technologies like tor make it possible to anonymize ones IP address. Look for greatly expanded surveillance of the internet and cutting off of internet access to large areas of the country. That’s where the EFF’s open WiFi movement comes in as this would allow people in a sufficiently densely populated area to create a wireless mesh network allowing communications among people without relying on the conventional internet. The EFF proposal is to have all communications encrypted with strong encryption thus frustrating the statists at multiple levels. Now is the time to buy up as many routers and computer systems as possible to implement such a system before treacherous computing takes hold. Also, buy up generators as one way the totalitarians might try to frustrate communications is to cut off power.
A government which is dedicated to preserving freedom is what allows a society of autonomous individuals to pursue their own goals. The achilles heel of such a society is that people assume the benevolence of the government – a reasonable assumption as long as the party in power subscribes the the tenets of the US constitution. In order to counter what is in effect an usurpation of the power of the people by organized criminals, it will be necessary for people to organize into groups. The organizational plan is within the US constitution and thus spontaneous groups can arise in multiple areas of the country which will attack totalitarian forces locally. Such groups can be extremely effective as what organizes them is a meme rather than a typical hierarchy of individuals.
The success of this method has been demonstrated by Al Queda which has used the concept of jihad against infidels as its primary meme. This is a competing meme which will also have to be vanquished in the battleground of ideas but it is relatively easy to take out given its primitiveness.
So the battle begins.
Hi Lance
Any chance of getting me out of comment withheld purgatory? TIA
I hate to say it, but the mainstream media & mainstream polling firms called this right on the button. All the right-wing polling, sites like Breitbart, etc, even Sun News up here –it’s turns out they were nothing but cheerleaders. All those Dem-skewed polls turned out to be accurate, not a conspiracy theory.
I’m beginning to question the wisdom of living in a media world where it’s simply a right-wing echo chamber. This is now the third contest in a row where Sun News gave us the news we wanted to hear, told us we couldn’t lose, and we lost. The Redford election, tonight, and before them all, the failure to have Trudeau knocked out.
It’s a sad night for America, but they’ve got to do what we did in ’04. Strap it up and get back to work and win the next one.
If you’re a Canadian conservative you have some work to do. Write a cheque to the Tories. Find a young person in your life, and start talking politics. You have three years to convince them that voting conservative is the way to go. If we don’t get on it now, we’re going to be feeling the same way in 2015 and shaking our heads about Prime Minister Trudeau.
This is what we get for only voting once.
right-wing echo chamber.???
We bicker all the time, over years, sometimes.
Come back when you have pubic hair, hipster.
And stop wearing “ironic fake glasses”
Go back to the CBC, kid before I taunt you a second time.

Hey Dale,
That was intelligent commentary. I’m 35, a vet, and donate the maximum to the Tories every year. It’s cute of you to accuse me of being a hipster while quoting Monty Python though.
We conservatives often do live in a right wing echo chamber. We go online here, FFoF, Breitbart, Drudge, we watch Fox and Sun news, we read the National Post, we read Steyn. We discount nearly every other news source. As it turns out, the sources we turn to are about 1% less than half the story. And that, my friend, is something we need to be cautious of.
If you consulted primarily right-wing media over the course of this election campaign, chances are you thought the economy was the biggest issue in the campaign. Clearly it wasn’t. Polls suggested a majority of Americans thought Romney would do a better job on the economy than Obama, and yet they still voted for him. Chances are you also thought Libya was a huge story. With the electorate anyway, it wasn’t. Unemployment? Nope. Polls skewed towards the Democrats? Turns out they were right to do so.
Much as I love someone like Ezra Levant, he’s now 0-2 on election calls. Maybe that’s because he doesn’t really understand what the issues are in a given election. He might be right on big picture stuff like freedom of speech, but he’s sure been piss-poor about interpreting pre-election data. He’s a cheerleader, just like many of the pundits we’ve been going to for information over this campaign.
Cheerleaders don’t win the game. What’s more, if you’re too focused on the cheerleaders, as I feel many of us are, you lose sight of the ball.
That was my point. Because in three years the right-wing media in this country will have us believing that everything is super-dooper a-okay heading into the election. That kind of willful ignorance about what the other side is not only saying, but what they’re thinking, how the public is responding to them, etc, is how we’re going to wind up with a PM sponsored by Vidal Sassoon.
Jeez, I guess Bam Bam now gets to use his new rec room. You know, the one where he gets to watch live action as his personal assassination orders are carried out. And no pesky due process for the American citizens that are on his kill list.
Careful trolls – you just might end up on that list.

Why would he? Millions of American just like you just told him they approve of murdering innocent brown people at wedding parties with drones. Of course they have also always supported the Liberal Democrat racist baby murder factories which targets Negros for abortion, so no surprise at all.

Chill the f*&k out and spare everyone the sensationalist drivel. The mentality that leads you to spout such nonsense is the same that couldn’t possibly foresee that Romney didn’t have this in the bag when it was completely obvious. Grand delusions you have. Last I checked the GOP still had control on the house, which in my mind, means gridlock, nothing but gridlock.

Well put.
An intelligent person isn’t afraid to get ‘news’ from a variety of sources with a range of viewpoints. By synthesizing and analyzing all perspectives on an issue, one can get an objective, unbiased understanding.
Those who only read sources that parrot their preconceived notions will often find themselves surprised when reality bites them on the ass.

Oh their armed, even the Libtards are hedging their bets and buying guns when the neighbors aren’t looking these days. It’s not just ‘gun owning conservatives” driving up those Ruger shares to all time records. Of course those guns will just become trading items for someone else later on. Give them an F+ for effort and an A+ for predictable hypocrisy.
As for “J Garrets” situational awareness on what’s happening in the US, what can be said?
Enjoy the blissful utopia.
I’m just gonna have to use that “PM sponsored by Vidal Sassoon” line from time to time James, thanks.
@ (the other) James
You are far too reality based to comment here.
Aside to the rest
Please Conservatives get ever more extreme and nominate more and more doctrinaire candidates because evidently, it is ballot box dynamite for you.
How many pluralities in the last 6 US elections has the right won ?
Once again the Republicans are window-dressing, losing elections to show how fair the system is and how we should all cheerfully accept the mandate of the people.
America has just taken the laxative. Over the next 4 years it’s bowels will be voiding all the poison
it has developed during the past four.
By the time the next election cycle comes around, America will be cleansed and ready to go.
It would appear that the rule of law means nothing to a sizable percentage of Americans. Obama’s win is when the beacon of the free world ran out of batteries and descended into darkness. Forget the healing of the planet and the rise of the oceans. We’re looking at more stick it to Whitey and give me free stuff on the part of a sizable chunk of the population who don’t contribute to either America’s can-do, love-your-neighbour-as-yourself culture or coffers. The barbarians aren’t at the gates, they’re inside and they’re in for a long squat.
From squeaky clean to down and dirty. This is a sad day for our neighbours to the South. I’m not saying friends or allies because, under Oblahblah, we can no longer count on American friendship or support.
I’m hoping that this election galvanizes the Republicans to rebuild and challenge at every turn Obama’s dystopian vision for America. I’m sensing that if the Leftards didn’t like the Tea Party, they may be really disenchanted by what comes next. America’s destiny is in the balance: freedom and enterprise or free phones and contraceptives?
The contrasts are pretty stark this morning.
I weep for America this morning, and I weep for Canada, for as I heard the news on the radio this morning, I realized that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau awaits us in the very near future.
And for those who would scoff at this notion, may I point at the predictions thread, where I & many others delusionally believed that this election would produce a clear Romney victory. What James said @ 3:26AM about us having 1% less than half the information is clearly appropriate.
There is something gone wrong with the world, something we conservatives do not know or do not understand. The worst president I have ever seen won a close but clear reelection, in the worst American economic conditions I have ever seen. It makes absolutely no sense to a conservative mind. I would have thought it would make no sense to ANY rational mind, but clearly I am wrong.
I think that is what scares me the most.
The situation we find ourselves in has come about because we have become a soft and superficial people. We have spurned our traditional beliefs in favor of fads. We know more about the Kardashians than the Constitution. We have become more a nation of takers than makers, and ever more a nation of broken families that looks at government as daddy rather than as a necessary evil. The fact is, stable husbands and wives and churchgoers voted for Romney, while singles voted for Obama. But a narrow majority of America’s Catholics voted with Obama as well despite his direct and public attack on their church. A heavy majority of the Jewish vote went for Obama, again, despite his hostility toward Israel. Decadence is good for Democrats, and the evidence that Obama’s victories provide is that we are decadent. We have no god, yet Obama is somehow its prophet. http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2012/11/06/catastrophe/2/
James at 3:26
Great post, that.
But what exactly was this election about then? If not teh economy, then what?
It would appear that I don’t understand the situation in the USA these days. I was completely wrong, the polls were completely right.
One thing I do know is there are a hell of a lot of guys waking up today making plans to buy more supplies and amm0 “just in case”. The smart people who work for large companies are making plans to get another job, because they will all be part timers by January first.
So, I may not know electoral politics but I can still see lightning and hear thunder. This defeat of common sense makes me appreciate Stephen Harper a hell of a lot more too. He’s a freaking genius.
Thank God for the CPC.
Ladies and gentlemen, what did any of you expect? That anybody whose opinion counted for anything was about to let Obama be thrown out of office? If you honestly thought that you learned nothing from the Alberta election.
The banksters paid good money for Obama to oversee the Romanianization of America over the next four years. And, God help us, they got their money’s worth.
Loki, my cable provider pipes in NBC Detroit. They were showing footage of packs of feral farm animals still lined up to vote past 11, when most people who had to work for a living had long since gone to bed. (Nobody who had turned up by 8pm would be turned away, claimed the announcer.) If you think Michigan’s long suffering whites would have gotten such treatment, may I interest you in a discount on the Ambassador Bridge.
I had to switch it off when the Detroit affiliate showed their anchor reporting the “electrifying” revels by Obama partisans in New York City yelling their empty heads off. The Detroit Jezebel at the mike could barely contain her own glee.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama made it a lot harder to access the Internet. Three hours a day of electricity because Hydro-Québec cut off New York City’s power for lack of payment will be the perfect excuse.
I hope the idiots had fun while they could. New York won’t be as fun a place to be in a few years when it’s pitch black after 8pm, and you have to beg the relatives back in flyover country that you look down on because they believe in God for whatever produce they can spare, because anything worth eating will be exported to line the banks’ pockets.
Pray for the salvation of America, and of our own dominion—and their quick deliverance from the banksters and Barack Hussein Obama.
Next Christmas in Bucharest!

I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.
I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,
But not to call me back or say good-bye;

Punk.

Gah!
Okay, sleep-nightmare time.
‘Night Ms Mamba
I’m changeout for this morning.

Dale.
Hey Dale,
That was intelligent commentary.
Quebecois NDP separatist >
“Obama must end this shameful and disgusting drone war.’
